00:00Welcome back to another LuantyMod review. Today we are looking at the Bouncy Leaves mod, which as you might expect,
00:07makes the leaves kind of bouncy.
00:10Now we couldn't really notice that too much, but they're a little bouncy, right?
00:15A little bit of a bounce for comparison.
00:20That's what it normally looks like when you hit the ground. You just stop.
00:25But not so much if you have the bouncy leaves.
00:27And evidently I'm in creative mode.
00:30That's cool. That's fun. I didn't realize that.
00:33It doesn't really affect anything at all.
00:36I'm just going to make a little tower here.
00:39I have some of these stones that I happen to have.
00:41Now in addition to them being slightly bouncy, they're not as bouncy as they could be.
00:49But, oh, well that time it still killed me. Boo.
00:54But it doesn't always kill you.
00:56So, it has a reduction in fall damage.
01:00So, here is where I did my original test.
01:04So, I'll just come back up here to the height of, oops, to the height of this tower.
01:09And if I were to walk from here onto the leaves, we bounce a little and we take some damage.
01:16You know, totally not unexpected.
01:18Because that was a decent fall.
01:20So, now what if we do about that.
01:24We were one node.
01:25Of course, that was falling onto leaves.
01:27You know what? Whatever. It doesn't matter.
01:29It's close enough for signs, right?
01:30And we walk off the edge here.
01:33I should have paid more attention.
01:35I thought it was going to kill me.
01:36So, I should have paid more attention to how many hearts we lost the first jump.
01:39And how many of you lost the second jump.
01:42But you know what? That's fine.
01:43That's fine.
01:46Oh, that's not so fine, though.
01:47I can't get on top of the stone.
01:50No, I can't, though.
01:51Bada boom, bada bing.
01:52Because we've all been there, you know.
01:56You're wandering around on top of something tall.
01:59I don't know what.
02:00And there happened to be trees nearby.
02:04And, I mean, sure, you could build a ladder to get down.
02:07Or build a stairway to get down.
02:10Or dump some water to get down.
02:12But what if you don't have stairs?
02:14Or water?
02:16Or materials to build a path down.
02:19But there just happens to be trees on the ground.
02:23Well, that makes it perfect.
02:24Because you can just jump onto the trees.
02:26And have a reduced impact when you hit the ground.
02:31It does not negate it entirely.
02:33And it also doesn't really bounce you very high.
02:35You can't really use this for, like, a parkour kind of thing.
02:38Where it's like, oh, I'm going to bounce from this.
02:41And then, you know, be able to get a higher jump.
02:44Nah, it ain't going to give you that, chief.
02:47Like, if we do this.
02:50You know.
02:50The bounce.
02:52The bounce ain't much.
02:55Very minimal.
02:57Just enough so that it makes sense why you're not taking fall damage.
03:03Because, like I said, the bounciness could be more bouncy.
03:08There are...
03:11I think that's a node group level thing.
03:14But anyways, yeah.
03:15That's all it does.
03:17It just makes leaves bouncy.
03:19It doesn't really matter what leaves.
03:20They could be these leaves.
03:21They could be aspen leaves, jungle leaves, pine needles, bush leaves.
03:25Just leaves.
03:29I don't know about non-mine test game.
03:31Or actually, I guess, just default leaves.
03:34I don't know about any other mods.
03:38If it has some sort of system internally.
03:41Where it determines what a leaf is.
03:43Or if it's just a hard-coded table.
03:44I didn't check that out.
03:45I probably should have.
03:46But that's it.
03:48That's the mod.
03:48Bouncy leaves.

03:51It's on the content database.
03:53Just go ahead and search for bouncy leaves.
03:54Or if you want to download it and install it manually.
