00:00A new Star Trek game has just been announced that is nothing like any game in the franchise so far
00:04and looks much more like a Silent Hill title.
00:06Nobody saw this coming, but Paramount are releasing a massive AAA psychological thriller called Star Trek Shadow Frontier.
00:12It might be the darkest Star Trek game ever made, especially if you have a look at the developer behind
00:16it.
00:16The game is being made by Bloober Team, the exact same studio behind the terrifying Silent Hill 2 remake and
00:21the recent Kronos.
00:23You play as Ro Laren, the fan-favorite officer from the next generation, voiced once again by Michelle Forbes.
00:27But this isn't a mission aboard a sleek Federation starship.
00:30After responding to a distress call, Ro crash-lands on a mysterious planet that's basically a giant spaceship graveyard.
00:36And that's where things get weird, because this planet is alive.
00:39It twists memories, creates horrifying creatures, and slowly tries to take control of Ro's mind.
00:44The deeper she explores, the harder it becomes to tell what's real and what's not.
00:48You'll still use classic Star Trek gear like tricorders and phasers, but this time they're tools for survival in a
00:53psychological nightmare.
00:54So, what do you think? Is this a brilliant new direction or a complete skip?
