00:00Rarely have I met a game that so perfectly blends the survival tension of a Resident Evil game
00:04with the exploration and challenge of a great Metroidvania.
00:08But, end of abyss, the new game by former Little Nightmares developers,
00:11is succeeding with exactly that and gave me one of the most enjoyable adventures of the year.
00:15I finished it early, so let me tell you everything you need to know.
00:18You play as a tech worker sent deep into an abandoned, multi-floor underground bunker for a routine fix.
00:23But the second you step inside, the heavy steel door seals shut behind you
00:26and you are trapped with things that absolutely do not want you there.
00:30The game mixes creepy Little Nightmares-style atmosphere with twin-stick shooting and Metroidvania exploration.
00:35You'll scan rooms, unlock shortcuts, find new tools, and backtrack through areas that were impossible to reach before.
00:41And the game can be challenging at times, but it's a lot less punishing than those early Resident Evil games.
00:46Your ammo, for example, is limited, but only on your secondary weapons, while your pulse pistol never runs dry.
00:51End of Abyss is out on October 1st for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
00:55Are you brave enough to go down there?
00:56Tell me in the comments.
