00:00I have not been able to figure out exactly what I think is going to happen
00:10with Kaitlin Clark in Indiana, but I think it is undeniable,
00:19and Coach is going to be able to speak to this better than I can.
00:21I just want to kind of set the stage.
00:23I think it is undeniable that there is something going on.
00:31I think that last year the Las Vegas Aces were, at the midway point, terrible.
00:41Aja Wilson was a pending free agent,
00:45and I, as someone who had bet Vegas to win the title,
00:50started talking about Vegas trading her.
00:52And what you kind of realize is the league is different.
00:56That's not going to be a thing, right?
01:00And Aja won the championship and signed, you know, to remain in Las Vegas.
01:05So this isn't a league that you get.
01:10I feel a lot of star chatter is leaving, you know, oh, you know how the league is, man.
01:17We're always trying to push someone out to a big market.
01:19Like, no, that's not really true.
01:22Yet there seems to be some, and again, maybe it's because she's just covered at a different level,
01:29but there is some tension, right, coach, in Indiana with Kaitlyn Clark going on, or no?
01:38Is this nothing?
01:39No, I think this is.
01:41I talked to someone that's very well connected to women's basketball,
01:46and I made a point of, like, does the league need to get Kaitlyn out of Indiana
01:53because it's almost too much?
01:57And the reason why I said it is, is if they are the only team,
02:02Indiana had a terrible year to Pacers, right?
02:04The Colts don't start training camp until the end of July.
02:08Not only is she the biggest story in WNBA, she's the only story locally.
02:13So everything that she does is just magnified because of social media.
02:19So look at what happened last week against Portland.
02:21Terrible game.
02:22They show the interaction with Stephanie White in the sideline,
02:26and now it becomes a full-fledged firestorm.
02:31And when I said to someone, I'm like, they need to get her,
02:33and I just said it's stupid, like, they need to get her to somewhere like New York
02:37or Vegas, or not Vegas, or LA.
02:41Someone that's got so many other sports stars in cities that it's just not, like,
02:45all the time, all the time, all the time for this kid.
02:48And that person said, you may be right.
02:50But then he made a point.
02:51He goes, there's only two coaches in the league that are not coach-killable.
02:58That's Cheryl Reeve, and that is Becky Hammond.
03:03Every other coach, they can knock you off.
03:06Look what they did to Sandy Brundello in New York.
03:09And I'm not saying they ran her out of town, but it's literally like, yo,
03:13we need to get someone else in here.
03:14The team literally just won a WNBA championship the year before,
03:17and the next year she's gone.
03:19Stephanie White has won championships in this league.
03:23But the way this league is so, you don't think other sports are dominated by players?
03:30This league, with this player, everything that she does is going to be watched.
03:36Now, good thing for her, the next game they win against Atlanta, they won by 12.
03:41But here we go.
03:42Right back today.
03:44No NBA this weekend.
03:46Indiana at New York.
03:48So here come all, because every game's on national TV, Kevin,
03:54everything this kid does is watched.
03:57And it's great for the sport, but it's unfortunate,
04:00because sometimes I think it's too much on a kid, let's be honest, who's 25 years old.
