00:00The deal was facing enormous problems from the beginning, right? Because the Iranians clearly
00:06want the southern Lebanon portion included in the deal. Israel does not think it should be
00:13included in the deal. They think that southern Lebanon that is occupied by Hezbollah poses a
00:19direct security threat to northern Israel and the Israelis. So, you know, Israel and the U.S.,
00:25frankly, have been diverging on this point. That's why we saw Trump call Prime Minister Netanyahu the
00:31other day and use a bunch of choice words to explain the U.S.'s position and why he thought
00:39what Israel was doing was madness and not really helping the situation at all. But, you know,
00:43a lot of this stems back to a few weeks ago when you had Israel and Lebanon forge their ceasefire
00:50deal. And there was a lot of hoopla about that, you know, that it was a very significant milestone
00:56because Israel and Lebanon typically do not talk directly. But, you know, the reality is we've got
01:02to put this into perspective. Lebanon is not Hezbollah and Hezbollah is not Lebanon. And Hezbollah is a
01:07terrorist group living within Lebanon and Lebanon only has a certain amount of influence over the
01:14group. And so that's why I think, you know, you're seeing these these unfortunate situations unfold.
