00:04saying that they don't want Lebanon to enter talks with Israel. But Israel's side of it,

00:10it says it's intensifying strikes. And the reason it's doing that is because Hezbollah

00:16is rearming itself in Lebanon. And this is a clear violation of the ceasefire deal

00:22that was signed with Israel. And this is where the big conversation is happening at the moment.

00:28Can you give me any concrete examples right now about how the Lebanese government

00:33is working to disarm Hezbollah and what steps it's taking? Because this is clearly

00:39something that Israel is seeing as a violation to that ceasefire.

00:44Yeah, well, to be quite honest with you, we don't actually believe that Hezbollah has the ability

00:49to be able to be rearming themselves. We believe that Israel is actually creating a reason for

00:55them to continue the escalation and then the attacks. Having said that, both sides have

01:00actually not complied with the ceasefire agreement. But more importantly, both sides, Israeli and Hezbollah,

01:08did not comply with the 17-hour resolution when it first came out in 2006. And obviously,

01:14we had to go into a period where there was always issues between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah did not

01:24give up their arms from 2006 by not complying to the 17-hour resolution. At the same time,

01:30Israeli kept attacking Lebanon. And now what the government is doing? The government is doing

01:37all it can to be able to apply the ceasefire agreement in all its points. There was clearly

01:45some decisions made by the government. Now, Israel is not allowing the Lebanese government,

01:53in my opinion, enough time to be able to make sure that those agreements are actually made by the

01:59deadlines. Our deadline was until the 31st of December. What Israel should be doing, it should

02:04be withholding all attacks on Lebanon until the 31st of December. This is the deadline for the first stage

02:13of the road map made and then provided by the Lebanese army for Israel to be, for, sorry, for Hezbollah

02:22to be surrendering their arms, at least in the south of the Litani.
