00:00Will Hezbollah ever give up its weapons?
00:02A U.S. brokered peace deal aims to do what decades of war couldn't, disarm Hezbollah.
00:09The U.S., Israel and Lebanon have agreed on a new framework to ending the conflict.
00:14Israel says it'll fully withdraw from southern Lebanon, but only if Hezbollah gives up all of its weapons.
00:21Lebanon has agreed.
00:23The plan starts in two areas along the border.
00:26The Lebanese army would move in, dismantle Hezbollah's military, infrastructure and take control.
00:32If it works, the plan expands.
00:35There's just one problem.
00:37Hezbollah wasn't part of the negotiations.
00:40Its leader Naim Qasem has already rejected the agreement, calling it null, void and humiliating.
00:47And some Hezbollah officials are warning that if the Lebanese army tries to take the group's weapons by force,
00:53Lebanon could be pushed towards another civil war.
00:57That leaves Lebanon at an impasse.
00:59Hezbollah says it won't disarm.
01:01Israel says it won't fully withdraw until it does.
01:05That's why some analysts believe this agreement could end in a stalemate,
01:09with neither side willing or able to meet the other's conditions.
01:14The real test begins now.
01:16Can the Lebanese government actually make this deal work?
