00:06Hey, what's up, I'm Brian here doing another video for you guys, and this time we're talking
00:11about another Transformers crossover line and how disappointed I am.
00:15Now, I understand that this toy line is not necessarily directed for me, it's directed
00:20for kids, so I can disassociate that.
00:23I can understand that kids might enjoy this.
00:26However, for me, who's been into Transformers and who loved Monster Jam as a kid, I mean
00:33I still have some of the Monster Jam stuff, I even have the El Toro Loco, I have a Megalodon,
00:38but it's transparent pink, I even have, if you don't know, this predates El Toro Loco,
00:43but I have the Bulldozer, that's from when it was licensed by Hot Wheels, and I even went
00:49to the shows as a kid, I've got one of the pamphlets or magazine things from 2003 that
00:56you actually got from the show floor if you came in early, and I remember seeing that
01:01big metal lizard thing that would crush the cars, and I would always be so excited to
01:07see that.
01:08So, yes, I have a history with Monster Jam, and hearing that it was going to collide with
01:13Transformers, I thought, okay, perfect opportunity to get some of the figures.
01:17I actually have both of these in the LEGO Technic line, but I've got to be honest, I'm not excited
01:24for how they look, you know.
01:26The alt modes, they look very chunky, they look very bloated, which, yes, they are Monster
01:31Trucks, but if you actually look at a Monster Truck, you see the roll cage, you see all the
01:37bars, and then you can actually see the engine from underneath.
01:41So, seeing it in this chunky form, it just looks a little weird.
01:44I understand that it's a Transformer, so regardless of what line it's going to be, regardless of
01:50the engineering, it's going to look like that.
01:52It's going to have some sort of kibble, it's going to have some sort of bulk.
01:55So, I do understand that.
01:57It's just kind of weird because it's all red, so it blends in with the top of the truck,
02:01and the truck looks a little too bloated, but I do like that.
02:04It's got the classic horn, so then the, you know, the black window that kind of goes down
02:08like it's some sort of angry eye, and you've got the teeth on the side, so that all looks
02:13pretty good.
02:14But then you go to the robot mode, and it's got like, what, four or five steps in the
02:22transformation, no elbow joints, the knees are, I don't know, laughable at best, and then
02:30he's got no head articulation, I'm just, I'm not feeling it, you know?
02:35It's like the Titan Changers, or the Evergreen figures, not the Titan Class figures, but
02:40those Titan that were like six-inch figures of, let's say, Age of Extinction Optimus Prime,
02:45or Bumblebee that transformed in like three, maybe even less steps.
02:50So, that's the vibe I'm getting here.
02:52Some of the things I do like is the hooves on the feet.
02:55I actually like the sculpting for the hands, and I like the paint with the gunmetal, I
03:00love the head sculpt because it's a bull, and considering its history as Bulldozer, and
03:05then, you know, obviously got the horns and the face there, uh, that does make sense.
03:10So, I like that a lot.
03:11It actually kind of reminds me of a Robots in Disguise Decepticon from the 2015 line.
03:17But, yeah, just seeing that they went this route, it's disappointing for me, but I know
03:22it's not directed for me.
03:23Uh, also, they have names now.
03:26It's not just El Toro Loco, which that's the one that the other one is based on.
03:31Uh, that one's called Furioso.
03:35So, Mad Max, I guess.
03:37And then, Megalodon, they decided to give it a name, which is Big Tooth.
03:43Okay.
03:44It just seems kind of weird because there was really no issue with just having El Toro Loco
03:49and Megalodon, but okay, give them names.
03:52Uh, this one has Autobot logos on the shoulder.
03:55So, obviously, they're going to be tied to Autobots, which some people are upset that they
03:59keep doing that for the crossover lines.
04:02But it's not like those companies really want to think, oh, yeah, we're bad guys, you know?
04:08So, I understand that.
04:10I actually like the alt mode a little bit better than I do for El Toro Loco, and I think
04:15it's
04:15probably just the lighting.
04:17I think the blue here kind of makes it look a little more, I don't know, I guess busy.
04:24So, it actually does, it doesn't look as flat.
04:28But I do not like the tail fin because it's so bulky.
04:31And there's a reason why, is because that transforms into the feet, or transforms, I
04:35guess.
04:36But, uh, yeah, it just looks too bulky.
04:38The design of the robot, I actually really like even a little bit more than El Toro Loco.
04:44I love what they're doing for the chest.
04:45It almost looks like the front of the vehicle has just kind of crunched up, which I really
04:51do like.
04:52Because if you know, with the original Monster Jam, and if you've been to the show, sometimes
04:56they do get in a wreck.
04:57Sometimes they do get beat up like that.
04:59So, I think that's pretty cool.
05:01So, uh, maybe I'm seeing that wrong, but it does look like it's just flattened in itself.
05:05And, uh, it also seems like it's got a different hand compared to the other one.
05:10One seems a little more bulky.
05:11I'm not sure if that's maybe a hook hand or something.
05:13Uh, it seems weird.
05:15But the head sculpt, I really like on this figure.
05:18So, it seems like a basic head until you realize that the helmet around it, which I love
05:22the helmet, is a jaw.
05:25At the bottom here, you can see the teeth.
05:27So, I think that looks pretty cool.
05:28But, uh, yeah.
05:29Yeah, will I get these?
05:31I don't know.
05:32If they're cheap enough, fine.
05:33Maybe I'll get El Toro Loco, because that's actually my favorite Monster Truck.
05:37Well, Bulldozer is, then they transition to El Toro Loco.
05:42But, I don't know.
05:43It might not just be for me.
05:46Um, I'm kind of hoping that they also do Gravedigger.
05:48It's kind of weird that they didn't start off with Gravedigger, but I can imagine that
05:53that's down the line.
05:55Anyways, what do you guys think?
