00:07Hello, what's up, I'm Brian here doing another video for you guys, and this time we're taking a look at,
00:11I think this is the sixth wave of Age of the Primes, I don't know, I've lost track at this
00:16point, but I think it's the third wave coming out for 2026.
00:21Now we saw the listings, we knew what was coming out for this wave, and we also knew that the
00:27Armada Megatron reissue or re-release was going to be replaced by Megazarek, and I'm happy to report that seems
00:35to be the case.
00:36Also, we do now officially know that the Unicron Soldier has been titled the Herald of Unicron, and it seems
00:44more like it's going to be a G2 reference more than a Cybertron reference.
00:49But anyways, let's go ahead and start off with the deluxe class figures, we've got Tailgate, and obviously because we
00:56have the Studio Series 86 Windcharger, we need to have the Tailgate because they share the mold for their original
01:03figures, and obviously with a bunch of repaints that came out years after, they keep sharing the same molds, so
01:09they're doing the same thing here.
01:11Except that there's actually a lot more changes compared to, let's say, the original, I think it was Power of
01:17the Primes, and Combiner Wars versions of the Tailgates and the Windchargers.
01:24So, obviously, this one does not come with the big yellow brap blast effect thing on the back of him.
01:31This one does carry a different weapon, you can see that on the bottom there, I'll talk about that in
01:36a second, but basically it's the same alt mode, you know, it's the white Pontiac, you can see the Autobot
01:41logo on the hood, and I think this looks very nice.
01:44I like these particular colors, I think that the wheels and the rims actually really complemented, especially with the black
01:50windows, so, yeah, I'm thrilled to see this.
01:54I also love the proportions of this, I recently got the Studio Series 86 Windcharger, and I love that vehicle
02:00mode, it's very solid.
02:01Take a look at the robot mode, so, they didn't do as many changes compared to gears and swerve, but
02:09there are a couple of things that are different.
02:11First of all, the chest has been changed out to look more like the original toy, and I do like
02:16that, because he doesn't need that gap, and that's exactly how Tailgate should look like.
02:21They also changed out the head, not just the box around it, because it seems like it has the same
02:26gimmick, where there's a tab on the back of it, and if you move that, his head will move up
02:30and down, which I think is a really cool gimmick.
02:33But, the box around it seems to be different, and then the face itself, it seems very tiny in there,
02:39but it is that classic G1 silver face, and, you know, I don't necessarily mind it.
02:45It looks very angry for Tailgate.
02:47And then, again, it's got that new blaster piece, and I can tell it's a new blaster, because it's got
02:52this cone shape on the barrel.
02:54This one's a little more sleek compared to it.
02:57They didn't have to do that, but they did it anyways, and I'm totally fine with it.
03:02I also like that dark, kind of faded, turquoise color.
03:06I actually like the look at this a little bit more than the Power of the Primes one.
03:10I don't mind the Power of the Primes tailgate, but I'm starting to realize I didn't really care for it
03:16that much.
03:16So, I'm thrilled to see that I can upgrade to a new deluxe form, and I still love the fact
03:23that they're doing these deluxe class minibots.
03:25I'm still behind.
03:26I need to get Power Glide.
03:27I need to get Swerve, but still, these are really cool.
03:31Anyways, moving on, we've got Point Blank, and the reason why I say that in quotations is because they renamed
03:37it into Blanker.
03:39Which is kind of weird, because when they did it for the Legacy line, it was initially going to be
03:43Blanker, because they didn't have the rights to the name.
03:45But then, they had the rights to the name Autobot Point Blank.
03:49Now, they switched back to Blanker for some reason.
03:52It seems kind of weird.
03:53Anyways, it is a repaint of the Point Blank figure that we got in Legacy that I mentioned, except there
04:01is one change.
04:03Now, I know some people are upset with that, because Point Blank wasn't really a great figure, but they did
04:08make up for it by giving it a new deco or new paint application.
04:13So, it does not have the Autobot logo on the hood, but what it does have is the flames on
04:18the side of the back, which is very subtle, but I really like that.
04:22And then, also, it's got a solid canopy this time, instead of a transparent canopy.
04:28And I like that a lot.
04:29Now, this one has a lot of transparent plastic.
04:33You can see that nearly the whole chest is that clear plastic.
04:37But this one, for the windows, the silver is on the front and then the sides, which indicates that the
04:43top will give you a little bit more blue, or a little bit more of that solid blue for the
04:48robot mode.
04:49You can see that the Peacemaker figure will also attach to the back.
04:53That's something from the original toy.
04:55And then there's the robot mode.
04:56Another cool thing about this is it seems like we're getting more into the Target Masters.
05:01So, the Target Master himself seems to be very similar to the original one.
05:06I'm kind of hoping that it has some new deco, because I would love to put that with the crosshairs.
05:10Hopefully, at some point, they do remake crosshairs, because we got the sure shot, so why not?
05:15But yeah, you can see that solid chest with the blue.
05:18That's what it was talked about.
05:20And then you can also see that the lower arms have changed.
05:22Not the mold, which they should have, because that mold is not that good.
05:26But what they decided to do was give it this almost cartoonish, it's like a gray or a faded blue
05:32color.
05:33And I actually really like how that turned out.
05:35It does make some of the elements look a little too bright, but I think because the original was light
05:41blue,
05:41blue, I think it's best just to break it up with that shade.
05:45And then also, he's got a brand new head sculpt, because if you look at the original one, it's more
05:51straightforward.
05:52It's almost like the Megatron bucket head.
05:54But for this one, it's almost like it's got more of an Optimus Prime style helmet.
05:59You can definitely see that with the ears.
06:01So, I like that they tried to change it up.
06:03It's just weird that now they went back to Blanker.
06:06Anyways, next up we've got Fangry.
06:08So, this one I'm not going to talk about too much.
06:10But I am thrilled that they're doing a single pack version of this guy, because I never found that 4
06:15-pack.
06:16So, I'm thrilled to see that I can finally get this guy and put him next to some of the
06:20other guys.
06:21And, you know, it's the typical pink and then black.
06:24You know, it's the same thing that we got from that 4-pack.
06:27Very monstrous. I love the wings.
06:29And then you can see the head disconnects.
06:31That's not really a part of the gimmick.
06:33I'm pretty sure that's just split off, because, you know, sometimes pieces of Transformers are just too big to fit
06:41in the box.
06:41So, you know, to make up for that, this detaches.
06:44It does have the headmaster gimmick, and I love that headmaster look.
06:48I also like the printing on the chest.
06:50I think that looks very nice.
06:52So, yeah.
06:53Fangry.
06:54Pretty cool.
06:55Definitely getting them.
06:56And then we also have Joyride.
06:58So, this one I knew was going to be a repaint of the SureShot.
07:03They did make a couple of changes, but at the very least, you know, I knew that the majority was
07:08going to be SureShot.
07:09And I love these colors.
07:11It feels like I really want to put it next to a beach.
07:15I actually don't mind the shade of the wheels.
07:19It's like a dark, faded blue color scheme, which I say that a lot for a lot of these figures.
07:26But, yeah, it actually kind of fits with the overall figure, because the figure looks so bright that it looks
07:34like all this is just enjoying the sun.
07:37And, yeah, I don't know how else to explain it, but I love the light blue.
07:42I love the red.
07:43I like the white.
07:44It's definitely all over the place, but I kind of like how bright it is.
07:48And then you've also got this giant engine on the top of it, and that's the Powermaster gimmick.
07:54So, instead of making them a targetmaster, what they decided to do was opt out the accessory, the weapon, or
08:02the gun, that would flip down.
08:04And they replaced that with this engine detail.
08:08So, that's meant to reference the original Powermaster.
08:11And I kind of like that, but what I will say is I think they messed it up.
08:16And I'll talk about that when we take a look at the robot mode.
08:20So, some of the changes they decided to do.
08:24On the original figure, you could just leave the spoilers on the arms, which you could still do that here.
08:29You know, there's no issue with that.
08:30But what they decided to do was you could take those off and plug them onto the knees.
08:35Well, technically on the side of the legs, but still.
08:39So, that kind of explains exactly why the spoiler pieces were removable on the original figure.
08:46So, I do kind of like that.
08:48I'm more accepting of that idea.
08:49The head sculpt looks really cool.
08:51I love the gold.
08:52I like the visor for the eyes.
08:54I love the printing on the chest.
08:57You could see that next to the canopy.
08:59I like the printing on the shoulders and then the arms.
09:02And not only is the head new and the engine is new, but if you look at the Powermaster, you
09:11could see that the body is new.
09:14The only thing that's retained from SureShot's little guy is the legs.
09:19And I think that's the problem.
09:21Because if they remolded the legs, they could have just had that fold over in two pieces because he does
09:28not now have a weapon of his own.
09:30Obviously, he can hold the engine piece, but he does not carry his own blaster, which is something from the
09:37original toy.
09:37So, what?
09:38He's just going to stand around holding his own engine?
09:40That just seems a little weird to me.
09:43So, I'm a little disappointed that they didn't decide, okay, let's go ahead and just give it two pieces for
09:50the Target Master or Powermaster.
09:52And then use that extra budget to just create a small blaster piece.
09:58But, you know, we've got third party.
10:00We've got upgrade kits.
10:02So, I'm sure someone's already thinking, okay, we'll give him a blaster.
10:04Maybe someone will just give an extra blaster from another figure.
10:08But, yeah, it is kind of weird.
10:10But, still, regardless, I really do like the SureShot figure, so I'm excited for Joyride.
10:16Anyways, next up I wanted to show off was Swindle.
10:19So, the pre-orders are coming soon for this.
10:21I believe it said that June 9th they're going to be opening some of the reveals and pre-orders.
10:26So, the only thing I really wanted to talk about was you could see that giant cannon on the shoulder
10:32that's going to transform into the Bruticus cannon.
10:35And it's got some yellow on the back.
10:38That's pretty much all I wanted to point out.
10:40I wish that was black, but, yeah.
10:42Anyways, moving on, we've got Vector Prime.
10:44So, I do have the original Vector Prime in the traditional cartoon colors.
10:48But, now, what they decided to do for the 13 Primes was, when they're bringing that back, because they already
10:56have the mold for Vector Prime, they're going to repaint it in the Galaxy colors.
11:01So, this was a repaint from the original Cybertron line that came out at the tail end of the Cybertron
11:09series.
11:09I know there's also another one that's, like, more black that came out for the Universe line, but this is
11:15to reference that Galaxy toy.
11:17You can definitely see that with the Cybertron game.
11:19I love how that's printed with the transparent orange behind it.
11:22I think the sword looks a little bit better here with the black and the orange.
11:26And, I also like the wings, because on the original toy, there was this kind of glittery, transparent blue plastic.
11:32What they decided to do here was outline that in black.
11:36I don't even think the original toy had that.
11:38So, I do like the brown.
11:39I like the black color scheme.
11:41It's very different.
11:42And, I like that they're not afraid to go that extra route to give us a Cybertron reference figure from
11:48something that didn't necessarily need to come out.
11:52But, at least we got more Generations Cybertron toys.
11:55So, I definitely want this thing.
11:57My problem, though, is that they didn't really seem to remold it.
12:01We had a rumor saying that, yeah, they're going to remold some of the stuff.
12:06But, I'm not seeing anything.
12:07If there's any remolding done to it, it's not apparent.
12:11Or, maybe it has something to do with some of the joints, because the original figure was very loose.
12:17This one seems to have the same shins, which is very disappointing.
12:20I wish they were different, because you can see the attachment for the wings, because this is a remold of
12:25the G-axis.
12:27There's nothing new for the chest, which I didn't really expect.
12:31I couldn't find anything new with the arms, even the wings.
12:34I couldn't find anything to suggest that this was remolded, not the head.
12:40It doesn't have a different face.
12:42No, it just seems to be the same thing.
12:45Now, I do like the Cybertron sword combination.
12:48You know, that's fine.
12:48I like that you could plug the Cyber Key on his back, or into his chest.
12:52And, I love the blue core.
12:54I love the blue face, because I actually have that original deco from the original Cybertron toy.
13:02I actually have that figure.
13:03So, it'd be great to compare these two.
13:05And, I have basically every Cybertron-referenced Generations figure that has come out since the Siege Galaxy upgrade Optimus Prime.
13:15So, I definitely want this thing.
13:17It's just disappointing exactly how they're doing it.
13:21Anyways, next up, I also wanted to show off, was the Unicron Soldier, or they're calling it the Herald of
13:27Unicron.
13:27Because, now we have an idea of the weapon configuration.
13:31So, you've got two of those turrets on the back, which apparently he's supposed to come with two.
13:34You can see that the blade and the cannon are supposed to plug side by side.
13:38Although, I did kind of like how it was centered on the original design.
13:42Also, you can see how the spikes are going to be configured.
13:45You can see the spikes on the shoulders there, or behind the shoulders.
13:49And, then, there's another configuration.
13:51So, you could still do the original one, but you can see the horns on the legs.
13:54You can see that the blasters will be able to combine with that main piece.
13:58You could also see that they decided to give him a cannon arm, and then the sword goes into the
14:03hand.
14:04So, I do like this option for Unicron a little bit more, just because it feels a little more different.
14:10Anyways, next up, this is one that I'm super thrilled about.
14:13Because, this is a reference to the official Transformers Collector's convention.
14:18And, this original toy was a repaint of Megatron, from the Armada line, obviously.
14:25And, it came out in 2004 in the Universe line.
14:28It was obviously an exclusive.
14:30And, I think the pitch was, it was supposed to be for a Generation 3 of the Transformers line.
14:36So, he was supposed to be called the Chaos Megatron.
14:39But, they decided to opt out and call it Mega Zarek.
14:43To, I guess, reference the original Zarek figure that would come from Scorponok.
14:47So, I do have the Armada Megatron right here.
14:51I don't have the Galvatron.
14:53But, I'm so glad to hear that they decided to opt out from reissuing that Megatron.
14:59Because, that's what they apparently were supposed to do.
15:01And, they're giving us these colors.
15:03Because, I love the black, the red, the cyan, the purple.
15:07I mean, this is early 2000s colors.
15:11And, I just, I love it.
15:13The purple looks fantastic.
15:15Especially, for the head claw thing.
15:17I think that looks really cool.
15:19You can see that for the cannons and then the panels on the side.
15:22Obviously, this does not have the Minicon.
15:25Taking a look at the robot mode.
15:26You get more of that cyan, the red.
15:30And, it just like screams right at you.
15:33I love the red that traces on the side of the horns.
15:35The original Megatron did that as well.
15:37Well, I even like the teal or the cyan for the feet.
15:41I just think that this thing looks really cool.
15:43There's not much to talk about with the mold.
15:45But, I will say.
15:46Is that, apparently, we're supposed to get an Energon redeco for tidal wave.
15:51And, that's going to be a select sphere.
15:52And, I think the idea for that is.
15:54The reason why they're doing that tidal wave.
15:56Is probably so that.
15:58Or, the reason why they're doing the Megazeric.
16:00Is so that it combines with tidal wave.
16:02So, if you're trying to get both again.
16:05You don't have to backtrack years before.
16:08You could probably just.
16:09Maybe this will be on the shelves.
16:11As the same thing.
16:12Or, as the same time as that tidal wave.
16:14I guess we'll have to wait and see.
16:16But, yeah.
16:17I'm thrilled that they're not just doing Megatron again.
16:20So, with that out of the way.
