00:00Senator from Kentucky.
00:01What we've got here is a failure to understand what's going on.
00:06We've been at it for 18 hours.
00:09There is no weaponization fund in this bill.
00:12Let me repeat, there is no weaponization fund in this bill.
00:17Ironically, the author of this amendment is the one creating a weaponization fund
00:23and directing it to pay his chosen group of people.
00:27This amendment is nothing more than a poison bill that would prevent us from doing what
00:33is at hand and that is securing our border, enforcing our immigration laws.
00:39Democrats and some others refuse to vote for one dollar for the border.
00:45Republicans have stepped up to do the job Democrats refuse to do.
00:49We cannot let them hijack this bill at the last moment with an unrelated issue.
00:57Mr. President.
00:58Senator from Louisiana.
00:59Mr. President, this is your main to the bill.
01:02It's in the judiciary section.
01:03And by the way, it does not detract from our ability.
01:06And there is a fund out there that could be funded to use as an anti weaponization fund.
01:14We should make the same ability, the same access to redress to the officers who protected us.
01:20I urge passage.
01:23Senator from Kentucky.
01:25This amendment would kill the bill.
01:27The budgetary effects of the pending amendment are merely incidental to the non-budgetary components
01:32of the amendment.
01:33Therefore, I raise a point of order under section 313B1D of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974.
01:41Mr. President.
01:42Mr. President,
