00:00But how about this, New York Yankee fans?
00:02Aaron, Judge, oh, man, the guy's cut out of granite,
00:05but apparently granite can be injured as well.
00:08Diagnosed with a stress fracture on the right, what is it,
00:11the right first rib on his right side.
00:14Some of the right sides in the show today, Joe, the Yankees announced.
00:17Six weeks.
00:18No, Joe, no.
00:22Six weeks just to get reevaluated, Donnie,
00:24which means it could be another six weeks after that.
00:27I mean, this is not good here.
00:30I mean, at best, you're hoping you get him back
00:32for maybe a postseason run by September, Donnie,
00:36because, you know, this is another one of those injuries,
00:39you know this, Donnie, where nothing helps but rest.
00:42You just, that's it.
00:44The only thing that is going to get this to go away
00:46is not doing what you should be doing this time of year,
00:49which is swinging a bat, but that ain't going to get better.
00:52It's like a hamstring.
00:53Only works if you don't use it.
00:55So this is going to be a rough one here for the Yankees.
00:59Like, it's a worst-case scenario, too.
01:01Like, Judge is a power hitter.
01:02Does he want to get good workouts in?
01:04Try doing that with a strex fracture in your rib.
01:06And also, we know as well as anybody,
01:07there's a reason why spring training is so long.
01:10Joe, these players, you know as well as I do,
01:12they play baseball, ramping up just to get to the regular season.
01:15Then you stop and, like, don't do anything for a month.
01:18You need the ramp-up period again.
01:20So as Joe points out, six weeks to get evaluated
01:22means, like, hey, then we'll see if you can get back on the diamond
01:26and do what they call baseball activities.
01:28Not a good sign.
01:28It's also here from the manager talking about this injury.
01:33I checked in the middle of the game.
01:34I ran in and asked, and we're waiting on the specialist to weigh in.
01:39So that's where we're at, okay?
01:41So I'm just, you know.
01:43Are you frustrated, Aaron, at this point,
01:45that you don't know what you're dealing with?
01:46No.
01:47Look, it's a lot of smart people, like, and, you know,
01:51a specialized area that, you know, and guys, you know,
01:55several states away.
01:56So, you know, we just got to be patient.
02:00It seemed like Joe, he caught himself about to let loose
02:02on if he was frustrated because a lot of broken sentences,
02:05ums, and ends have been included in that answer.
02:09Yeah.
02:10The answer is, of course, he's frustrated, and he's ticked off.
02:13You know, it'd be one thing, Donnie, if he got hit, like,
02:16with a 98-mile-an-hour fastball in a rib cage or something.
02:19But, like, how does this even happen?
02:22Like, it's such a ridiculous injury,
02:26but it's also one that is so annoying from the standpoint is
02:30he can run, he can throw.
02:32Like, he can do all the things.
02:32The only thing he can't do is, well, you know, is swing a bat now,
02:36which is what they need him to do.
02:37So, I'd be a little ticked off if I was him as well.
02:41Yeah, going to the odds boards on a lot of these places,
02:43Aaron Judge's been removed from the MVP.
02:45And quite honestly, you can't miss six, seven weeks
02:48of a Major League Baseball season and still win the MVP.
02:51Everybody's going to pay us to you, statistics-wise.
02:52It's just the way it is.
02:53It's a bad break, pun intended here.
02:56Now, so we take a look at those San Diego Padres.
02:58They couldn't wait to get out of Philadelphia
03:00because they can't beat the Phillies.
03:01The things were going well for the Padres up to the past two weeks.
03:04And here's Sol and Manly Mitrado talking about how the Padres
03:07can stop things from getting worse.
03:08And he's right.
03:09Quote, Joe, I don't think it can get any worse.
03:11Well, if it can't, then the only other way is up, he says.
03:17It's such a weird season for them, Donnie.
03:20They were winning despite him not being able to hit the ball.
03:25But, you know, then all of a sudden they're not winning.
03:27He's still not hitting the ball like that.
03:30It's a very weird start to the year for the Padres, especially for Machado,
03:35who I don't know what happened to him.
03:37I really don't.
03:38Him or Tatis.
03:40I don't know.
03:41It just looks like one of those seasons.
03:42Hey, the Padres got sold, and now they're selling out the rest of their season at this point.
03:46What's the point of using it?
03:46By the way, the Phillies played the last six games against the Padres.
03:49You know you don't want to face, Joe?
03:51Mason Miller.
03:51Phillies didn't face them because they beat them every single game.
03:53That's the way to keep a closer on the sideline.
03:56The Diamondbacks option, Brandon, fought because they wanted to get stretched out here as a starter.
04:00One of the best last names in Major League Baseball, which I appreciated when everybody's calling him fat.
04:05So, fought.
04:05Oh, well.
04:06He's out.
04:08Yeah, what happened to him?
04:09I mean, well, they won't have burns.
04:11We know that.
04:12I mean, you would think they need as many arms as possible, but apparently not.
04:18But a good win last night against the Dodgers for them.
