00:00The Madden cover came out this week.
00:02We didn't get to it before, as you can see right there.
00:04Caleb Williams was chosen.
00:05It was a weird year as far as picking it, but I have no issue with him.
00:08You see the two covers.
00:09You have the one where he jumped in the air like that to throw.
00:12First of all, we see him do the jump passes.
00:14We want that cover, he said, as a tribute to what a lot of people think is the GOAT,
00:18Michael Jordan.
00:19No issues with that.
00:20Young player, respected athletes that come before him.
00:23So I'm okay with him.
00:24Ethan says he's the GOAT.
00:25He is not the GOAT, but I recognize he's y'all's GOAT.
00:29Also, you see him with his hands across, and he has the nails.
00:32And I do want to get to that, because I have no issue with Caleb Williams as an up-and
00:36-coming
00:36player being on the Madden cover.
00:39Peyton Hillis was on the cover one year.
00:40So, I mean, let's not act like this is like, oh, my God, it's so sacred.
00:45Yes, Caleb may not be the superstar that we think he can be yet, but also he very well
00:50may be the best quarterback in the sport this year, and then they'll look like geniuses.
00:54But either way, Peyton Hillis, let's get over it.
00:56But as you can see, the nails on the one, that has become this big talking point.
01:01And I've noticed, and I talked to the producer, Ethan, today.
01:04I talked to Ryan as well.
01:05And Caleb Williams has become this very, very polarizing figure.
01:11Everybody has these opinions.
01:12And I saw there's this rapper who decides to say a lot of things about named Lil Boosie.
01:17And I'm going to say this.
01:18People stop asking Boosie stuff, okay?
01:20Not that the people here that I work with know who the hell Lil Boosie is, but Lil Boosie's
01:26out of his mind, okay?
01:27Stop asking him things like he's the person, the arbiter of anything.
01:32He knows nothing, Lil Boosie, okay?
01:35He is not the person that decides our society.
01:37Like, hmm, what should we do about this issue?
01:40Let's talk to Lil Boosie.
01:41Are you kidding me?
01:42And now he tries to switch his name because he doesn't want to be Lil Boosie anymore,
01:45even though you didn't grow.
01:46All right, now he's Boosie Badass, right?
01:49You're not badass either.
01:51Like, I know you've been to prison, but that's because you have to use a gun.
01:55You would be bad if you picked up the hands and you can't do that, Boosie.
01:59But anyway, the nails is what everybody's upset about.
02:03Why?
02:04Okay, I know I'm here to give opinions and I will, but why?
02:08Why does this guy seem to get under people's skin by just being himself?
02:14What does Boosie do?
02:16What does Boosie looks at this guy and goes, oh, no.
02:19He's going to have – he basically – and I'll say it, okay?
02:24Yes, I'll say it.
02:25Basically, the thought process is this from people that don't like Caleb Williams' nails
02:30because they've said it out loud, okay?
02:31Now, I don't agree with this opinion because it's stupid, but this is the opinion.
02:36That somehow, because Caleb Williams is a role model because he's on the Madden cover
02:41and he's an NFL quarterback, he paints his nails.
02:45That's then going to make other boys paint their nails.
02:48My response is I don't want to paint my nails, but so what?
02:51But that's not what they're really saying because I followed up on that.
02:54I go, so why does that bother you so much?
02:56Okay, so if you had a son that painted his nails black,
03:00you now have a son that painted his nails black.
03:02And even if that's not your preference, as long as he does well in school
03:05and doesn't get in trouble, why do you care?
03:08They believe somehow, magically, that these nails are going to turn their sons homosexual.
03:15That's what they really believe.
03:17That's what Boosie and all these critics seem to believe.
03:20So let me understand this.
03:22This kid is 12, right?
03:25He, at this point, likes girls, okay?
03:27His anatomy, whatever you believe, he likes women.
03:30He sees Caleb Williams throw a football with painted nails, and suddenly he likes dudes?
03:37I don't think that's how it works.
03:40And I think we need to, we talk about this thing where, oh, we're taking down men,
03:45and these men don't know where to go, and their lives are so hard.
03:48No, they're making their lives hard.
03:50You're picking up a battle that you don't need to fight because it's not a real battle.
03:55Now, Caleb Williams' painting his nails has nothing to do with you
04:00and has nothing to do with anybody's orientation.
04:02They don't change your orientation by the nails.
04:06Just because a woman paints her nails, does that automatically mean that if she takes the nail polish off,
04:13she's now tough?
04:14She was feminine with the nails painted, but if she takes the polish off, now she's a man?
04:20Then we have to stop with this.
04:23Toxic masculinity is a term that is widely overused, okay?
04:29Widely overused.
04:30We know that.
04:31But this is it.
04:32I can't help but think, because he makes you feel uncomfortable because of your toxic masculinity
04:39that you have to move a certain way, that somehow this guy being on the cover of Madden,
04:43can we get the cover one more time, please, those two covers?
04:46How does this offend you so much to now you think, oh, no, it's going to ruin little boys?
04:53Which is literally what some of these people are saying out there.
04:55Little boys are going to see that, and then they're going to want to live like him.
04:59What?
04:59You mean, they don't know.
05:00How does he live based on these covers?
05:02I look at these covers.
05:02I can't see how he lives.
05:04The only thing I can see from these covers is that apparently he's a – if you know nothing,
05:09you go, okay, he plays for the Bears.
05:11I see his road and home jerseys.
05:13I see one, he's jumping to throw a football in the Jordan pose,
05:16and I see the other one, he has his nails on the cover in the other one.
05:22That's all I learned from this.
05:24I don't learn a single thing else from this.
05:26We have to stop.
