00:00I don't think that Russian people really care, most of the Russian people, not all Russian people, but most of
00:05the Russian people don't care.
00:07They didn't want this war. It's always, you know, it was important for me to be there to witness that
00:12it was a mistake to think, oh, Russians support the war.
00:16Potentially 20%, maybe 25% really wanted it. The rest were very much against it, or about 50% were
00:24just saying, you know, leave us alone, we don't want to have anything to do with that.
00:28So they sort of agreed, they didn't agree with the war, they agreed with Putin fighting the war.
00:34I don't know. I mean, the war is, they call it a special military operation.
00:41When you have an operation, it has to be brief. It cannot last for four and a half years.
00:46It cannot really result in, they were just, an economic forum was happening in St. Petersburg, and yesterday, the first
00:53day of the forum,
00:54there were giant attacks by drones, there was, the planes were held, the transportation had problems, the communication had problems,
01:09and everything else.
01:10So this really should not be, after four and a half years, this cannot be the result of that, of
01:18that, of the beginning of that special military operation.
01:21And so people feel more and more, more and more upset by it, and very angry, because now, at the
01:31beginning, the idea was that it's going to be quick,
01:33and then we're going to be victorious, and everybody would respect us, and you will have life the way it
01:38is.
01:38And that now life is not the way it is, and yet people are encouraged to consider more of their
01:45involvement in the war,
01:46which they didn't want to be involved in, in the first place. So I think Putin is not in good
01:50position right now.
01:51It doesn't mean that this position may not change, but for now, he had a great opportunity to end the
01:59war with Donald Trump last year,
02:02from March to August, really being involved in it, giving Putin all the opportunities.
02:07Putin could have been a victor if he didn't want that much as he wants.
02:12He didn't want Donbass. But he did want Donbass, and now he's not in a strong position.
02:17So I'm not sure that if it stays this way, I'm not sure he goes into history as the new
02:24Peter the Great, let's put it this way.
