00:00Look, the Sigourney we know from movies is usually very alpha type, you know, and super intelligent, and super in
00:07command, and all that, and that's not who you are, right?
00:12It's all acting great.
00:15This was a chance to glimpse the real Sig.
00:18It just sounded like such a fun idea.
00:20We killed her off in the first movie, and I love working with Sig, so I had to bring her
00:25back somehow, so she comes back as essentially her own daughter.
00:28Honestly, I think only Jim was crazy enough to do anything like that, but in an odd, strange way, he
00:36sees something that other directors don't in me.
00:39They see what I've done, kind of, and he sees this sort of area that is hidden, you know, and
00:49again, it gives you such freedom, and he's the kind of director who I think can feel the tenderness of
00:57his actors.
00:57It's an invitation for all of us to transform into someone as far away from you as you might imagine,
01:07you know,
01:08and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to be able to go back to my nerdy 14-year-old
01:14self and re-experience life as her because I think I had a kind of fractured experience,
01:22and it's such a different thing to be able to go back to this time and try to flourish.
01:29No, we'll be right back.
01:30Thank you.
01:30Grazie.
