00:00This is an event all about celebrating black women and black women's bodies continue to be policed and we look
00:04at that intersectionally as Dr. Kimberly Crenshaw taught us because we're policed as black people and as women. And so
00:09Planned Parenthood is somebody who stands up there for us. If you need to work with them in terms of
00:13what you can afford and what you can't afford, they'll work with you too. And we just don't have many
00:16services like that in this country that, you know, we don't have universal health care. So we need organizations like
00:21Planned Parenthood that are willing to provide care whether you need access to an abortion, whether you need access to
00:24birth control, whether you need access to condoms or sex ed. They provide it all and they're doing it without
00:28judging you, which I feel like
00:29Black women get enough judgment in our lives, period. So we need somewhere where we can go where we're not
00:34constantly judged, where we're actually just seen as whole people and able to get the care we need.
