00:00What does the Bible say to us about prophetic events, prophetic things?
00:04Listen, prophetic things like salvation, mind you.
00:08The very doctrine of soteriology, that is the doctrine of salvation,
00:12comes out of biblical prophecy.
00:14And then what about heaven itself?
00:16What about you and I being in heaven?
00:18Did you know the hope of heaven that you have is based on Bible prophecy?
00:23You ever think about that?
00:25I think it's safe to say that if 27% to 31% of the Bible
00:30is that which covers biblical prophecy,
00:33imagine, over a quarter of the Bible,
00:36then I think it's safe to say that we're in a good topic
00:40as we look to the reliable truth of God's Word.
00:43Again, you can always scan the notes to get them all down onto your device,
00:47but let's go to the opening title and the opening theme verse for the entire series, you guys.
00:52It's out of John chapter 14, verse 29,
00:55and it is a powerful declaration.
00:58It's one that should not be wasted on any of us.
01:00We need to grab it.
01:03And we need to know this.
01:04Jesus said, and now I have told you.
01:08By the way, do you know why Jesus never said, thus saith the Lord?
01:11All the great prophets of God said, thus saith the Lord.
01:14Do you want to know why Jesus never said that?
01:17Good for you.
01:18He is the Lord.
01:19He says, I.
01:21He is the Lord.
01:23And now I have told you before it comes that when it does come to pass,
01:28you may believe.
01:30That is not only a salvation statement,
01:32it is a Bible prophecy statement,
01:34and it is the fact that Jesus Christ authenticates the very Bible itself
01:38by telling you that what he has spoken will come to pass,
01:43and he's the very governor of all of that.
01:45In other words, Jesus keeps his word,
01:48and he is none other than the very word of God.
01:51And listen, as we get into this,
01:53you remember we started the first point,
01:55and that was regarding the king's first coming.
01:58And as we brush on that or touch on it for just a moment,
02:02I want you guys to be reminded of the umbrella.
02:04Anybody remember the umbrella from last week?
02:06It's so important.
02:07We looked at this.
02:09The first coming.
02:10When you think of Bible prophecy,
02:12you see the coming of the king or the king's coming,
02:15whatever you want to say.
02:16You could say, you know, the advent of the king.
02:22So once you establish who the king is,
02:25that it's King Jesus,
02:26we know from Bible prophecy that there was a first coming.
02:29And the first coming, very specific.
02:32And you studied that last time together.
02:35The first coming is not Bethlehem.
02:37The first coming is the Mount of Olives
02:40when Jesus Christ is on the back of that little donkey
02:43that we know as Palm Sunday,
02:44and he announces himself to the nation
02:47and to the national leadership as the coming king.
02:53Now, many people believed in him,
02:55but the nation did not.
02:56The national leaders,
02:59the government of the theocracy of Israel,
03:02Judaism, those in power,
03:05they rejected him.
03:06But thank God, glory be to God, right?
03:08The first church was Jewish.
03:12And through their preaching of the gospel,
03:15that's how the Gentiles heard the gospel.
03:19And we're excited about that.
03:20That's all regarding the first coming of Christ
03:23as prophesied in Zechariah chapter nine, verse nine.
03:26We saw that before.
03:27And then in the middle, watch this.
03:29In the middle, it's specific.
03:30It's not a coming.
03:32I want you to mark this down if you didn't last time.
03:34It's an appearing.
03:34We've got the first coming of the king.
03:37That's 2,000 years ago, roughly.
03:39We've got the appearing of the king.
03:41We're going to talk about this tonight.
03:43And then thirdly, we've got the second coming.
03:46A lot of people quickly and wrongly think,
03:49oh, the return of Christ is the second coming.
03:52No, I have to ask you, what do you mean by that?
03:55Because the second coming,
03:57some people say, well, you know,
03:58the rapture and the second coming,
03:59it's all the same thing.
04:00It's not the same thing.
04:02The first coming is Christ coming to Israel,
04:06presenting himself as king.
04:08He doesn't do that again until the second coming,
04:11presenting himself as king.
04:13You're going to see that tonight.
04:14And in the middle, he does not present himself as king.
04:19His appearing presents himself as the groom
04:24or Christ, the husband of the bride of Christ, the church.
04:32He appears in the atmosphere.
04:34He receives the church to himself.
04:36He never comes to earth in the middle, in the rapture.
04:40He doesn't touch the earth.
04:41What he does is he comes to the atmosphere.
04:43He calls the church up to himself.
04:45He takes us back to the place where he's been preparing for us.
04:52And at the end of the tribulation period,
04:55again, we'll read it tonight.
04:56I hope we'll get to it.
04:59In Revelation chapter 19, it's the grand chapter
05:02where the church is suddenly found in heaven
05:05and we are behind Jesus
05:08and the doors of heaven open up
05:10and Christ comes out of heaven
05:12and we are with him
05:14and he, we, with him, are returning to earth
05:17and out of his mouth goes a sharp two-edged sword.
05:21Wow.
05:22Isn't this...
05:22Did you guys like Lord of the Rings?
05:25It's very Lord of the Rings-like, don't you think?
05:27He will strike the earth with the word of his mouth
05:31and he will gather together the nations of the world
05:34and judge them there in Jerusalem atop Mount Zion.
05:38The Bible tells us that in his judgment,
05:41the valley of Jehoshaphat
05:42will be filled with blood
05:45of those who are not worthy.
05:50They are anti-God, anti-Christ
05:54at the time of the second coming.
05:56But those who make it through,
05:58those who are faithful,
06:00granted it'd be a remnant,
06:02the Bible tells us that they will live into the kingdom age.
06:06And that's an overview, to say the least.
06:08And so the king's first coming
06:10and now we look,
06:11we dive into the king's one and only appearing.
06:14And so this is what we're looking at
06:16and we touched on it,
06:17you'll be reminded,
06:181 Corinthians chapter 15.
06:20And we want to assemble this,
06:21we're all going to be detectives right now.
06:23No matter what your denominational persuasion is,
06:29and all of us have one,
06:31the first coming,
06:32the second coming,
06:34and this thing that a lot of people
06:36want to argue about called the rapture,
06:40why is it different?
06:42Why does it apply to the church
06:43and not the nation of Israel
06:45or somebody else?
06:47Here's why.
06:48Paul told the Corinthians in chapter 15, verse 15,
06:51Now this I say, brethren,
06:52that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,
06:55nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
06:58Here it comes.
06:59Behold, I tell you a mystery.
07:02We, says Paul,
07:04shall not sleep.
07:06That means,
07:06you guys know what that means?
07:07You remember what that means?
07:08For the believer,
07:09the believer,
07:10regarding the body,
07:12is never announced to be dead.
07:15The body takes on the appearance of sleep.
07:17We shall not all sleep or die,
07:19but we shall be changed
07:20in a moment,
07:21in a twinkly of an eye,
07:23at the last trump.
07:25For the trumpet will sound,
07:27and the dead will be raised incorruptible,
07:29and we shall be changed.
07:31And I gave you the definition of that word,
07:34change down there.
07:35Watch this.
07:36Look.
07:36To take something
07:37and make something different out of the same.
07:41That's a remarkable Greek word
07:43and its meaning.
07:44To take something
07:45and then to take that something
07:47and make something different,
07:49but it's out of the same.
07:50Folks, you know it as this.
07:52Resurrection.
07:54Did you know your body's going to be resurrected?
07:57If the Lord comes back tonight,
07:59then your body's going to be changed
08:01in a moment,
08:01in a twinkling of an eye.
08:04You won't see death.
08:05I don't know about you,
08:06but that's kind of great.
08:07There'll be a generation of believers
08:08that will not see death at that moment.
08:12Sign up.
08:13Man, I hope that's tonight.
08:15Verse 53 goes on and says,
08:17for this corruption,
08:18that is our mortal bodies,
08:21must put on incorruption.
08:22We need to be changed.
08:24And this mortal must put on immortality.
08:27So when this corruptible
08:29has put on incorruption
08:30and this mortal has put on immortality,
08:33then shall be brought to pass
08:34the saying that is written,
08:36death is swallowed up in victory.
08:38Oh, death, where is your sting?
08:40Oh, Hades or hell,
08:42where is your victory?
08:43Isn't that great?
08:44God is mocking.
08:45God's mocking the grave.
08:47Hey, I thought you were so powerful.
08:49I thought you were so,
08:51so cruel.
08:53Well, it is,
08:54but Christ broke the grave.
08:56The sting of death is sin
08:58and the strength of sin is the law,
09:00but thanks be to God
09:01who gives us the victory
09:03through our Lord Jesus Christ
09:05and all God's people said.
09:06Amen to that.
09:08Amen to that.
09:09Absolutely.
09:10And that strength
09:11is the righteousness of Christ,
09:13which is the technical term
09:16is imparted.
09:18Christ, by his work at the cross,
09:20imparts his righteousness
09:22to all who believe.
09:23I know that's hard to fathom
09:25and maybe it's impossible to fathom,
09:27which is why we need faith,
09:28to just believe him.
09:29But according to God's ledger,
09:32according to God's record keeping,
09:35he sees you completely righteous in Christ.
09:38He doesn't see you
09:40with all of your sin issues
09:43and all of your weirdness.
09:45We're all weird.
09:47Just get over it.
09:49We're all weird.
09:52But in Christ Jesus,
09:55you've been born again
09:56and made alive.
09:57The last part of us
09:59to be made alive
10:01will be our bodies.
10:02Your mind is being renewed
10:04by the word of God
10:05and your spirit
10:06has been quickened
10:07or made alive
10:08by the Holy Spirit
10:09the moment you were born again,
10:11the Bible tells us.
10:12And that last part
10:13of that trichotomy,
10:15body, soul, and spirit,
10:17is that the body
10:18will be either transformed
10:20at the resurrection moment
10:21of the rapture
10:22or raised from the dead
10:25and you'll meet the Lord
10:26in the air.
10:28That's what belongs
10:29to the church.
10:29We'll see this more and more.
10:31Galatians 5, verse 5,
10:32tells us,
10:33For we through the Spirit,
10:34that is the Holy Spirit,
10:36eagerly wait.
10:37That is, we can't wait.
10:38I mean, we will wait,
10:39but we're so excited.
10:42We can't wait,
10:43but we will wait
10:44for him to come back.
10:45We eagerly wait.
10:47Listen, that is what
10:48I told you last week
10:49is the doctrine of eminency.
10:52Somebody might say,
10:52the Bible doesn't teach
10:54Jesus could come back
10:55at any moment.
10:56Whoever that is,
10:56they're not reading
10:57their Bibles.
10:58The very term eagerly wait
11:00anticipates.
11:01The word means
11:01to scan the horizon.
11:03If he's not coming back quickly,
11:05then why scan the horizon?
11:07In fact,
11:07if you want a contradiction
11:08in the Bible,
11:09there's one right there.
11:10If Christ is not coming back
11:12in an intimate return
11:14without any warning or notice,
11:16we got a boo-boo here.
11:18We eagerly wait.
11:20We are to anticipate that.
11:22And then I shared this
11:23with you a little bit last time
11:24and just quoting it,
11:25John 14,
11:27Jesus introduces the very action
11:29of what we call the rapture.
11:31The word rapture is Latin
11:32for the Greek word harpazo.
11:35Harpazo is to be caught up,
11:38to be,
11:38technically it's to be
11:39violently caught up,
11:40to be scooped up.
11:43And Jesus gives us
11:44the description.
11:46Now as I read this,
11:47everybody,
11:47are you guys awake?
11:48As I read this,
11:49I want you to remember
11:501 Corinthians 15.
11:51We read it a moment ago.
11:52Jesus said,
11:53let not your heart be troubled.
11:54You believe in God,
11:56believe also in me.
11:57In my Father's house
11:59are many mansions.
12:01If it were not so,
12:03I would have told you
12:04I go to prepare a place for you.
12:07And if I go
12:09and prepare a place for you,
12:10I will come again
12:13and receive you to myself.
12:15That's key.
12:16To receive you to myself.
12:19That what?
12:19Look at it.
12:20That where I am,
12:22there you may be also.
12:24There's no mistaking this.
12:27This is not the first coming.
12:29It is not the second coming.
12:31It is Jesus Christ appearing
12:34and the twinkling of an eye event.
12:36And those who are alive in that moment
12:38will be transformed in that instant.
12:40The dead in Christ will rise first
12:42and we will meet them in the air
12:45with the Lord.
12:47That's what the Bible teaches.
12:49You say,
12:49I've never heard that before.
12:51Again,
12:52you should read your Bible.
12:53But I anticipated your question tonight.
12:561 Thessalonians 4, verse 13.
12:58They're all the same event.
12:591 Thessalonians 4, verse 13.
13:01Paul wrote to the Thessalonians,
13:04But I do not want you to be ignorant
13:05or uninformed, brethren,
13:06concerning those who have fallen asleep,
13:09believers who have died,
13:10lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
13:13For if we believe that Jesus died
13:15and rose again,
13:17even so,
13:18God will bring with him
13:20those who sleep in Jesus,
13:21speaking of the body.
13:22For this we say to you
13:24by the word of the Lord,
13:25that we who are alive and remain
13:28until the coming of the Lord
13:30will by no means precede those
13:32who are asleep
13:33or who died before us.
13:34In other words,
13:35we're not going to go up
13:36before those who died.
13:38Their body's going to be resurrected
13:39and then we're going to follow them up.
13:40Watch this.
13:41For the Lord himself
13:42would descend from heaven
13:43with a shout,
13:45with the voice of the archangel.
13:46And here it comes again.
13:47This is that last trump.
13:50There's only two trumps.
13:52Not two trumps.
13:54There's a lot of trumps.
13:55Two trumpets.
13:56I don't know why I said trump.
13:58There's the first and the second,
14:01first and the last trump.
14:03Don't confuse the trumpets
14:05with the tribulation trumpets.
14:07And with the trumpet of God
14:09and the dead in Christ
14:11will rise first.
14:12Then we who are alive and remain
14:15shall be caught up.
14:16That's the word rapture in Latin
14:18or hapazo in Greek.
14:20Together with them
14:21in the clouds.
14:23Notice, where's the location?
14:25In the clouds.
14:26In the glory.
14:27In the atmosphere.
14:28To meet the Lord in the air
14:30and thus we shall always be
14:32with the Lord.
14:33Therefore, comfort one another
14:35with these words.
14:36Can you say amen to that?
14:37Amen.
14:38The return of Jesus Christ,
14:39if it's tonight,
14:40should excite you to no end.
14:42Now look,
14:43if you're not happy about that
14:44and you claim to know Jesus,
14:45but you're a little nervous about that
14:47because you've been,
14:48I don't know,
14:48hanging out with Rocky
14:49or sleeping with bubbles
14:51and the Holy Spirit is saying to you,
14:53hey, you better knock it off.
14:54I could come back.
14:55You better get right.
14:55You better get ready.
14:58God might be,
14:59listen,
14:59if you're not excited
15:00about Christ's return,
15:01I want to ask you why.
15:03You should be excited.
15:06Young people,
15:06and I get it.
15:07Older people,
15:08they're really excited about it.
15:09We're just too tired
15:10to raise our hand.
15:12Young people,
15:14they're a little bit hesitant
15:14because they're thinking,
15:15I want to see Paris first
15:17or I want to get married
15:20or I want to,
15:22whatever.
15:24Listen,
15:25I promise you,
15:26whatever the world offers you,
15:28no matter how good it is,
15:30it's nothing compared
15:31to five minutes in heaven.
15:33It's going to be amazing.
15:36It's going to be awesome.
15:38One more eager verse,
15:40Philippians chapter three,
15:41verse 20 says,
15:42for our citizenship
15:43is in heaven
15:44from which we,
15:46here it is,
15:46eagerly wait
15:47for the Savior,
15:48the Lord Jesus Christ,
15:50who will transform
15:51our vile
15:53or lowly body
15:54that it may be conformed
15:56to his glorious body.
15:58Oh,
15:59that's nice.
15:59That's beautiful.
16:01And so,
16:02we want to get excited
16:03about that.
16:04We want to be reminded
16:05that holiness,
16:07the motivation
16:07of Christ's return,
16:08holiness is a very
16:10important thing.
16:11The Bible says,
16:11without holiness,
16:12you and I will not see God.
16:14Did you know that?
16:14Now,
16:15I want to encourage
16:15some of you,
16:16when you hear the word holiness,
16:18it depends on where you're from.
16:19If you're from the East Coast,
16:20you think of the Amish.
16:24You think of everybody
16:25having to wear black,
16:27no makeup,
16:28with a bun,
16:30and we all have beards,
16:32you know,
16:32not all,
16:33the guys have beards,
16:34and we make everything
16:36out of wood
16:36and that's the picture
16:38of holiness.
16:39That's not the picture
16:40of holiness.
16:42I mean,
16:42if you want to wear that stuff,
16:43that's fine,
16:44but it doesn't make you holy.
16:47Holiness is a matter
16:48of your heart,
16:49your life,
16:50but it's observable
16:52by how you live.
16:55When you come to faith
16:56in Christ,
16:57you are declared
16:57righteous by God.
16:59That's by faith.
17:01But you and I
17:02do not know that.
17:03When people say
17:04they trust God,
17:06remember we talked
17:07about this last week,
17:07you kind of got to take
17:08their word for it,
17:09but you got to watch them.
17:10You have to watch them
17:11to see if their life
17:12lived out,
17:13backs up what they said.
17:14You know,
17:15I said this last week
17:16and somebody wrote me
17:16a letter,
17:17they weren't happy about it.
17:20I concluded that
17:22they need to change
17:23how they're living.
17:27When somebody says,
17:28if I tell you
17:30that I'm an NFL star,
17:33you might say,
17:34oh, it's nice to meet you.
17:34Oh, can I have your autograph?
17:36And I can scribble
17:36and you might think
17:37it's real
17:39until you go to a game
17:40and see me on the field
17:43and then you'd find,
17:43well, first of all,
17:44I wouldn't even get
17:44on the field
17:45because none of that's true.
17:47You can say anything
17:48you want
17:48until it's tested.
17:51We talked about that.
17:52We should stop
17:53being gullible
17:55that way.
17:56And we need
17:57to be prepared.
17:58We talked about preparedness.
18:00Here's another verse
18:01of great eminency
18:02and urgency.
18:03Titus chapter 2,
18:05verse 13 and 14.
18:06Looking for,
18:07that is scanning the horizon,
18:09for the blessed hope
18:10and the glorious,
18:11what is it?
18:13Appearing of our great God
18:15and Savior,
18:17Jesus Christ,
18:18who gave himself for us
18:21that he might redeem us
18:23from every lawless deed
18:26and purify for himself.
18:28Notice church,
18:29who does the purification?
18:31He does it.
18:32That's why you should
18:33become a Christian tonight
18:34if you're not.
18:36You say,
18:36well, I'm a member
18:37of the Lutheran Church
18:38or Calvary Chapel Church
18:39or the Baptist.
18:40That's your answer?
18:42You should become
18:43a Christian tonight,
18:43a Christ follower tonight
18:44and your defense is
18:46you're a member of something?
18:47That's not the right answer.
18:50Church affiliation
18:51or membership
18:52does not matter to God.
18:53God, one iota.
18:55The question is,
18:56do you know him personally?
18:57Because, listen,
18:58what he does
18:59is he goes to work
19:00and when he works at work,
19:01he begins to purify you and I.
19:04He purifies for himself
19:05his own special people,
19:07zealous for good works.
19:09Zealous.
19:10This church gets
19:11so much stuff done,
19:12I get to watch this people,
19:13I get to watch you
19:14and just doing things
19:16that are just shocking.
19:17Why are you doing
19:18all these things?
19:19And when I talk to you,
19:20you love the Lord.
19:22I'm doing this for Jesus.
19:24Isn't that great news?
19:25Listen,
19:25nobody's doing anything
19:27around you for somebody else.
19:28If you are,
19:29you're doing it
19:30for the wrong reason
19:30and it's not gonna work.
19:33But if united together,
19:34we understand Christ
19:35could come back,
19:37Jesus is Lord and Savior.
19:38Let's be busy
19:39about our Father's business.
19:40Let's get up
19:41with a sense of urgency
19:42and do the right thing
19:44because he's worthy
19:45of that action.
19:46He's worthy
19:47of that vitality.
19:48And that's a great way
19:49to live.
19:50And it's a great church
19:51to be in association with.
19:53If you ever find
19:54this church sleepy
19:56and settling back
19:57on its laurels
19:58and no longer intense
19:59or passionate
20:00about the truth of God
20:02and about affecting
20:02the culture
20:03and preaching the gospel
20:04to the ends of the earth,
20:06let's get out of here.
20:07If I'm too old,
20:09pick me up
20:09and take me with you.
20:11You wanna be
20:12where the Holy Spirit
20:13is moving.
20:15And you'll see God
20:16do tremendous things.
20:19Very powerful,
20:20very beautiful things.
20:22Matthew chapter 24,
20:24verse 44,
20:25the Bible tells us here,
20:26in fact,
20:27it's interesting
20:27because this is a,
20:29it's technical
20:30because Matthew 24
20:31is a chapter
20:34dedicated to the future events
20:36and yet the Bible
20:37has been with us
20:38for nearly 2,000 years
20:39and the Bible's gonna be
20:40with us next week.
20:41So when God wrote
20:43Matthew 24
20:44as other chapters
20:45as well in the context,
20:47it covers both
20:48the future events
20:48but it also applies
20:49to every generation
20:51of believers.
20:52So with that background,
20:54verse 44 says,
20:55therefore,
20:56you also be ready
20:57for the Son of Man
20:59is coming
20:59in an hour
21:00you do not expect.
21:03This is not
21:04the first coming
21:04and it's not
21:05the second coming.
21:06This can only refer
21:08to His sudden appearing.
21:11I wanna give you
21:12this quote
21:14that sums things up.
21:15Jesus is saying,
21:16I am coming back
21:17for those who,
21:18yes,
21:19believe in me
21:19but even more so
21:21those who actually
21:22believe me.
21:24That's important.
21:26Do you believe in Him
21:28or do you believe Him?
21:30I think if you believe Him,
21:32then you'll believe in Him.
21:35But somebody could say
21:36you believe in Him
21:37but may not believe
21:40because He says,
21:41I'm coming back
21:42and you need to be
21:43excited about that.
21:44So when I said
21:46be watching and waiting,
21:48they took it seriously.
21:49This is what Jesus
21:50would be saying
21:51in a modern day
21:53conversation,
21:54I take it.
21:55When I do appear,
21:56they will be the ones
21:57who have been living life
21:59expecting me
22:00to walk through the door
22:01to greet them
22:02at any moment.
22:03And I like that.
22:04I think that's powerful.
22:06powerful.
22:08The third thing is this
22:09and that is the king's
22:11second coming.
22:13And this is important.
22:16Christ's first coming
22:17was to present Himself
22:18as king to Israel.
22:19The people shouted
22:20on the hillside,
22:22save now,
22:23save now,
22:23blessed is He
22:24who comes
22:25in the name of the Lord.
22:26They shouted Hosanna.
22:28They called Him
22:29the Son of David.
22:30Why?
22:30Because He is
22:31the Son of David.
22:32But again,
22:33the national leadership
22:34turned on Him
22:35as was prophesied
22:36in Scripture.
22:37For the last 2,000 years,
22:40the gospel has gone out
22:41to the ends of the earth
22:42and now tonight,
22:43the church is predominantly
22:45Gentile,
22:45not exclusively,
22:46but predominantly Gentile
22:48in its DNA.
22:50So when will the Jews
22:52as a nation led by God
22:54get a chance
22:55to do this again?
22:56In other words,
22:57when will God fulfill
22:58His promised prophecies
23:00of the Old Testament
23:01with the nation of Israel?
23:02And that brings us
23:03to the dynamic
23:04that you and I
23:05are living in today,
23:07replacement theology
23:08and all that's taking place
23:10in the Candace Owens,
23:11Tucker Carlson world.
23:14Wherever they got
23:15their theology from,
23:16they got it from
23:17the wrong people.
23:19It's very tragic
23:20because they have
23:21a lot of listeners
23:23and they're very
23:24charismatic people,
23:25but they know nothing
23:26about biblical theology,
23:28but they were swept up.
23:30And I do believe
23:31that it can be proven
23:32from scripture
23:33that those doctrines,
23:35the Bible warned us
23:36in the last days,
23:37they'll be deceiving spirits
23:38and doctrines of demons.
23:41And that's why today
23:42there are people
23:42following what they're saying
23:44and many like them
23:45and there are those
23:46in pulpits
23:46who are teaching this
23:48that are dangerous.
23:50Oh yeah,
23:50but they're so nice.
23:52Dangerous.
23:54But he's cute,
23:55he's handsome.
23:56I heard someone say
23:57that recently
23:58about a pastor back east.
23:59But look how cute he is.
24:02Look,
24:03I'm a Christian,
24:03I have to maintain
24:04my witness,
24:05but I wanted to take
24:06my Bible
24:07and apply
24:10apply the word of God
24:11to the side
24:12of their mind.
24:14Oh,
24:15you know,
24:15that's kind of like
24:15how people vote
24:16in California,
24:17by the way.
24:20I was on a flight
24:21to Calgary, Canada
24:22and during the
24:23Canadian elections
24:25and it was re-election
24:26and I was sitting
24:27on a Canadian airline
24:28and I was sitting
24:30next to a Canadian.
24:31No big shock.
24:33Canadian airline
24:34heading back to Canada
24:35sitting next to a Canadian.
24:37And I said,
24:39how's your elections going?
24:40Oh,
24:40I voted.
24:41I said,
24:42well,
24:42how's it going?
24:42Oh,
24:43I don't,
24:43I don't care
24:44because,
24:45this is what she said,
24:46she said,
24:47I voted
24:50for Trudeau
24:53because,
24:54I'm not kidding,
24:56she said it right here,
24:57because he's so cute.
25:00I know,
25:01we gasp,
25:02but then,
25:03what did California do
25:04but vote for a guy
25:05with incredible hair
25:06who sounds like Batman
25:07when he talks,
25:09right?
25:12But,
25:13listen,
25:14humans,
25:14we're weird that way.
25:16Didn't Israel,
25:16when they had the chance,
25:17they ditched God
25:18and took Saul
25:19because he was taller
25:20than everybody else
25:21and really handsome?
25:23Man,
25:23we can all relate to that.
25:24We live near Hollywood.
25:26That's like,
25:26that's the way to vote.
25:28Tall,
25:29dark,
25:29and handsome.
25:30There's the qualifications.
25:32God says,
25:32no.
25:34No,
25:34I look on the inside
25:35of the heart
25:37and that is a,
25:38that is a very,
25:39very powerful thing
25:40to know
25:41and to realize.
25:42Listen,
25:42Christ is coming back
25:44to the nation of Israel
25:46as prophesied
25:47in the second coming.
25:48Not the rapture.
25:50He doesn't come to earth.
25:52He appears in the atmosphere.
25:54But the seven-year tribulation period
25:57and the return of Christ
25:58must happen
25:59to the nation of Israel.
26:01He must return to Jerusalem.
26:03He must establish
26:04his throne on Zion
26:05or
26:06we've got the wrong Jesus tonight.
26:08That's how critical that is.
26:11God either keeps his word
26:12or he doesn't.
26:14And we'll see some of this tonight.
26:15And this is just enough
26:16to get you excited,
26:17I would hope anyway,
26:19about studying more.
26:20And so in John chapter 2,
26:22verse 13,
26:23you guys okay still?
26:24John 2, 13.
26:25Now the Passover of the Jews
26:26was at hand
26:27and Jesus went up to Jerusalem
26:28and he found in the temple
26:30those who sold oxen
26:31and sheep and doves
26:32and the money changers
26:33doing business.
26:34And when he had made
26:35a whip of cords,
26:37he drove them
26:37all out of the temple
26:39with the sheep and the oxen
26:40and poured out
26:42the changers' money
26:43and overturned the tables.
26:44And he said to those
26:46who sold doves,
26:47watch this,
26:48take these things away.
26:50Do not make my father's house
26:52a house of merchandise.
26:54Now if they knew their Bibles,
26:56they would have known.
26:56He's quoting the Old Testament.
26:59That should have sent fear
27:01up their spine.
27:02Then his disciples remembered
27:04that it was written,
27:05the zeal of your house
27:07has eaten me up.
27:09Absolutely stunning.
27:11Jesus quotes the Bible.
27:12He acts out the Bible.
27:13Why?
27:14Because at his first coming
27:15he's fulfilling Bible prophecy.
27:17And the same will be true
27:18for the nation of Israel,
27:20for Jerusalem
27:21in the great second coming.
27:23Malachi chapter 3, verse 1.
27:25Malachi 3, 1.
27:26Behold, I send my messenger
27:28and he will prepare
27:30the way before you
27:31and the Lord whom you seek
27:34will suddenly come
27:36to his temple,
27:37even the messenger
27:38of the covenant
27:39in whom you delight.
27:40Behold, he is coming,
27:41says the Lord of hosts.
27:44First coming,
27:46second coming,
27:48both to the nation
27:49of Israel.
27:52We made mention
27:53of this last time.
27:54How important is this?
27:56Watch the technical authorship
27:59of God's holy, perfect word.
28:01Isaiah 61, verse 1.
28:06Isaiah, 743 years
28:07before Jesus was born.
28:10So this is nearly
28:113,000 year old prophecy.
28:13The spirit of the Lord God
28:14is upon me
28:15because the Lord
28:17has anointed me
28:17to preach good tidings
28:19to the poor.
28:19He has sent me
28:21to heal the brokenhearted,
28:22to proclaim liberty
28:23to the captives
28:24and the opening
28:25of the prison
28:25to those who are bound,
28:26to proclaim
28:27the acceptable year
28:28of the Lord.
28:29And I have this in brackets.
28:30You might remember
28:31this last week.
28:32There's a comma there
28:33in our English Bible.
28:36Jesus,
28:37when he was handed
28:38the scroll of Isaiah,
28:40when he commenced
28:41his earthly ministry
28:422,000 years ago
28:43in that synagogue
28:44in the Galilee,
28:46Jesus read that
28:48and this was the,
28:49listen,
28:50this is amazing.
28:51The day that Jesus
28:52was called upon
28:53to read
28:53on that Shabbat,
28:56that was not an accident.
28:59A male is given
29:01in a synagogue
29:02the reading
29:03and he,
29:04depending upon
29:05the size of the community
29:06or the synagogue,
29:08that male may not
29:09be called upon again
29:10to read again.
29:11Depends.
29:12Or,
29:13if he's gonna read,
29:14he's gonna read
29:14whatever the specific
29:16verse is
29:17or chapter
29:17for that day
29:19in every synagogue
29:20around the world.
29:21Hmm.
29:22It just so happens
29:24that on the day
29:25that Jesus
29:26is to read
29:27from his native
29:28town,
29:29synagogue,
29:30it happens to be
29:31the very passage
29:33of scripture
29:33that is speaking
29:34about himself.
29:37And he stops
29:38at a comma.
29:39He was supposed
29:40to keep reading.
29:41He didn't.
29:42He wound up
29:44stopping
29:44in his reading
29:45and the gospels
29:47tell us
29:48with that
29:50to proclaim
29:51the acceptable
29:52year of the Lord.
29:53By the way,
29:54I'm actually glad
29:54he paused
29:55and handed
29:55that scroll back
29:57because what if
29:58he would have
29:58kept reading?
30:00And the day
30:00of vengeance
30:01of our God.
30:02Do you see
30:03that comma
30:04that's in the
30:05brackets there?
30:07That's where
30:07you and I
30:08have been living.
30:08That's where
30:082,000 years
30:09have been sitting
30:10right there
30:10in that white box.
30:13Jesus hands it back.
30:14Everybody,
30:15all their eyes
30:15are fixed upon him.
30:16And Jesus says,
30:17Today is this scripture
30:20fulfilled in your ears.
30:24And then
30:25they got it.
30:27Wow.
30:29A comma,
30:31a pause.
30:32Ezekiel chapter 20
30:34verse 40.
30:36For on my
30:37holy mountain,
30:39on the mountain
30:39height of Israel,
30:41in case you have
30:42any doubts,
30:44says the Lord God,
30:46there all the
30:46house of Israel,
30:47all of them
30:48in the land,
30:49shall serve me.
30:50There I will
30:51accept them
30:52and there
30:54I will require
30:55your offerings
30:55and the first fruits
30:56of your sacrifices
30:57together with
30:59all your holy things.
31:00I will accept you
31:01as a sweet aroma
31:03when I bring you
31:04out from the peoples.
31:06Another word
31:06for nations.
31:07And gather you
31:08out of the countries
31:09where you have
31:10been scattered.
31:11Church,
31:12listen,
31:12who scattered them
31:13to the ends
31:14of the earth?
31:14Why is he saying this?
31:16Who scattered them?
31:18God did.
31:20Ezekiel's prophesying.
31:21Jesus said,
31:22because you didn't
31:23accept the day
31:24of your visitation,
31:25you'll be scattered
31:26now.
31:27You'll be driven
31:28from this place
31:29and you won't
31:30see me again
31:30until you say,
31:31blessed is he
31:31who comes
31:32in the name
31:32of the Lord.
31:34Ezekiel is
31:35prophesying
31:35that very thing.
31:37Wow.
31:38It's the Lord
31:39who drove them out
31:40because they rejected him.
31:42But he didn't
31:42drive them out
31:43to drop them off.
31:45He drove them out
31:46because he had a plan.
31:48And in all of that plan,
31:50you're part of it.
31:51You,
31:52being a believer tonight,
31:53are part of the body
31:54of Christ.
31:56This remarkable thing.
31:57By the way,
31:58this is another
31:59fine little side note.
32:00The Old Testament
32:01tells us that
32:02Jehovah God
32:02is married
32:03to Israel.
32:04Did you know that?
32:05That's why he tells her
32:07to be faithful to me.
32:08We're married.
32:10Listen,
32:11he tells his prophets,
32:12I'm gonna,
32:13listen,
32:13I'm gonna write her
32:14a letter of divorcement.
32:15She doesn't shape up.
32:17He's warning.
32:18He says,
32:19Israel,
32:19I'm married to her.
32:20Come back to me.
32:23Who's Jesus married to?
32:26No,
32:27he's not.
32:28He's not married yet
32:29to us.
32:31We're engaged to him.
32:33I know you're excited,
32:34but you shouldn't
32:35be that excited.
32:37No,
32:37I get it.
32:38That's a beautiful mistake.
32:40We're engaged to him.
32:42He's gonna come
32:43pick us up.
32:45He's gonna take us
32:46to where he's been.
32:48And what he's been,
32:49what has he been preparing?
32:51A place for us.
32:53Why is that important?
32:54You know what you should do?
32:55Tonight,
32:56stay up,
32:56put a pot of coffee on
32:57after service
32:58and go to Amazon Prime
33:01and watch
33:04the movie I just forgot.
33:06Before the Wrath.
33:08Before the Wrath.
33:09Why?
33:10Everything Jesus
33:10is talking about
33:12is about
33:13a Galilean wedding.
33:17The groom-to-be
33:18gets engaged
33:18to the young girl.
33:19Then he leaves
33:20and works for the father
33:22and prepares the place.
33:23And the son,
33:25the boy,
33:25keeps working on the place,
33:27working on the place.
33:28She is being taken care of
33:30by her ladies-in-waiting.
33:31And only then,
33:33known to the father only,
33:34the father says to the son,
33:36hey,
33:36this looks awesome.
33:37That's good enough.
33:38You're done.
33:39Go get her.
33:40And then the son
33:41gets to go get her.
33:43And when he comes
33:44and gets her,
33:44it's with a big entourage
33:46and she doesn't know
33:47when he's coming.
33:49Only the father knows.
33:51Is that fun?
33:53And the announcement is made.
33:55Could be any time,
33:56day or night.
33:58And she runs out
33:59to meet him.
34:00And he takes her home
34:03to the home
34:04that he's built
34:04in the father's house.
34:07Or technically,
34:08on top of the father's house.
34:09I thought you really said,
34:11I thought,
34:12yeah,
34:12that's it.
34:13Forget it.
34:14It doesn't feel the same.
34:18And so he says,
34:20I've been scattered
34:21and I will be hollowed
34:22in you
34:23before the Gentiles.
34:25God is not done
34:25with the nation of Israel.
34:27That is for sure.
34:28We're talking about
34:28the second coming.
34:29Ezekiel chapter 8,
34:30verse 3.
34:31Thus says the Lord.
34:34Ezekiel,
34:35sorry,
34:35my bad.
34:36Zechariah chapter 8.
34:38Zechariah chapter 8.
34:39Thus says the Lord,
34:41I will return to where?
34:43Oh my goodness.
34:45And dwell
34:46in the midst of Jerusalem.
34:48Jerusalem shall be called
34:49the city of truth,
34:51the mountain
34:52of the Lord of hosts,
34:53the holy mountain.
34:55That's what God says
34:56about Jerusalem,
34:57about Israel
34:58and about Zion.
34:59Tucker
35:00and Candace.
35:02He's not done
35:03with them.
35:04He's not done
35:05with them.
35:05No matter what.
35:07No matter what.
35:11I'm going to go
35:12quick.
35:12Now,
35:12so far we've gone slowly.
35:14We're going to go quick now.
35:16Matthew chapter 24.
35:18Matthew chapter 24.
35:20Hang on.
35:22Matthew chapter 24.
35:23Mark it in your notes.
35:25This is in relation
35:26to the Olivet Discourse.
35:27This is Jesus telling
35:29the disciples
35:29about the context
35:32about the last days
35:33at the end
35:34of time
35:36before Christ returns.
35:37As we know time.
35:38This is just before
35:40the second coming.
35:43And he's telling them.
35:44He's giving them insights.
35:46Prophetic insights.
35:49Therefore,
35:51if they say to you,
35:52that's during the tribulation period,
35:55look,
35:56he's in the desert.
35:58But the Messiah
35:59is in the desert.
36:02Do not go out.
36:04Or look,
36:05he's in the inner rooms.
36:07Do not believe it.
36:09For as the lightning
36:10comes from the east
36:11and flashes to the west,
36:13so also will the coming
36:14of the Son of Man
36:16be.
36:17Stop right there.
36:21Is lightning,
36:22can you hide lightning?
36:27Lightning's a big deal.
36:29It illuminates the sky
36:31and even if you miss it,
36:33you're going to get
36:33the thunder.
36:36Lightning's a big deal.
36:38Jesus says,
36:39in Matthew 24,
36:41when I come back,
36:44it's going to be
36:44like lightning
36:45coming out of the east
36:47to the west.
36:50Isaiah tells us
36:51that when Christ
36:52comes back
36:52in the second coming,
36:53read chapters 61 forward,
36:56that he will come
36:57back to earth
36:59and he will come
37:00from Basra
37:02and go to Jerusalem
37:04in his return.
37:05Did you hear
37:05what I just said?
37:09Which direction
37:10do you think
37:11Basra is from Jerusalem?
37:12Is it east
37:13or is it west?
37:15It's east.
37:16And the Bible
37:17tells us
37:18that when he returns,
37:19he will come
37:19from the east,
37:20Jesus said,
37:21heading west
37:22to Jerusalem.
37:23And the Bible
37:24tells us
37:25that east of Jerusalem
37:26is a place
37:27called Basra.
37:28In fact,
37:29people are going
37:29to say to him,
37:30where did you get
37:32your robes
37:32all splattered
37:33in blood?
37:35And Jesus
37:36will say,
37:37the blood
37:38on my robes,
37:39this came
37:40from me
37:40trading out
37:41the fierceness
37:42of the wrath
37:42of almighty God
37:43and there was
37:44no one with me
37:45to help me
37:46and I did this
37:47in my righteous
37:48anger.
37:49That is his wrath
37:50of the second coming.
37:52Wow!
37:52See,
37:53I haven't read
37:53that part of Jesus.
37:55I like
37:56the New Testament
37:57Jesus.
38:00That's the
38:00revelation Jesus.
38:03Yeah,
38:03but don't worry.
38:04If I hurry up,
38:05this is going
38:06to end well.
38:07Verse 28.
38:09Watch it.
38:10For wherever
38:11the carcass is,
38:14there the eagles
38:15will be gathered
38:16together.
38:18Isn't that a weird
38:18statement?
38:19Don't you think
38:20that's weird?
38:21Here's your homework
38:22tonight.
38:23This is mentioned
38:24in two other gospels,
38:25three gospels total.
38:29Find out what
38:30he's talking about.
38:30Look up the word
38:31carcass.
38:32And by the way,
38:33the English translators
38:35use the word eagles.
38:36You're not going
38:37to find the word
38:38eagle in the
38:39Greek scripture
38:41here.
38:42The word is
38:43griffin.
38:44I don't know if you
38:45know what a griffin
38:46is, but it's an
38:47unclean,
38:48flesh-eating bird.
38:49It eats
38:50carrion.
38:51It eats dead
38:52stuff.
38:54So that's why,
38:55listen,
38:55they got the
38:55carcass right.
38:57If you go and
38:58study on your own,
38:59this is a challenge
39:00to you.
39:01Go do this.
39:02It's going to be
39:03important to you in a
39:04second.
39:04Wherever the carcass is,
39:07wherever the dead
39:08body's rotting,
39:10there the vultures
39:11will be.
39:13What's he saying?
39:14What?
39:16Why did he say that?
39:19Immediately,
39:19now he's going to do
39:20some explaining for us,
39:21immediately after the
39:23tribulation of those
39:23days.
39:24Church, how long is
39:25the tribulation?
39:26Seven years.
39:27The sun will be
39:29darkened and the moon
39:30will not give its
39:30light.
39:31The stars will fall
39:33from heaven and the
39:34powers of the heavens
39:35will be shaken.
39:36Then the sign of the
39:37Son of Man will appear
39:39in heaven and then all
39:41the tribes of the earth
39:42will mourn.
39:43And when they see the
39:45Son of Man coming on
39:46the clouds of heaven
39:46with power and great
39:48glory, this is the
39:50second coming.
39:51It's also called the
39:52great and terrible day
39:53of God.
39:54And when, and he will
39:57send his angels with
39:59a great sound of a
40:00trumpet.
40:01This has nothing to do
40:02with the rapture,
40:03don't worry about it.
40:03Watch this.
40:04And they will gather
40:06together his elect from
40:07the four winds or the
40:09four corners of the
40:10earth from one end of
40:11heaven to the other.
40:13Now learn this parable
40:15from the fig tree.
40:16When its branches has
40:17already become tender
40:18and puts forth its
40:20leaves, you know that
40:21summer is near.
40:21So you also, when you
40:23see all these things,
40:24know that it is near
40:25at the doors.
40:28Church family, watch
40:29this.
40:29We got a strange
40:30declaration of a
40:32carcass and vultures.
40:34And then you've got
40:35the gathering of those
40:39from the four corners
40:40of the winds or the
40:41four corners of the
40:42earth that's called
40:43God's elect.
40:44Old Testament saints
40:46are called God's
40:47elect.
40:47The church age believers
40:49are called God's
40:50elect.
40:50And the tribulation
40:52saints are called
40:52God's elect.
40:54Don't get caught up
40:54in that.
40:55Get caught up in the
40:56context of it all.
40:58We're talking about
40:59this end time event
41:01and it has something
41:02to do with carcass and
41:03vultures and his great
41:06and glorious return.
41:09Luke chapter 17.
41:11Watch this.
41:14Even so will it be in
41:16the day when the son
41:17of man is revealed.
41:18In that day, he who
41:20is on the housetop, how
41:21many of you live on the
41:22top of your house?
41:25And his goods are in
41:27the house, let him not
41:28come down to take them
41:29away.
41:29And likewise, in other
41:30words, it's urgent, you
41:31better get going.
41:32And likewise, the one
41:33who is in the field, let
41:35him not return back.
41:36Remember Lot's wife.
41:38That's interesting.
41:40Who should remember
41:41Lot's wife?
41:44Yes, we should.
41:46Who else should?
41:49Israel.
41:53Whoever seeks to save
41:54his life will lose it
41:55and whoever loses his
41:56life will preserve it.
41:57Let's keep going on
41:58this.
41:58I tell you, here it
42:00comes.
42:00This is the biggest
42:02stumbling block for
42:03people.
42:04Are you ready for it?
42:05I tell you, in that
42:07night, there will be two
42:08men in one bed.
42:09Oh, is that about
42:10homosexuality?
42:12No.
42:14He's trying to make a
42:14point here about
42:15something, and I think
42:16you'll see it.
42:17The one will be taken
42:19and the other one
42:20left.
42:22Two women will be
42:23grinding together.
42:25One will be taken, the
42:26other one will be left.
42:28Two men will be in the
42:29field.
42:30The one will be taken
42:32and the other left.
42:34Everybody listen.
42:35Don't be quick to
42:36answer.
42:36Listen.
42:37And they answered, the
42:39disciples, read it
42:40later, the disciples
42:41answered and said to
42:43Jesus, what's the
42:45question?
42:46Say it again.
42:47Where?
42:48Where what?
42:50What are they asking?
42:52Where, Lord?
42:52Where?
42:53Where?
42:53Where what?
42:56Yes.
42:57Where are they taken?
43:00Nobody asks the
43:01question, where do they
43:04stay?
43:05If you're, oh, where
43:06do you, where do they
43:06stay?
43:07They, they asked, where?
43:08Where are they taken?
43:11There's no other way to
43:12interpret this.
43:15And he said to them,
43:16wherever the body is, go
43:19look that word up.
43:19Guess what the word is?
43:21It's carcass.
43:24That word is rotting,
43:26decaying, stinking,
43:29flesh.
43:30You say, why are you
43:31making such a big deal
43:32of this?
43:33Because people who
43:34believe in a post
43:34tribulation rapture say
43:36that this is the
43:36rapture.
43:37And the church is being
43:39called a rotting,
43:41stinking, dead corpse.
43:43Why?
43:43Since when?
43:44I thought we were a
43:45bright, beautiful bride.
43:47But it gets, listen, it
43:48gets better.
43:52So, wherever the body
43:54is, there the eagles,
43:56unclean bird, vulture,
43:57griffin, will be
43:58gathered together.
44:01But Jack, that sounds
44:01like the rapture.
44:03One taken, the other
44:03one left.
44:04There's even a movie
44:05called that.
44:06One taken, the other
44:06one left.
44:09Listen, class, when
44:11does this happen?
44:12When is Matthew 24 or
44:14Luke 17 happening?
44:15When Christ comes back
44:16and he's going to, when
44:17is that?
44:18At the end of what?
44:19At the end of the, what?
44:22Tribulation.
44:23Jesus' Bible tells us,
44:24Matthew 25, he's going
44:25to separate the sheep
44:26from the goats when he
44:27sits on his throne.
44:28And judges the nations.
44:33Some, in Matthew 25,
44:34it says, are taken to
44:36judgment.
44:37In fact, Jesus, in
44:38Matthew 25, calls for
44:39the birds of the air to
44:40come and eat their
44:41flesh.
44:42And those who are alive
44:43enter into the joy of
44:45the Lord into the
44:46kingdom age.
44:48Not you.
44:49You'll be the bride of
44:50Christ.
44:51This is tribulation,
44:53believers.
44:54Are you hearing this?
44:55I know it's technical,
44:57but this, I'm telling
44:57you, this is really
44:58help you.
44:59When people say, oh, that
45:01was the rapture.
45:02Well, then why are we
45:02called a dead corpse, and
45:04why is Jesus called a
45:06vulture?
45:07Well, it's because he's
45:08not.
45:09Neither are you called
45:10that.
45:11Those taken away are
45:12taken to judgment.
45:13They don't live into the
45:14millennial kingdom.
45:16Those who make it
45:17through go into the
45:18millennial kingdom, and
45:19they start, they have
45:20babies, they're living
45:22life, they're farming.
45:23The Bible says Christ is
45:25on his throne in
45:25Jerusalem, rules and
45:26reigns for a thousand
45:27years.
45:28What's that all about?
45:29The second coming.
45:30The second coming is all
45:32about him establishing
45:33his government.
45:34We just voted last
45:35night.
45:37Who knows how it's going
45:38to end?
45:38Well, let me tell you
45:39something.
45:40You can vote tonight
45:41regarding Jesus, and you
45:43can know exactly how it's
45:44going to end.
45:44You can say yes to Christ
45:46tonight knowing this.
45:47Your king is coming back,
45:48and he's going to set up
45:49his kingdom, and he's
45:51going to judge the nations
45:52of the earth.
45:53And the Bible tells us,
45:54in fact, we have to
45:56end.
45:56But let's end this way.
45:57Let's stand.
45:58Let's stand and let's
45:59read this together, because
46:01you need to know this.
46:02You need to feel it.
46:05I wish we could put on
46:06like a simulator glasses
46:08or something.
46:13When Christ comes for the
46:14church in the rapture,
46:15the church believers will
46:17go up.
46:19But first, the dead in
46:20Christ will rise, and we
46:21will meet them in the air
46:22and be with the Lord, and
46:24go to that place that
46:24he's prepared for us.
46:27When the seven years on
46:28earth is completed of
46:30judgment and of wrath and
46:31of horrific plagues and
46:33punishment for a Christ
46:35rejecting world, the second
46:37coming will happen, and
46:39then the Son of Man will be
46:40revealed.
46:41You just saw that a
46:41moment ago.
46:43And he will judge the
46:45nations.
46:45He will separate them.
46:47That's why the two, one
46:49take and one left, and the
46:50disciples, thank God for
46:52their question, where?
46:54Translation, Lord, where
46:56are these bodies?
46:58Where are these that are
46:58taken away to judgment?
47:00Where are they going?
47:01And Jesus answered them and
47:02said, wherever the vultures
47:03are at, that's where they're
47:04going.
47:05Make sense?
47:06I hope so.
47:08Let's read this, because
47:09this is you and I at the
47:12end of all that we've been
47:13talking about tonight.
47:14This is the end of the
47:16tribulation period.
47:18This is the second coming.
47:21After these things I heard a
47:22loud voice in a great
47:23multitude in heaven saying,
47:25Alleluia, salvation and
47:26glory and honor and power
47:27belong to the Lord our God,
47:29for true and righteous are
47:30his judgments, because he
47:31has judged the great harlot who
47:33corrupted the earth with her
47:34fornication.
47:35That's spiritual fornication,
47:38spiritual harlotry.
47:40You can read Revelation 17.
47:42And he has avenged on her the
47:44blood of his servants shed by
47:47her.
47:48Again they said, Alleluia, her
47:49smoke rises up forever and
47:51ever.
47:52And the 24 elders and the four
47:54living creatures fell down and
47:55worshiped God who sat on the
47:57throne and saying, Amen,
47:59Alleluia.
48:00Then a voice came from the
48:02throne saying, Praise our God,
48:05all you his servants and those
48:07who fear him, both small and
48:09great.
48:10And I heard, as it were, the
48:11voice of a great multitude as
48:14the sound of many waters and as
48:17the sound of mighty thundering
48:18saying, Alleluia, for the Lord
48:20God omnipotent reigns.
48:22Let us be glad and rejoice and
48:24give him glory for the marriage of
48:26the Lamb has come and his wife
48:29has made herself ready.
48:31Now remember, this is all taking
48:32place in heaven, guys.
48:33All the camera scenes and the
48:36props and angles are in heaven.
48:39And to her it was granted to be
48:41arrayed in fine linen, clean and
48:44bright.
48:45That's not a robe.
48:46It's a gown.
48:49For the fine linen is the
48:51righteous acts of the saints.
48:53Then he said to me, Right,
48:55blessed are those who are called to
48:57the marriage supper of the Lamb.
48:58And he said to me, These are the
49:00true sayings of God.
49:02And I fell down at his feet to
49:04worship him.
49:04But he said to me, See to it that
49:07you do not do that.
49:08I am your fellow servant and of
49:10your brethren who have the
49:12testimony of Jesus.
49:13Worship God.
49:14For the testimony of Jesus is the
49:18spirit of prophecy.
49:20Now I saw heaven opened.
49:21Okay, put your GoPro on with this
49:23guy.
49:24Seriously, think about this.
49:26You're in this group.
49:27Watch this.
49:28Now I saw heaven opened, John
49:29says.
49:30John's our man.
49:31He's representing us.
49:33And behold, a white horse.
49:35And he who sat on him, so it's a
49:38boy horse, was called faithful and
49:43true, and in righteousness he judges
49:46and makes war.
49:47His eyes were like a flame of fire,
49:49and on his head were many crowns.
49:53And he had a name written that no one
49:55knew except himself.
49:57He was clothed with a robe dipped in
50:00blood, and his name is called the
50:02word of God, and the armies in
50:05heaven clothed in fine linen.
50:07Okay, this is awesome.
50:08We went from the bride of Christ
50:10clothed in fine linen to being an
50:12army.
50:14Every guy.
50:15We were, all the guys in the room
50:17were getting a little bit concerned
50:18about us wearing girls clothes in
50:19heaven, until this part.
50:21This part's like, all right, all right.
50:26And the armies in heaven, clothed in
50:29fine linen, white and clean, followed
50:31him on white horses.
50:33Now out of his mouth goes a sharp
50:35sword that with it he should strike the
50:37nations, and he himself will rule them
50:39with a rod of iron.
50:40That's called the millennium.
50:41That's his government.
50:42For a thousand years he's going to
50:44rule.
50:44He himself treads the winepress of the
50:46fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God,
50:48and he has on his robe and on his thigh
50:51a name written, King of kings and Lord
50:53of lords.
50:54Then, yes.
50:57Then I saw an angel standing in the sun,
51:00and he cried with a loud voice, saying
51:03to all the birds that fly in the midst
51:05of heaven, listen now, come and gather
51:08together for the supper of the great God,
51:10that you may eat the flesh of kings, the
51:12flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men,
51:15and the flesh of horses, and of those who
51:16sit on them, and the flesh of all
51:18peoples, free and slave, both small and
51:20great, church, Matthew and Luke, the
51:25rotting flesh, and the flesh-eating
51:28birds.
51:28And I saw the beast, verse 19, and the
51:31kings of the earth and their armies
51:32gathered together to make war against
51:34him who sat on the horse and against
51:36his army.
51:37Then the beast was captured.
51:39That's awesome.
51:40The beast, the antichrist, the whole
51:42crew is going to get swept up.
51:45And with him the false prophet who
51:47worked signs in his presence, by which
51:49he deceived those who received the mark
51:51of the beast and those who worshipped
51:53his image.
51:54These were two cast, these two were
51:57cast alive into the lake of fire,
51:59burning with brimstone.
52:01And the rest were killed with the sword.
52:03Who's got the sword?
52:06Does that freak some of you out?
52:11Think about, like, you know, the Newport
52:13Beach Jesus.
52:14This freaks people out.
52:16I like Jesus the shepherd, but are you
52:20talking about Jesus like Jesus the
52:22warrior?
52:24Jesus the king of kings and lord of
52:26lords.
52:26So, listen, the sword which proceeded
52:29from the mouth of him, that's his word,
52:32who sat on the horse.
52:34And all the birds were filled with their
52:37flesh.
52:39Capisce?
52:40Yes?
52:41Amazing.
52:43Amazing.
52:44So, you may not understand a word I said
52:46tonight, but you did get more Bible prophecy
52:49than a four-year grad school student at
52:52some seminary, I'll tell you that.
52:54I know we flew over this fast.
52:55It's up to you to read this on your own,
52:57but I'm telling you, we study the first
53:02coming, we study the second coming, but
53:05we make sure we're ready for his
53:08appearing.
53:08And I'm going to ask you to bow your
53:10head right now and pray, and if today,
53:12if tonight, you've never accepted Jesus
53:14Christ as Lord and Savior, you need to do
53:16that now.
53:17I'm just going to ask you in a moment to
53:19raise your hand.
53:19I'll be looking around.
53:21Nobody else needs to look around.
53:22It's a private moment.
53:23But if you understand this gospel you're
53:26about to hear, then respond accordingly.
53:31Do you believe tonight that this same
53:34Jesus that came and is coming again is
53:38the Christ that died on the cross for
53:41your sins and rose again from the dead
53:43because you can't save yourself?
53:45You can't die for yourself.
53:48You can't pay the price.
53:50To be honest with you, in and of yourself,
53:52you're not worth it.
53:54You don't possess the value to pay for
53:59your own sins.
54:00You need someone greater to pay that
54:02debt.
54:04If you have a mortgage, you know that
54:06feeling.
54:06You need someone bigger than you to pay
54:08that debt.
54:10Christ steps in and paid the price.
54:14It's called the cross.
54:17He died there and suffered for you and I
54:20so that the price would be paid.
54:25But you must receive the gift.
54:28Do you believe tonight that you have
54:30sinned against Almighty God and do you
54:32believe that if you were to die tonight
54:34without him, that it's hell without him?
54:38That if you were to die tonight, you're
54:41not sure that you'd go to heaven.
54:44But you can, listen, you can die tonight
54:48and enter eternity.
54:51If you believe that he died for you and
54:53rose again from the grave, if you believe
54:56in him as Lord and Savior, while heads
54:58are bowed and eyes are closed, Christians,
55:00please be praying for those around you.
55:03Tonight, as I look, Jesus called those
55:06publicly, and this is public enough.
55:07If tonight you're saying, I want to give
55:09my life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
55:12I want to live for him.
55:14I'm done with this world.
55:15I want a new life and I want to live for him.
55:18If that's you tonight, nobody's looking around.
55:21Raise your hand real high and I'll see your
55:23hand if that's you.
55:24Oh my, please raise it high.
55:27God bless you and you and you and you and you and you,
55:31you, you, you, you, you, you, you, and you, and you,
55:36and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you,
55:40and you, and you, and you.
55:44Hand high on the aisle.
55:46Wait a minute.
55:48Keep your heads down.
55:49Guy in the black shirt, T-shirt on the aisle.
55:51Was your hand up or down?
55:53Okay, thank you, sir.
55:54You, and you, and you, and you, and you,
55:58and you on the aisle on the back,
56:00you on the way back,
56:02and you, and you.
56:07Let's pray this prayer together, all of us.
56:10Heavenly Father,
56:12we come to you tonight
56:15in Jesus' name.
56:18We're asking you,
56:20wash away my sins.
56:22Because I believe
56:25Jesus came
56:27and died for me.
56:29I'm lost without him.
56:32But I put my faith
56:35in Christ alone.
56:37I trust in no one else
56:40and nothing else.
56:42And thank you, Lord,
56:45for being resurrected
56:48from the dead
56:49that guarantees
56:52my eternal life.
56:55I proclaim
56:56Jesus Christ
56:58as my Lord and Savior.
57:01In Jesus' name,
57:04amen.
57:05Wow.
57:06Wow, wow.
57:08That's awesome.
57:09God bless you.
