00:00It's also the WNBA going on today.
00:02They got a doubleheader, a 7.30 start, and also a 10 o'clock start.
00:05Let's focus first on the 7.30 start.
00:07The Tempo taking on the Liberty here, Joe.
00:09First year for the Tempo, hanging around, looking at the standings.
00:12If it ended today, they'd be a playoff team at 5-4.
00:15The Liberty looking to do much more damage and just make the playoffs
00:18and win a championship, but also sitting at 5-4.
00:21But you look at that spread, you wouldn't know it, Joe.
00:249.5s and 10.5s out here in the betting landscape,
00:27and a total of 172.5 WNBA action tonight, Joe.
00:32Give me a spread line for Tempo Liberty.
00:34Yeah, well, listen, Toronto Tempo's done a pretty good job, right?
00:37I mean, 5-4 on the season.
00:39It was a slow start for the Liberty, but, boy,
00:42have they figured it out in a big way here.
00:45And, yeah, listen, I think this is going to be a pretty good litmus test
00:49for both these teams.
00:50The Liberty, have you truly figured it out?
00:53Are we back on track here at home?
00:55And Toronto, listen, it doesn't get any better than the New York Liberty
01:00to see on the road, can you handle your business?
01:03I think it's a fascinating matchup.
01:05The market doesn't seem to think so, Donnie, with this price.
01:08But I tend to think that, listen, the Tempo want to play with Tempo.
01:12They want to score a whole lot.
01:15I don't know that that's the best way to beat the Liberty,
01:18but something tells me this might be the most entertaining game of the night.
01:22We're going to get a ton of points in this game.
01:24Somebody's got to break a losing streak coming up tonight.
01:2710 o'clock, game number two of the WNBA doubleheader tonight.
01:31The Mercury taking on the Storm.
01:33Joe, I'm looking at the standings right now.
01:34The Mercury, 2-8.
01:35They've lost six in a row.
01:37The Storm, 3-7.
01:38Losers of three in a row.
01:40But you take a look at the road team here, the Phoenix Mercury.
01:42Overnight, Joe, we're seeing 4.5s and 5.5s as a favor towards the Mercury.
01:46Now you see that graphic.
01:47And across the board, 6.5s are now starting to pop up in a total of 161.5.
01:52Who ends that losing streak tonight?
01:54And better off, Joe, who actually gets the cover tonight with the spread line?
01:59It's kind of crazy, right?
02:00I mean, it feels like just yesterday, the Phoenix Mercury had just opened the season
02:04and destroyed the Las Vegas Aces 99-66.
02:09The problem is the Vegas Aces were also the one who swept them in the WNBA finals last season.
02:15But it has not been good since.
02:17And you mentioned it.
02:18This is a rough losing streak here.
02:20This is not good.
02:22But if there was a team on the schedule, Donnie, that is also going through it here, it's the
02:28Seattle Storm.
02:29So if Phoenix Mercury are going to turn this thing around, this is a great opportunity.
02:34But the problem is both these teams are falling knives.
02:37And we say, don't catch a falling knife, Donnie.
02:39Hey, I'm not catching a falling knife on the side, but I'm willing to bet we don't get
02:43a ton of defense in this game here tonight either.
02:46Tempo in the Liberty in the WNBA tonight.
02:487.30 start at the Liberty.
02:50Tempo in town.
02:51Trying to keep a decent season on the line going in a season that, hey, they've been around
02:56too long.
02:57It's their first year.
02:5879% though is the chance that New York, the Liberty, win this game.
03:02The yes contract is 80%.
03:04If you feel that they can win by 10 points, we're talking about the Liberty, Joe, $100
03:08investment pays back $193 on a Liberty victory in cover.
03:13Yeah, I mean, listen, there are only two and three on this homestand, the Liberty are.
03:19And they've got a couple of more games going here.
03:22But they have Brianna Stewart.
03:24They have John 12 Jones.
03:25They have more than enough, Donnie, to be able to handle business against a very young
03:30and upcoming Toronto Tempo team.
03:32It's a good litmus test for both.
03:34But I think the market is telling you there's levels to this right now.
03:38And I think the Toronto Tempo are about to figure that out here tonight.
03:43It's this price for a reason, Donnie.
03:46And I think the Liberty are starting to put it together here.
03:49I wouldn't bet against them at home.
03:51Mercury and the Storm tonight.
03:53Two teams look at the break losing streaks as we brought up on the early line.
03:57The favorite tonight is Phoenix, a 68% chance to win their game tonight.
04:00But if you feel Seattle could snap their losing streak and they're the dog, you get a nice
04:05investment here, Joe.
04:05$100 investment on the Seattle Storm would pay back $313.
04:10How about that?
04:12Yeah.
04:13Both these teams, Donnie, I mean, the Mercury started off the season in great shape, right?
04:20Beating the Aces there, which they didn't fare well against last year in the finals.
04:24But they have an opportunity to right the ship here because the Seattle Storm, who have lost
04:29three in a row, are not exactly, you know, tearing it up here in the WNBA.
04:35I think the Phoenix Mercury, who are a little bit younger this season, this go around, I like
04:42them to figure it out.
04:43I also, Donnie, think, forget defense.
04:45Neither of these teams are winning because neither plays any defense.
04:49I think we're getting points and over for me here tonight.
