01:27They called the strikes retaliation for, quote,
01:30hostile actions in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz,
01:33and claimed the missiles hit their predicted targets.

01:41U.S. Central Command says American and Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted both incoming ballistic missiles.
01:48No American fatalities.
01:50No major structural damage to the base.
01:52Some troops and contractors reportedly suffered minor injuries from falling debris, but that was it.
01:58Kuwait condemned the attack in the strongest terms.
02:02Their military confirmed they shot down hostile missiles and drones over their own territory,
02:08a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with U.S.-Iran tensions.
