00:02Blake Lively is dragging Justin Baldoni back to court weeks after they settled their explosive legal battle.
00:08Judge Lewis Lyman ordered the It Ends With Us co-stars back to a Manhattan court on Monday, June 1st
00:14to address damages related to Baldoni's dismissed $400 million defamation lawsuit against the actress.
00:21According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the legal filing shows Lively is requesting that Baldoni cover her legal
00:27fees from the defamation case.
00:29She's also seeking triple damages and punitive damages, although the exact amount is unclear.
00:36Lively has argued she's entitled to those costs under a California law designed to protect sexual abuse accusers from retaliatory
00:43lawsuits.
00:44Baldoni's legal team has pushed back and claimed the law should not apply because the alleged incidents took place in
00:49New Jersey.
00:50The two were set to battle it out in court on May 18th before they reached a surprise settlement agreement
00:56on May 4th,
00:57just minutes before Lively walked the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala.
01:02In a blow to Lively's case, a judge had tossed out 10 out of 13 of her allegations from her
01:082024 lawsuit, including sexual harassment.
01:11In January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit against his co-star, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others.
01:19However, the suit was tossed out by a judge in June of that year.
01:23Then last month, Lively and Baldoni suddenly quietly settled, and both claimed victory.
01:29Page Six learned that neither saw a penny in the agreed-upon deal, although they spent a combined $60 million
01:34on legal fees.
01:36Now their 18th month-long legal war drags on, further entangling the former on-screen couple,
01:42who were spotted in February arriving in court in strangely matching olive green outfits.
