00:06temporarily freezing the Trump administration's $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund,
00:13according to ABC News. The DOJ has not committed to eliminating it permanently.
00:19The Eastern District of Virginia judge barred payments while considering legal arguments
00:23in a lawsuit against the fund. President Trump told ABC News on Monday that he will respect
00:29the court's ruling, saying the administration is subject to the courts. Both Senate Majority
00:34Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called on the White House to drop the
00:39fund permanently and provide assurances it would not be revived. The fund was established to
00:44compensate those who allege wrongful targeting under the Biden administration, created after
00:49Trump dropped a $10 billion IRS lawsuit and two civil claims totaling $230 million.
