00:00Stop me if you've heard this one before. Talks between the United States and Iran to end the
00:05month-long war fell apart on Monday. And then a few hours later, they unfell apart. If you have
00:11completely lost track of what is going on, you are not alone. Luckily, one person who has not
00:16lost track is The Post's Washington reporter, Caitlin Dornbos. She filled me in on everything
00:22that went down on Monday and where we are at now. So Iran yesterday actually threatened to withdraw
00:28from U.S. negotiations to end the war with the U.S. over Israel's targeted strikes on Beirut.
00:36Israel had threatened to strike Beirut to try to take out Hezbollah terrorists that were firing on
00:42Israel. And the president picked up the phone and called both Lebanon and Israel and achieved some
00:50sort of a ceasefire between the two of them. The agreement says that Hezbollah will stop firing on
00:56Israel. And in return, Israel will stop firing on Hezbollah. Now, where things stand is really
01:01unclear right now. And it appears for the minute that we are back to negotiating again with Iran.
01:10The president says that those negotiations are going very rapidly. Who knows? Obviously,
01:16we've seen how this has been taking place over weeks and weeks and weeks. So it's just a constantly
01:23developing situation that is difficult to really put a bookend on at this point.
