01:01Things happen sometimes in the match, you know, take a little turn downhill for me in the third set, but
01:09all the credits to her, she picked up a great level.
01:11I think it was really, really high level throughout the match, you know, in a way, I didn't have a
01:20good start at the beginning.
01:21But then I think we played good rallies, good, yeah, good level.
01:27I mean, in a way, she maybe played more aggressive towards the third set.
01:35And, yeah, that's, I think, the only difference was and served better on 3-3-2.
01:45So, yeah.
01:47Congratulations on a nice tournament, Alina.
01:50Her, Marta's game seems to have become so much more confident in the past few years, especially when she's front
01:57running.
01:57I'm wondering if you saw that today and just kind of you mentioned that aggression and how she's maybe evolved
02:03over the years and what you've seen from her from that perspective.
02:06Yeah, I think, I mean, obviously in a couple of weeks that she won Madrid and really had a flawless,
02:17you know, kind of this period of time with so many wins.
02:22And, yeah, I think she's playing a really, really high level and, yeah, deserves all these wins, deserves all the
02:32titles that are in the round at the beginning and then winning Madrid.
02:37And, yeah, this great streak, of course, you know, that it's normal that you get a lot of confidence and
02:46play very free, you know, in a way.
02:49So, yeah, it's, yeah, it's great what she does.
02:55Hi, Alina.
02:56Marta spoke afterwards about Ukraine and what it means to the people there.
03:01I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on that.
03:04Obviously, a huge moment for Ukrainian tennis.
03:07Yeah, I think it's amazing to be fair.
03:10So many great players and, of course, you know, us playing in Kwaris here and I hope many more.
03:19opportunities that we can get to play and hopefully, you know, maybe one time I get a revenge as well.
03:27But, yeah, I mean, right now I feel like, you know, it's nice to have somebody who is also, you
03:35know, you know, we are very close in the ranking.
03:40And, yeah, I feel for Ukraine, it's a big inspiration for the next generation.
03:46I think this is great for sports in general in Ukraine.
03:54That's amazing.
03:56Lina, you've had such a good season pretty much since the beginning of the season, so consistent.
04:00I'm wondering what's your level of satisfaction and pride with that versus how much you still want even more?
04:06Like, what's your sort of level of, yeah, satisfaction at this point?
04:11Well, I spoke a little bit on that before the beginning of Rangaros that, you know, I have, I think,
04:25less years in front of me than behind.
04:31And I feel like I give my everything, every tournament right now, also like having the perspective that, you know,
04:41I'm a mom now and, you know, I need to take really all the opportunities that I get.
04:50And, yeah, I feel that, yeah, I just give 100% every single match and if sometimes it doesn't go
04:58my way, okay, it's fine.
05:00Of course, I'm upset, you know, in a way, which is normal, I think, a human thing, but I will
05:05try better next time.
05:08Elena, tough one today.
05:10Obviously, last night was a terrible night in Ukraine.
05:13Did that, I mean, were you awake as that was going on or did you go to sleep early ahead
05:20of the match?
05:21And I'm just curious, like, when, I mean, unfortunately, there have been so many terrible nights, but last night, are
05:29you asleep when that was going on?
05:31Did you find out about all the killing and all the damage this morning when you woke up?
05:36Just sort of how did you experience all of that?
05:38Yeah, I went to bed quite early because I had to be here quite early to warm up and, yeah,
05:45I found out only in the morning.
05:47Yeah, I have a couple of friends that, yeah, that told me about it, who are there.
05:52And, of course, it's very sad and very heavy, you know, but, you know, yeah, there are people that died
06:03last night.
06:05And, yeah, just very sad that we all have to, you know, to really put up with this heaviness and
06:21pain every single day.
06:23And, you know, scary moments, not knowing, you know, what's going to bring the next day for our family, for
06:32our friends and for Ukraine in general.
06:34You know, the massive attacks, of course, they are heavy for everybody in Ukraine and for all the Ukrainians.
06:43So, yeah.
06:45Just to follow up on that, are you going to be at the match to support Martha for the semifinal?
06:53Will you be in the crowd?
06:55Sorry?
06:56Will you be in the crowd to support?
06:57In the crowd to support?
06:59No, I have to get back to my daughter.
07:02I mean, I haven't seen her in the past few months because of playing well.
07:09It's, yeah, I have to go back to my daughter because after I have to prepare for grass court.
07:16But I will be watching the match and definitely cheering for her, hopefully, that she can get a title.
07:22I think it's going to be massive for Ukraine.
07:30Lina, you spoke about the challenges of being a mother and the time that you spent away from your daughter.
07:37while you were coming back.
07:38Can you detail some of that and, you know, what has been the hardest part of coming back as a
07:45mother?
07:45And also, in that context, if you can, you know, understand what Serena is doing and, you know,
07:51coming back after such a long time away from the sport.
07:56I think for me, the challenges were to get the mindset back.
08:00When you are training, when you are training, it's one thing.
08:06When you're feeling good, it's one thing.
08:07But then when you're match ready, it's different kind of pressure.
08:10It's different kind of, you know, just mindset that you go into the matches, the pressure situations.
08:19This was the most challenging for me.
08:22But then with, you know, winning in Strasbourg at that time and, you know, picking up a good level here
08:29really gave me, you know, put me back on the track.
08:33And, yeah, Serena, it's a very unique situation.
08:37You know, she can, she is like Roger, you know, maybe not play for a year or something
08:44and then just go and, yeah, play, unbelievable.
08:48I think it's just a different, different level of a go-to, you know.
08:56So I'm really excited, actually, for her comeback.
08:59And I think it's a great story and very inspiring for all the moms around the world as well.
09:05So, yeah, it's cool.
