03:19It's that I don't know how to celebrate, really.
03:23I never know what to do, really.
03:25So, I don't know about other players, but for me, it was a kind of disbelief.
03:33I'm still kind of down on earth, so I don't expect me to win every single match that I play,
03:40or even when I'm feeling great on court, it doesn't mean that I have to automatically win.
03:44Some matches are just unlucky, and this one could have been one of them.
03:49So, you always have to cherish these moments when you actually win the match.

03:56Yeah, hi, Linda.
03:57You're the youngest first-time major semi-finalist here since Petra Kvitova in 2010.
04:01Just wondering how much of an inspiration she was for you and all your fellow Czech players,
04:05and have you got to know her at all as a player?
04:08Yeah, we had two matches against each other, actually.
04:12In both of those, I was just kind of stunned that I was on the same court with Petra Kvitova.
04:19So, I, as a kid, I was always looking up at her, to her.
04:24She was kind of like, when I didn't really know much about tennis, she was the face of Czech tennis.
04:32So, when she won two Wimbledons, it was, yeah, I was definitely the one that noticed that.
04:42And maybe she helped me to get into tennis a little bit, but, you know, for me, she's such a,
04:49such a person to, you know, look up to.
04:52How do you feel to be emulating her now, following her in her footsteps? Yeah.
04:56I would love to follow her in her footsteps. And if the outcome is going to be the same, I
05:03would love nothing more.

05:11Where do you draw the biggest inspiration when you look back maybe as a child as well?
05:15I would say the history, that the players before us have always been great.
05:21I mean, the Czech tennis female players have always been incredible.
05:26If you look at 10 years back, 20, 30, there's always just been someone.
05:31So, and we kind of still keep on going and keep on having great juniors and, you know, youngsters coming
05:39up.
05:40So, it's great to see that the country is not stopping at tennis.
05:45But I feel like for me, it has always been the fact that us as such a small country,
05:51we can definitely do big things in the world if we look up to the people that did it.
05:57Last question, Simon.
05:59When did you first play on a grass court and what were your first feelings of it?
06:06I played on grass court, I feel like it was 2023.
06:12I had a first hit, I remember it, with Barbara Strycova.
06:17She was coming back and I think it was Nottingham and we had a first hit and I was so
06:25lost.
06:26I was so lost.
06:27She was, you know, she had all of these great results on grass.
06:32So, it was tough to kind of match her rhythm, but she's also someone that I looked up to
06:40and it was fun to, you know, play with such an experienced player.
