A massive fire, which swept through a densely populated residential area in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Monday (June 1) night, has left three residents injured and forced hundreds of families to leave their homes.

00:12The Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency said it received the first report of the blaze
00:17at about 8.55 p.m. and immediately deployed firefighters to the scene.
00:22After several hours of firefighting operations,
00:25the fire was brought under control at around 11.30 p.m.
00:30Response and cooling-down efforts continued until 4.15 a.m. on Tuesday.
00:35The blaze affected 330 households,
00:38forcing about 620 residents to evacuate their homes.
00:42Three residents sustained injuries in the incident.
00:45Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
