00:00All right, everybody.
00:01Good afternoon, everybody.
00:03Good afternoon.
00:06Thank you, thank you.
00:08It is clearly now the will of the Parliamentary Conservative Party
00:13that there should be a...
00:15of that party and therefore a new Prime Minister.
00:19And I've agreed with Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of our backbench MPs,
00:23that the process of choosing that new leader should begin now.
00:27And the timetable will be announced next week.
00:30And I've today appointed a cabinet to serve, as I will, until a new leader is in place.
00:36So I want to say to the millions of people who voted for us in 2019,
00:42many of them voting Conservative for the first time.
00:45Thank you for that incredible mandate.
00:48In the last few days, I've tried to persuade my colleagues
00:50that it would be eccentric to change governments when we're delivering so much
00:55and when we have such a vast mandate.
00:57and when we're actually only a handful of points behind in the polls,
01:01even in mid-term, after quite a few months of pretty relentless sledging,
01:05and when the economic scene is so difficult domestically and internationally.
01:12And I regret not to have been successful in those arguments.
01:16And, of course, it's painful not to be able to see through so many ideas and projects.
01:21we'll talk about that process,
01:21and then we'll talk about how long we look inside.
01:22And, of course, we look inside the stands and posição of the top 32 minutes.
01:22So I wish to say a truth for the impact of our business that we haven't spoken in these Copets.
