00:00This is the perfect budget solution to chicken parm.
00:02Oh, PS, no frying required.
00:04Start with the ground chicken and season it.
00:06Salt and pepper, garlic powder.
00:09Truthfully here, the cheaper the parm, the better.
00:11You kinda want it dry so it holds things together.
00:13Then you just mix this,
00:14and we're gonna form it into four kind of large meatballs.
00:17And then I'm gonna pop these in the freezer
00:19for just about 10 minutes.
00:20I'm gonna get you a parchment-lined baking sheet
00:22and spray it with some oil.
00:24And then you're gonna take your chicken,
00:26roll it in the flour,
00:27and then give it a press into the patty shape.
00:29And then place it down on your pan.
00:31So I'm going to take one egg and beat it.
00:33And we're just gonna brush the egg on
00:35because these patties can be a little delicate.
00:37And then press the breadcrumbs on,
00:39and then you're gonna flip it and do the other side.
00:41All right, once they're all lightly coated,
00:42spray them with more olive oil spray.
00:45And that's it.
00:45Now these go into the oven at 425 degrees
00:47until they're browned and crispy.
00:49After eight to 10 minutes, flip the chicken,
00:51give it another spray of olive oil,
00:53and go back into the oven for another five minutes or so.
00:55Chicken is done.
00:56I just pop on the broiler for the last minute.
00:59I like to just put the mozzarella on
01:01and then top it with the sauce later
01:03because we worked so hard to get it crunchy,
01:05and you know that sauce makes it soggy.
01:06And then back into the oven for just maybe a minute.
01:09Mm-hmm.
01:10Doesn't it look impressive for like
01:12a $5 or $6 pack of chicken?
01:13Wait till you see the inside.
01:15Doesn't look like ground chicken.
01:17Mm.
01:18There's a lot of flavor in that crust.
01:20And I mean, it just works.
01:21This is a great little money-saving hack.
