00:00This is Logitech's latest keyboard, the G512X. It looks a bit like a certain famous EVA unit,
00:07and more importantly, I just think it's kind of neat. I'm told it pays homage to the manufacturer's
00:12Swiss roots, and with its efficiency and holes, I can't decide if ol' Logi means Swiss army knife
00:18or, well, Swiss cheese. It has what Logitech calls dual swap technology, which is to say it can fit
00:24analog or mechanical switches in 39 of its 98 switch beds. That's neat and all, but look at
00:30these feet. These puppies are a switch and key puller, and the top of the keyboard even has a
00:35compartment for keeping your spare switches. That means you can swap around switches without having
00:40to carry around any extra accessories. And when you're done, you can pop the feet back on and get
00:45back to gaming, making chocolate or whatever they do a lot of over in Switzerland. The G512X is not
00:51yet done with its little compartments, though. Right under the switch housing, there are five
00:55sap rings, which are little rubber bands you put on top of a switch for a physical actuation point.
01:01If you're a bit sweaty in online games, you can set walking on the W key between 0.1 and
01:062mm,
01:07then running at any point beyond that. And speaking of sweaty, this thing rocks a polling
01:12rate of 8000Hz. But again, I just think it's kind of neat.
