14:07be the future has been a great ride till till now i think we make a very good team together

14:18main points no because i think that the reddit is really really important when he's going to the track
14:23he just have to think about uh riding style has everything and he must forgot everything and now we are

14:31that kind of of level of with the rider so i think we can make something important we know this

14:38moto gp it's very very difficult but uh we enjoy it it's been the best start to a season for
14:44you and
14:44you've been consistently the the best rider on the ducati why do you think that is what are you doing
14:50differently do you think i think just um this is my second year with the with the team with the
14:57crew that
14:57i have in the garage and together we've done an amazing job already last year trying to understand
15:02really well when the things were not working and when the things were working well and after a huge
15:09amount of analysis this year seems that we are able to understand quickly what we can we can fix
15:14when the feeling is not great so the different big difference compared the myself for last year is
15:20that once i have a little issue a little lack of feeling or something right after we have the solution
15:26to to improve and that's at the moment has been the key how have you developed you think as a
15:30rider
15:31because now you're potentially in the fight for a championship a couple of years ago there was a
15:36i suppose a fear about whether you would be staying in moto gp for sure it's a it's a growth
15:43process you
15:43know you need to have the the right people behind you when you're having moto gp is it's impossible to
15:48go on a bike and just go fast for sure it happened and it happened but it's because when it
15:55happened
15:55the crew around is the right clue for that rider to go fast because when you're having model gp is
16:00not just riding a bike it's not a moto 2 it's not a any other bike it's a model gp
16:05you need to ride
16:06in a proper way that some someone has to teach you how you need to get the feeling from these
16:10things
16:11you need to get used to all the things around uh just the things on track and yeah um i've
16:17been worked
16:18with a lot of people during my years and i think now i achieved the the really best crew that
16:24i ever had
16:24until now uh to work with and this has been also my growth understanding more and more things with
16:30more different people that they were teaching me you know things step by step we take him three years
16:37ago when he was asking for a bike because he didn't have a place he make a small meeting with
16:45me and with
16:46and he said listen just give me the last opportunity because i know we can i can be very very
16:52fast i can
16:54be one of the top riders we believe him and then we start working growing up growing up growing up
17:01until today that we won a race in in barcelona so it was a good step we was very very
17:10happy for him
17:11because long time to to to to work for for for win a race and uh finally arrive at the
17:18end you need
17:19time it's it's really difficult as i said if you don't have the right people around you it's normal
17:24that you you will not perform so you need time to get on the right place on the right moment
17:29with the
17:30right bike too so sometimes i saw talents in our sports uh ending their careers in model gp that they
17:38can
17:38be world champions or other things sometimes you need to be also lucky that some people believe in
17:44you and give you time do you feel you can launch a a title challenge this season i for sure

17:50for for this i wanna i wanna try to to challenge the apprentice i wanna try to challenge whoever it
17:55takes to to try to win the championship that's my goal uh it's what i'm um waking up in the
18:01morning for
18:01you know it's uh and the team is doing the same we are working really uh tireless every every day
18:06try to to improve and try to understand and analyze and i think we have a great opportunity the bike
18:12that they have maybe at the moment is not the best because aprilia are really in top four but it's

22:10something a little bit different now because the harleys are here it's time for the baggers race one which
22:17will feature andrea ianonia blast from the past the commentators are michael laverty and gavin emmit
22:25yeah thank you very much susie as the jets fly overhead here we are ready to race with our first
22:32race of the week and of course it's the third race of this a new fim bagger world cup presented
22:39by
22:39harley davidson and it's travis wyman who's on the third row of the grid and i've got
22:4410 bikes out there travis wyman from uh you know he is uh brother kyle's the baggers champion in motor
22:50america currently so uh experienced in this form of racing right at the back of the grid more of a
22:57flat track background but has done a bit of baggers in the us corey west uh rounds the back of
23:02the grid
23:0210 bikes out there then he's for the saddleman racing team um also you'll have uh seen andrea
23:10janone taking part this weekend he's on the front row the grid in third spot archie mcdonald's the
23:15early championship leader he's in second spot on the grid the young aussie and on pole it's the
23:20brazilian eric granado who heads us up
23:30eight laps of the magello circuit here at the italian grand prix and that's our front row the grid eric
23:36grander though archie mcdonald and andre janone his first appearance and already he was showing his
23:41class uh when he was quick in one of the practice early this week and he actually missed one of
23:45the
23:45practices that was uh that took place in damp conditions oscar gutierrez you recognize him from
23:50moto two or moto e where he's been a race winner over the last couple of seasons dimaseki pratma there
23:55for
23:55giving the indonesian interest then further back uh we have the americans with corey west rounding out
24:03the back row there is andrea ianone deleted all of his social media to make the big announcement
24:11that he was going to be riding in the baggers and there's archie mcdonald michael
24:17in the middle of that front row the mad dog as he's known a young australian's done well actually
24:22national superbike and uh yeah trying to prove himself on a world stage here riding what are beasts of
24:30motorcycles yeah he acquitted himself really well in texas and coda adapted to these heavier machines
24:37and yeah as you mentioned a lot of aussie super bikes in his background raced a bit in the last
24:42couple of seasons in the moto junior series in the stock 600 and yeah that obviously found a home for
24:47himself here in the baggers at the moment and leads the way after coda middle of the front row of
24:53the
24:53grid best in andrea ianone who did lead the way after a free practice session but not quite there when
24:58it
24:58came to the forfeit they look ridiculous to be racing if you are wondering what a bagger is the clue
25:03is
25:03in the name a big touring bike with the hard luggage bags that you can see there the panniers
25:08at the back normally it's for crossing america in comfort with your feet up pretty much here slightly
25:14oddly madly it's for racing around mijello and they are race prepared harley-davidson road glides
25:23it's a 131 cubic inch screaming eagle milwaukee 8 v twin say that twice fast oh it's a 2.1
25:30liter
25:31engine on it makes more than 200 horsepower get up 290 miles an hour as well even though they weigh
25:37around 280 kilos so yeah they are baggers they are for cruising across america but they are
25:43serious bits of kit and in terms of the lap times it's quite impressive you have to say over 200
25:48brake
25:49horsepower and with these dull not tires they seem to get around these racetracks impressively fast
25:54in touch with sort of super sport lap times in america when you've watched the the baggers over
25:59the years and have been quite impressive here in limited track time already this weekend yeah we've
26:04seen it haven't we in the states when we've been over in america jb williams had his success riding
26:08didn't he with indian these are all harleys by the way out there bradley smith's currently out there
26:13doing a bit of bagger racing uh in the states it's been really successful hasn't it uh motor america
26:19series to have the baggers racing yeah it certainly works here it is what make harley davidson series
26:23over there you've got the indian factory team as well and it does mix things up i do feel like
26:28we're
26:28missing a german williams from the grid though that would definitely spice things up a little bit
26:33he'd have loved it absolutely love coming back to a one of his old stomping grounds as it is we've
26:39got
26:39another person who loves this place andrea yannoni lining up on the front row alongside him archie
26:49mcdonald championship leader after that first round we saw in the usa where he won the first race he was
26:57third in the second race oscar gutierrez he was he won the race two and now we've got race three
27:03ahead
27:03of us so andrea yannoni just tries to work his way out slightly different i'm sure looking down on that
27:08rather than on a motor gp or a world superbike here we go then for the first time around mijello
27:15away
27:16they power down the home straight and look at them all watching to wheelie that way down towards turn
27:22one and despite the massive wheelie it is andrea yannoni who looked like he was going to get the
27:27whole shot is there a grander no turns in early and he's sliding it all the way down stamping on
27:33the
27:33rear break there uh yannoni gets a bit tight on exit and it's going to be granado leading oh archie
27:39mcdonald yes thank you around the outside that was superb from the aussie archie having a bit of it
27:45there on the way up into turn two it did look like he had only having the run to turn
27:49one was going to
27:50have it his own way but he went a little bit wide up the door for granado and then archie
27:54took full
27:55advantage around the outside yeah you've got to watch your panniers haven't you when you're turning in on
27:59someone like that anyway archie has taken the lead early on in this race down through cassadova
28:05savelli imagine imagine shifting 280 kilos from side to side down the hill fighting with the miss
28:13mispogello circuit it's going to be physical yeah it is a short race eight laps but it's going to be
28:17tough around here with the mass of these machines and as you mentioned forcing them left to right i spoke
28:22to a
28:22a few of the riders they said they're more agile than they look on the racetrack but yeah obviously
28:27possible to make a pass you have to be wary of those panniers as you're slipping your way through
28:31downhill into scarpa so uh someone's had a little crash down there oh down into scarpa and uh well
28:40unfortunately we've lost one already uh from our group so dimaseki pratamutis who's slid out of the way
28:48at the end of the race for the young indonesian of course uh riding for that nitty racing squad who
28:55yeah are tied in with cip is it they do a little bit of uh involvement in this championship but
29:01an indonesian based racing firm yeah funded him back by the indonesian harley davidson manufacturer
29:08but yeah the this guys from 80 racing you've seen him about the panic a lot with the moto three
29:12and
29:12motor two teams and supporting a lot of riders but yeah good to see they were the ones bringing andrea
29:17ianoni into this championship alongside franama for the remaining runs so archie we've gone on under
29:25pressure from eric granado behind this is a big one from oscar gutierrez trying to get it stopped but
29:31andrea no no the wily foxy is just turned over the top of gutier is no way through i have
29:37to say
29:38you know he's not had much time on the bike not had much time um on it and yet straight
29:47away it's been
29:47fast yeah first session he led the way obviously michello a bit of a stomping ground for him over
29:53the years knew the track well but adapted quickly to the heavier machine and i think he's just figured
29:57things out here in race trim following granado and archie who have a full race weekend and pre-season test
30:03in kona which did all happen at the american venue so he's starting a bit behind the eight ball but
30:09doing it so at home good to see the number 29 machine of ianoni looking as strong as he is
30:13here today
30:16so he's there in third granado in second looking lively isn't he i'm at mcdonald what we did see
30:21actually when we're in the states was the tires will go off at some point here comes jennone
30:26well he set that one up didn't he that is a little bit of track knowledge and experience i just
30:31wonder was the yellow flag still out in that zone i saw marshall still in the gravel possible so i'm
30:36wondering whether that's passing under a yellow it looked quite easy there for ianoni he might get
30:42the signal on his dash to drop one place if that is the case but yet he set it up
30:47nicely over the
30:48top of the hill into scarperia at that moment we were riding on board with archie mcdonald who
30:52backshifted just to stop it up at the apex then upshifted as he rolled down the hill so yeah different
30:57technique to help these baggers stop through the scarperia downhill corner now through puccine
31:04long downhill left-hander we've got all these but now it's a you know nate in second chasing him down
31:13he is the headline act you would say you know nate for this bagger world cup
31:19and he has just set the fastest lap of the race having made a move as well pretty impressive
31:27sounds quite quiet on board but when you're trackside these banks have some noise
31:32hearing him roar through our commentary box here as they pass us on the front straight heading up the hill
31:43there still archie mcdonald leading from you know nate in second granada third good chair is in four
31:49so front group before then two and a half seconds back to philippo ravelli the italian riding for the
31:57parking go team you'll be uh only too aware of chas davis writing for them taking them to world super

32:28the team owner so that is edu ravelli so yeah you'd only under investigation yellow flags i mean it's

32:45flags but i could see the marshals the orange army were in the gravel down there and the last thing

38:35it oh that was tight again to have to take the long lap loop that's going to cost him a

38:42time that yeah oh that's a huge moment on the dirty stuff coming out of it he went deep and

38:50touched the green paint on the outside it would be a harsh penalty to make him redo the long lap

38:55you are supposed to stay within the markers inside the white lines

43:34another solid podium and those um keeps him in in the head of the championship race
