00:35But recently, he did the whole thing where he calls Trump supporters racist,
00:40or people who voted for Trump are racist.
00:43And this is something Hillary Clinton did too.
00:46We saw her call them all racist, sexist, homophobic, deplore-basket of deplorables,

00:56And not only does that just alienate a huge portion of the population,
01:03but like 60 million, 63 million people voted for Trump.
01:08Not all of them are racist, obviously.
01:10Are some of them racist? Of course.
01:12Did Trump play into some people's xenophobia about immigrants and shit like that?

01:20Did a lot of nationalists, who are some of them are white nationalists, like his rhetoric?

01:28But not every single person who voted for Trump is racist.
01:31And it's such a bad move to say something like that.

01:38but it shows just a complete detachment and a misunderstanding of what happened in 2015 and 2016.
01:47The only candidates that I'm aware of who actually understand why Trump won are Bernie, Tulsi, and Yang.

02:59They're going, you know, the jobs they have don't pay them a living wage.
03:03They're worried that their kids can't get an education, can't afford health care.
03:07Many of the people in rural America are turning to drugs, to alcohol, to suicide even.
03:14So I think you've got a whole lot of people who are falling behind,
03:17and you have political leaders who have ignored that pain and that reality.
03:22The fact that people are working for low wages.
03:24They're spending half of their income in housing.
03:27They don't have any health care.
03:28They don't have any educational opportunities.
03:30And a lot of people around this country, and this is why I think Trump won,
03:35is people look at the Democratic establishment, and they're saying,
03:37hey, I'm here.
03:39Do you know that I'm making $10 an hour and I can't make it?
03:42Do you know that I'm paying a whole lot for rent that I can't afford,
03:45that I can't afford child care?
03:46Anybody worried about me?
03:47Anybody care about me?
03:48Anybody know that I exist?
03:50And I think for a lot of those folks, you know, Trump comes along.
03:53I don't think people like Trump.
03:54I don't think they believe him.
03:55But he was different.

03:58The Democratic Party failed the people,
04:01which is why I want so badly to see Bernie versus Trump.
