Rep. Robert Garcia sharply criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi during a heated exchange over the handling of materials related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Garcia questioned decisions surrounding the release of documents and raised concerns about whether the process was discouraging scrutiny of figures connected to the case, including President Donald Trump. He also challenged the protection of victims' identities, asking why survivors could have been exposed through released records.

00:00In fact, she said that she would not speak or respond to any questions that had anything to do with
00:06President Trump.
00:08It's also interesting that sitting next to her is DOJ counsel, somebody that currently works for the Department of Justice,
00:15who on multiple occasions stepped in and told the former Attorney General that she was not going to answer those
00:23questions,
00:24especially when we ask questions of what the President directed her to do.
00:28And so the DOJ is in there right now stopping questions about President Trump and about what happened in the
00:38release of these files
00:39and why so many survivors were doxed and their information, of course, released to the public.
00:44We continue to say that this should be recorded by video and released to the American public.
00:50And we're also asking that Chairman Comer immediately release the transcripts that right now are being done throughout today.
00:56I want to also say just a few other things.
01:00It is clear in this part of the interview that she continues to push all of the investigation and the
01:11blame on acting AG Todd Blanche.
01:16She said, and I quote, acting AG Blanche was managing the entire investigation, end quote.
01:23And what you're going to hear in that interview and what she's saying here in her words and remarks is
01:31that it was Todd Blanche,
01:32the current acting AG that was leading the Epstein investigation.
01:36And quite frankly, all of the mistakes that we saw, the redactions, not protecting survivors,
01:44she continues to push that back onto the acting AG Todd Blanche, who, by the way, was Donald Trump's former
01:50personal lawyer.
01:51One of the Department of Justice attorneys intervened and said that she did not have to answer the question
01:58because it was a voluntary interview and said, in fact, quote, we don't even have to assert privilege
02:06because of that and said, quote, we refuse to provide answers.
02:11That means that the United States Department of Justice is intervening on behalf of Pam Bondi
02:18to stop her from answering questions about what happened in the cover up of this case
02:24and her conversations with Donald Trump and is asserting that she does not have to answer questions
02:30because she is not required to because she is not being deposed under oath.
02:35This is a cover up.
02:37This will be remembered as the largest cover up likely in American history.
02:42And it is clear that this interview is a smokescreen to try to show the American people that they are
02:49complying while they are not.
02:51Now, I also want to point out that there is not a single Republican in the room besides the chairman.
