House Oversight Chair James Comer criticizes Democrats following Pam Bondi’s testimony, accusing them of remaining silent and walking out instead of asking key questions. Comer claimed Democrats failed to raise any pertinent issues during the briefing on the Epstein investigation. The moment has sparked political tensions, with Republicans calling out what they describe as a lack of engagement from the opposition.

00:00This was a voluntary briefing and at least the majority got to ask a lot of
00:06substantive questions.
00:07It was very disappointing what the Democrats have done.
00:09I believe that was premeditated.
00:11They came out clutching their pearls, complaining that she wasn't answering
00:16questions and things like that.
00:18The first three people to ask questions, all they did was complain.
00:23All they did was complain.
00:24They didn't ask any questions.
00:25The Attorney General's here, but they said they wanted C-SPAN in here.
00:30They want the cameras and very, very typical behavior of the Democrats, very
00:35disappointing because I really felt like there were a lot of the Democrat
00:41members that cared about getting the truth.
00:44But I've never seen members storm out of a briefing with the Attorney General and
00:52the entire leaders of the Department of Justice in there to answer questions.
00:57And they don't ask a single question.
00:59So but I think what what we heard today helped us.
01:03We'll continue with our investigation and move forward.
01:07Any questions?
01:08Andy?
01:09Will you still move forward with the subpoena for Attorney General?
01:13That's what that's what we that's what we plan on doing.
01:16Yes.
01:22Well, we'll have to we'll have to talk about it.
01:24I will tell you some of the members who voted to subpoena her today were pretty
01:28embarrassed by the way the Democrats acted in their lack of sincerity in having her in.
01:33Well, we'll have to talk about it.
01:37We'll have to talk about it as a committee.
01:45So they did hard hitting substantive questions.
01:51Well, and I told the I told the Attorney General, I spoke on numerous occasions of what we are
01:56serious about this investigation.
01:57This isn't a political game.
01:59The our constituents want answers.
02:01The American people want answers.
02:03We want to work with you.
02:05If we're going down a lane where you have an ongoing investigation, then tell us we don't
02:11want to interfere or impede.
02:13But we plan and we plan on moving forward.
02:15We plan on getting answers for the American people.
02:18And hopefully we'll be able to get more answers.
02:23And and, you know, I think everyone hopes that some people are held accountable to where we can
02:28get some accountability.
02:29But as I've said earlier, there we're seeing accountability.
02:32There are over a dozen men and women who have already resigned from very powerful, prestigious
02:36boards because of what has come out in public.
02:40And what's come out in public is because of the oversight subpoena of the DOJ documents
02:44and the oversight subpoena of the Epstein estate documents.
02:47So I'll do one more question.
02:49Congressman Summerlee said that you told her that she was, quote, bitching about something in the room.
02:54Is that accurate?
02:55That is accurate.
02:56What?
02:57What was she?
02:58Well, she was just complaining about the format.
03:00And and that was the fourth Democrat to ask questions.
03:06And they didn't ask any questions.
03:07They did not ask any questions.
03:09I'm like, my goodness, this is attorney general.
03:11You've been complaining.
03:12And this is why I think they did that, because they've worked with some of you in the media
03:18to try to create a false narrative that there's a cover up.
03:22Does it look like a cover up?
03:24The attorney general and Blanche and all the top brass at the DOJ in here to answer questions.
03:29And yet they don't ask a single question.
03:31The only questions they ask, will you commit to coming in for a deposition?
03:35Will you commit to coming in for a deposition?
03:37They didn't ask a single question.
03:38What?
03:38Where are we on the documents?
03:40Do you say there's an ongoing investigation?
03:42Do you think anyone is about to be prosecuted?
03:47Was Jeffrey Epstein an agent?
03:50These are questions that that we asked in the deposition.
03:54And they had an opportunity to ask and they didn't.
03:57But fortunately for everyone in the public who wants answers and who wants transparency and
04:03accountability, fortunately, the Republicans on the committee asked a lot of questions.
04:07So Mr. Chairman, do you want her to testify under oath?
04:11You personally.
04:12I mean, I want to talk to everyone.
04:15I want to talk to everyone.
04:16I don't, I personally, I personally don't see any reason for her to do a deposition.
04:24She's the sitting attorney general.
04:26She's turning over documents.
04:27I think the Democrats want to do this to embarrass her.
04:30I did not vote for the subpoena to, to bring her in for a deposition.
04:35I want to bring in the bad guys for the deposition.
04:38I want to bring in the men who have abused women.
04:40I want to bring in anyone who is involved in the prosecution and or lack of prosecution
04:46of Epstein, Maxwell, and, and some of these other guys.
04:50So that's where I think our time and energy should be spent.
04:53But we had five Republicans vote with the Democrats.
04:57And again, the Democrats had an opportunity to ask questions.
05:00They didn't ask a single pertinent question.
