Pam Bondi Praises Trump For 'Closing The Border': ‘There Was Nothing Humane Happening’ There

On Wednesday, Attorney General Pam Bondi discussed President Trump's border security policies.

00:00Well, we've heard during this summit from the law enforcement agencies,

00:13especially DEA, whom I think deserve a place in heaven. I mean, they're hard-working,

00:22tough prosecutors. In a matter of just a few months, you and President Trump have drastically

00:35improved the conditions at our border, and I want to thank you for that. That's the

00:40most important thing, perhaps, that we've seen happen. What do you say about that border

00:48and what we need to do? Well, we – President Trump closed the

00:53border right away. Listen, I went to that border in September. I went to that border with my

00:59friend Laura Trump and Morgan – friends Laura Trump and Morgan Ortega. There is nothing

01:03humane happening at that border. Drugs were flowing across our border, flowing. People

01:10were walking across our border, 18- to 35-year-old fighting-age men. I saw firsthand passports,

01:17driver's license, photo IDs just dropped at the other side of the border. And without

01:22an ID, they could walk right in. A Chinese national carrying fentanyl could say, oh, I'm from Cuba.

01:29And they had to believe him if he didn't have ID and let him into our country. It was horrific.

01:35And it would take another half an hour or more to talk about the human trafficking, which is

01:40another obsession of mine, the sex trafficking, the unaccompanied children coming across the border.

01:47Because if you posed as a family unit, it's much easier to walk into our country. And

01:52these kids were being smuggled in and out. They called him a disposable child, a recycled

01:56child, coming in and out. And the border patrol agents recognized this one little boy who kept

02:02coming in and out. And they're like, they didn't understand. They finally, like the third

02:06or fourth time, recognized him. He was being trafficked. Now, how they were getting him back to Mexico,

02:11I don't know, but they were really bringing him across our border to pose as a family member.

02:16So these are the cartels. Cartels grew wildly profitable during the last administration.

02:24They did. They're still – they're multibillion-dollar businesses. Look at the cocaine I talked about

02:29that we just seized. But they're multibillion-dollar businesses. And they're just – it's flowing

02:35into our country. And President Trump said, no more. It's going to stop. No more human trafficking.

02:41No more drugs across our border. And we're doing everything we can to stop it. But so many

02:46of these drugs are already in our country. And that's why all of you in this audience

02:50and you, Chairman, have such a vested interest in this and helping these victims and getting

02:56these drugs off our streets.
