00:05The danger of separating them. Anointing without excellence is a mess, and excellence without
00:12anointing is empty. You need both to function effectively. Think of it like a bird. A bird
00:20needs two wings to fly. One wing is anointing. The other wing is excellence. If one wing is weak,
00:27the bird cannot fly straight. It falls. Nowadays, many Christians have only one wing.
00:34Let us imagine this. Imagine a person who means well, is full of passion, prophecy, and they
00:40worship deeply, but this same person is always late, unprepared, unreliable, and has no discipline.
00:48That is anointing without excellence. People can be blessed and also be frustrated when they are
00:54around the person because there is no structure in place and no plan in place to adopt any.
01:01Another scenario, imagine a person who is polished, skilled, with a lot of training and experience,
01:07who doesn't have depth or the power of God backing them. People would appreciate the packaging,
01:13but still feel empty after everything. No impact whatsoever. This is what happens when one wing
01:21is missing. God never designed your life to run on just anointing or just excellence. Because one
01:28without the other creates an imbalance. And an imbalance always shows. We're going back to David
01:35for a sec. David had both. He had oil on his head. But he also had a sling in his
01:41hand and five smooth
01:42stones. Before facing the giant, he had spent hours alone with sheep, practicing. He was accurate,
01:49and he was ready. So, when Goliath came, David did not just boast and then run to pray. He was
01:57sure his
01:58wings were solid. And God honored his preparation. If David had only anointing, he might have missed
02:05the giant. If he had only skill, he might have hit the giant, but without God's power. But because he
02:13had
02:13both, one stone brought the giant down. So ask yourself these questions. Have I been using God
02:20will help me as an excuse not to grow? Have I been relying on my ability so much that I've
02:27stopped
02:27depending on God? Prayer. Father, where I've been careless, correct me. Where I've been self-reliant,
02:35humble me. Teach me how to carry both your presence and responsibility with maturity. Make my life
02:42balanced, grounded, and yielded to you. Amen.
