Watch the highlights of stage 19 of the Giro d'Italia 2026, which took place on 29/05/2026.

The Giro d’Italia is one of the most prestigious cycling tours in existence. After last year’s thrilling battle, in which Simon Yates defeated Richard Carapaz and Isaac del Toro, the peloton returns for another three weeks of top-level racing. The 24-year-old Giulio Pellizzari will try to stop him, as will Derek Gee-West, Felix Gall, Enric Mas, and Adam Yates, who would no doubt love to follow in his brother’s footsteps. With plenty of opportunities for both sprinters and attacking riders, everything is in place for three weeks of thrilling and unpredictable racing!

00:08At the Giro, anything can happen, and today with the Queen stage, the spectacle is guaranteed.
00:16Yesterday on a stage perfect for breakaways, we witnessed a thrilling sprint finish dominated by Paul Manier.
00:23It's Manier! What a statement from Paul Manier!
00:27A lot of emotions, it was really not expected, so the emotions were even bigger and I'm super proud about
00:32all the team works.
00:34We had a nice evening, so let's see today.
00:36Who claimed his third stage win and took the coveted Cyclamen jersey from Jonathan Narvaez.
00:42Today, however, the script changes. No more sprinters. This is a day for the pure climbers.
00:49Six climbs, 5,000 meters of elevation gain. Impressive numbers for a stage that could turn the Giro on its
00:55head.
00:56Jonas Wingergaard has always been unbeatable on the climbs with four stage victories to his name.
01:01We will be a bit more defensively today. We don't plan to go for the stage win. We will try
01:06to keep the jersey for tomorrow as well.
01:09The province of Belluno hosts this epic Dolomite stage, starting in Feltre, a charming medieval town, and finishing at 1465
01:18meters in Piana di Pece.
01:20It's a new finish for the Giro, but not for the Giro under 23.
01:23In 1992, Marco Pantani launched a 70-kilometer solo breakaway, reaching the finish ahead of Pavel Cherkasov and Andrea Noe.
01:32The first 40 kilometers of today's stage are relatively straightforward, but things quickly get serious.
01:38The first KOM is Paso Duran, followed by the climbs of Coy, with gradients up to 19%.
01:44And for Celas Taulanza, the first decisive moment will come on the ascent of Paso Jao, the Cima Kopi of
01:50this edition.
01:51We may witness two races in one, one for the stage win and one for the general classification.
01:57Wingergaard is the clear favorite, but anyone looking to challenge him must start today.
02:03I like this kind of stage. I want to defend the second place.
02:16At the start in Feltre, the sun is shining. Today, the temperature could be a decisive factor.
02:22Down in the valley, it's close to 30 degrees, but at the top of the Dolomite climbs, conditions will be
02:28very different.
02:36Many teams have marked this stage as a key one and are sending their riders on the attack.
03:10After 40 km, it's already time to tackle the first climb of the day, Paso Duran.
03:17As soon as the road kicks up, Giulio Ciccone raises the pace and, together with the other riders, manages to
03:24bridge across to the front of the race.
03:27The pink jersey group is already in difficulty, and some GC contenders begin to move, but we're only on the
03:34first climb.
03:37At the top of Paso Duran, it is Ciccone who crests first, with 13 other riders alongside him.
03:43He picks up those 40 points.
03:55During the climb to Coy, a large breakaway group forms at the front of the race.
04:05Meanwhile, Wingergaard keeps the situation under control in the peloton.
04:18Thanks to an attack on the climb, Ciccone and Rubio gain an advantage and crest the Coy KOM in the
04:24lead.
04:2830 secondi per gli seguitori. 30 secondi.
04:35There's only time to recover briefly, as the riders immediately face the ascent to Forcellas Taulanza.
04:43It's one climb after another with no moment to breathe.
04:52Everywhere they point their camera is a masterpiece really, isn't it?
05:02Ciccone is about to cross the line.
05:04Before reaching the summit, the intermediate sprint in Palafaveira comes up, with Rubio crossing first.
05:10The two leaders manage to hold the chasers at around 20 seconds.
05:13As in the previous KOMs, Ciccone takes maximum points.
05:20The Paso Chao is ready to challenge the riders.
05:24Almost 10 kilometers leading up to 2,236 meters above sea level.
05:29A truly legendary climb.
05:37The gradients are demanding and fatigue begins to set in, but many are fighting to reach the Chima Kopi first.
05:48It is Giulio Ciccone who does it, claiming 50 points and moving into the lead of the King of the
05:54Mountains classification.
05:55Highest points in the year are always named after the great faster Kopi.
06:05Vingegaard doesn't seem interested in going for the stage win and has given the green light to his teammate, Sepp
06:11Gauss.
06:21The Red Bull KM comes halfway up the climb and it's taken by Derek Gee.
06:30Hairpin after hairpin, the breakaway riders show no signs of slowing down.
06:37At the KOM, Ciccone has to settle for second place behind Rubio, but the Italian keeps pushing and launches into
06:44the descent.
06:49Ciccone is on fire.
06:52He's going all in and manages to build a lead of over one minute on his rivals.
07:0310 km to arrive for Giulio Ciccone.
07:07We're waiting for the followers.
07:10Only the final climb to Piano dei Pezzè remains.
07:13Five brutal kilometers with an average gradient of 9.6%.
07:17On the climb, it's a sea of fans welcoming Giulio Ciccone.
07:21But his advantage might not be enough.
07:40Sepp Gauss makes contact with Ciccone and delivers the decisive move.
07:47You're riding history, yeah, Sepp Gauss, you're riding history, come on!
07:50He's made the day of the American cycling public and in his own Palmares, this is going to look extremely
07:56good indeed.
07:57On this blisteringly hard day in the Dolomites, no rider has risen to the top like Sepp Kuss.
08:03Job done for the American, cut free of domestic duties on this occasion and answering the call of his team,
08:10answering the call of the mountain and adding to his set of Grand Tour stage wins, completing the set.
08:16Sepp Kuss, a winner at the Giro Natalya.
08:34The last kilometer I was suffering so much because I went quite deep in the beginning, I didn't really calculate
08:43so much, I just tried to go as hard as I could.
08:49It's really a dream team here, when your teammates win and especially when Sepp wins, sacrificing himself for everybody else
08:56and that he never asks something back.
09:14Tomorrow offers the last battle before the final parade in Rome, but it will be anything but easy.
09:21It will be a stage of challenges and remembrance from Gemona del Friuli to Piancavalo, 200 kilometers with 3,750
09:29meters of elevation gain.
09:31The first climb comes after 80 kilometers, but the decisive action will revolve around the double ascent of Piancavalo, 14
09:39.5 kilometers at an average gradient of 7.8%.
09:42The first summit comes 52 kilometers from the finish, then after a stretch of false flat, the final climb begins,
09:50leading all the way to the finish line.
09:54the first step is to roll the Giro Natalya.
09:55The next step is to the end.
09:57The third one has to move.
