00:06has increased in just the last few months.
00:08Talk to us about the doubling that we saw in such a short period of time.
00:12That's right. So Anthropic is, you know, nearing 50 billion of run rate revenue, and that's a projection of their
00:20annual revenue.
00:21The growth has been incredible. I mean, just three years ago, Anthropic was not even really a product that was
00:29selling any software.
00:31So that rate is something that investors are very excited about and why you're seeing them able to command evaluation
00:39that is now surpassing OpenAI at 900 billion pre-money.
00:44OpenAI was last valued earlier this spring at north of 700 billion pre-money.
00:50So that's how, you know, you're seeing now these companies really being neck and neck.
00:57Of course, it's still early in the AI game, and these companies are constantly surpassing each other with each model
01:04release.
01:05Shereen, could this be the final fundraising round before this company IPOs?
01:10It very well could be. Both OpenAI and Anthropic are eyeing IPOs as soon as this fall, as we have
01:18reported.
01:18So the timing here will be critical in terms of how are these companies stacking up if and when they
01:26do actually move forward with that public listing.
01:29OK, so the question about, you know, the products that OpenAI has and the products that Anthropic has, some people
01:37could say, wait a second, we kind of look at these as commodities.
01:40What are these companies doing to try to differentiate themselves from one another?
01:44And why is Anthropic seemingly the hot one right now versus OpenAI or even other model makers?
01:51I think Anthropic has had a very strong offering with their coding agents, ClaudeCode.
01:57There were early adopters in the software industry, and then we started to see that rollout to Fortune 500s and
02:03other major business customers who started taking up Anthropic's automated software AI tools.
02:10Now, that being said, again, it's always a fierce race.
02:13We've seen Google improve its coding agents, OpenAI's codex tools, so picking up steam.
02:18But Anthropic really did focus on securing those business use cases for AI earlier on and kind of narrowly focus
02:27its attention there.
02:28And that's been its real strength, I think, in the market.
