RAVEN LEFT HANGING ENTANGLED FOR SIX HOURS RESCUED

WITH VID

By Soban Aslam

Watch as rescuers save a trapped raven after the bird spent more than six hours hanging from a tree tangled in rubbish.

Abbie Plant captured the dramatic rescue in Rugby, England.

The video shows the exhausted raven suspended high in a tree after becoming caught in rope, baling twine, and plastic waste. A tree surgeon from Scullion Tree Care carefully climbs the tree and reaches the distressed bird before placing it safely into a cage.

Once back on the ground, rescuers begin cutting away the tangled debris wrapped around the raven.

The weakened bird was immediately transported for X-rays at Pear Tree Vets in Leamington Spa, where vets discovered a dislocated leg.

According to the rescuers, the raven has since been transferred to a corvid specialist for rehabilitation with hopes it can eventually return to the wild.

Abbie said: "We became aware of a raven entangled at a hotel in Rugby, and as a bird rescue, made our way over the assess the situation.

"After hanging for over 6 hours entangled in human rubbish of rope, baling twine and plastic, a tree surgeon climbed the tree and released the bird which was weak but alive.

"They were taken straight for X-rays which showed a dislocated leg, we hope the corvid specialist where they've gone can rehab them and help get them better so they can be released back to their family."
