00:22say this is a smart idea either together we were on a drag queen entertainment
00:26company by day I'm Joe and by night I'm hasta la vista the party is always going
00:32when a style of East days here and I handle all the boring business details
00:38in our job we get to create beauty and it is so much fun but here everything is
00:43natural it is God's gift and 15 visits later we finally decided we want to
00:48move here and it's official running our business from Puerto Rico is going to be
00:52challenging baby there's going to be struggles there's going to be
00:56times you're like what am I doing here how do I get this done but um I don't
01:00have a sugar daddy I have a Jimmy so
01:32see those balconies up there could you imagine waking up every single morning
01:35just opening the doors up Jimmy about Joe oh my gosh so excited yeah you know real slow
01:56because I have you know my two inch heels for all San Juan I think I'm a professional in heels

02:04cannot do it like you Jimmy and Joe they're so bold so vibrant they're gonna
02:08connect immediately with Puerto Rico because Puerto Rico is like that we have
02:12everything we have the food we have the culture we have the warm weather we have
02:17the warm people many communities here can offer that vibrant cultures so they can
02:22experience Puerto Rico the way they should I want to know everything about what you
02:27want what you don't want okay so we're a little different in what we're thinking I
02:32want something a little tinier maybe an apartment I would love a balcony more than
02:36anything just to get a nice little view he wants the single-family home I'm
02:40looking for a little slice of land a little bit of property of our own okay
02:43challenging because it's pretty different yeah and how about how many
02:47bedrooms I would love a three-bedroom two-bath I have a dream of the primary
02:53suite with the ensuite bathroom a guest room a separate office there's a pool
02:59that's okay so any specifics why bigger I grew up a lot in apartments and I've
03:05never had that kind of like stamp in the world I want that little like chunk of
03:08Puerto Rico myself hey I would be okay with a one-bedroom why don't the guests
03:12get a nice little short-term rental down the street you know we could hang out
03:15during the day we can go walk old San Juan and then at night we can get away from
03:19each other again okay I think if we do go with a smaller space it's gonna have to be a
03:23little bit more just for us we do have a lot going on office drag we're the
03:27coolest people in our families and we're moving to Puerto Rico people are
03:30going to come down here so I'd rather have the spot for them to begin with
03:33furnish would be great and I also love the island vibe tropical colors I don't
03:37want it to look like I'm in a gray blur I need colors everywhere okay so let's talk
03:43about a little bit about budget for a single-family home we're talking about
03:49minimum 350,000 that is towards the tippy top of the budget I would like to be
03:55honestly if we have to push it a little bit above 350 I'm okay with that as well
04:00over the course of a 30-year mortgage what's a little bit more money right so
04:03we will make it possible she looks amazing she finds deals we found the one
04:16moving somewhere new is obviously scary for anybody but everything we've done
04:19is kind of been against what people have told us to do when we decided that we
04:24probably want to start putting some roots down here we started putting the
04:27money down for a down payment and then we were able to pretty much pay off our
04:31entire place in New Jersey so we have that always to go back run business do
04:35things there but we want to spend most of our time here we are going to see a
04:39couple of properties here we're right now in some to say that is up and coming
04:42okay okay something says more like an urban type of artistic lifestyle it
04:48sounds very us yeah I love it do you know who's bad bunny I love okay so he was on
04:54the roof on that gas station he started singing and everybody came out from the
04:59restaurants from the cafes a full surprise concert first I want to say yeah that
05:03is that's so cool look it up so I pulled two great listings for you to see the
05:09first one that we are going to be seeing here to the left seat is a three bedroom
05:15two bath okay as a small patio with beautiful landscaping it has a side
05:20entrance that you can come from the beach the price point is 500k oh this coffee is
05:27ice but I am hot ah that might be pushing it just a little too far let's keep on
05:32driving although if I ever hit the lottery you can bring me back here okay so
05:36we're gonna drive then to our next single-family home in Santurce okay okay it's
05:43also a little bit over the budget 400,000 that one hit me where it hurt okay okay so
05:51we're pushing it for sure but better than $500,000 it's a great neighborhood it's very
05:56residential okay okay but you still can walk to cafes here is the property why
06:03don't you pop out the door is open all right oh my I can kind of understand the
06:18price point a lot it's like I definitely see the price point here now I'm gonna
06:22tell you right off the bat I am obsessed with these tiles I wonder if they continue throughout
06:26the entire house around I purchased I know I'm excited to see this table is incredible the table's
06:31fierce for the price do you think it has enough space for when we have people to entertain I think

06:37has more than enough space we've got a four top kitchen table a four top breakfast nook I
06:43guess people could separate I'm thinking everybody needs to sit at the same table I think
06:46we got some more house to explore I do like these stairs and then we get back to our tile

06:58a great space let's go see what the primary bedrooms like ooh okay the tiles are fierce I do actually

07:06this bedroom I think this is my favorite furniture in the house I don't think I would honestly change a
07:10thing in here except maybe add a couple more pops of colors either doesn't need a little bit more color
07:15but the base is perfect comfort test I think that's very important okay a king bed built for
07:21a queen I like it our first meeting we met at a little cafe I did the hold the door
07:27open for him
07:28so he could like walk under and as he walked under I took a look at the button we've been
07:33here ever since dump truck back here now that is a shower she deserves a yes queen this is a
07:40fierce
07:40bathroom yes queen mama there's not one thing I would change in here I love how bold this blue is
07:46I agree now this is a nice size room I like the fact that it has almost like a second

07:52there this is beyond enough space for guests for drag for office there's still another level to explore
08:02this is the third flight of stairs in here wow I love this wow this is absolutely next level I

08:21these chairs a lot I can see us having a little grill setting up a little dining area I feel

08:28city that's the only bummer about the view but then also I can imagine me having a drink in my
08:34hand sitting up here this is fabulous we got engaged about three years ago he never wanted an
08:40actual engagement ring he said don't ever waste money on that when you propose I want you to propose
08:45with an onion ring so I had a pink box with a lovely fried nice thick onion ring to us
08:51I got down on
08:52one knee dressed as Prince Charming and uh he was dressed as Belle and I uh asked him to marry

08:57and I've worn that onion ring every day since so I think the property was beautiful but the price
09:05point was a little high I I really do love that it's a single-family home but I do wish
09:10there was
09:10a little bit more like greenery I mean everything is very close we can walk to the beach but I
09:15agree
09:15it kind of feels a little like concrete jungly yeah that's a good way to put it yeah I got

09:20there are a couple more listens to see I am 35 years old and I eat like a 14 year

09:35have chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese for every meal I would I'm very proud of you by the
09:40way I would have been afraid of free meats mixed together before Puerto Rico gives me the uh the
09:44courage to try new things I've never heard of you scared of free meats mixed together I rely on his
09:51lovely dieting skills to keep us all in line really really good this could be our life every single
09:57day sitting here watching the water eating our sandwich I'm excited I think that this is gonna work
10:06out perfectly for us okay the neighborhood is San Juan okay San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and
10:18over 50% of the population lives in San Juan everyone is a local around here gotcha I really like
10:24the
10:24neighborhood already driving through price point is 250,000 I love that but to get to this price point
10:32there are some renovations that you might want to do okay I think I see my pool so here we

10:54I already love the colors very colorful very vibrant very old San Juan this is giving me that like
11:02island tropical vibe pink yellow blue definitely some work that's gonna need to be done like
11:08there's a hole in the wall but there's no hole that we can't fill so kitchen table's cute simple basic
11:15nothing crazy I feel like you can throw a plant on there yeah let's check out the kitchen over there
11:19okay this to me is the fantasy but it needs work I love the pink rhinestone handles I knew you

11:28gonna like that I love the pink paint the accessories but then this like 1974 brown mucky countertop this is
11:35hideous and needs some work and that the stove the fridge is a little dinged up here the fridge though
11:40I feel like we can like put a pig in a wig sand it down paint it pink make a
11:44fantasy happen six or seven
11:46more projects okay but we have the budget to do so even if we wanted to get a new refrigerator

11:51could do that with the extra money but do we have the time that's another question all I'm saying is

11:57loving this but we will have to do a little bit of work this is kind of cute right I

12:02walking into the uh secondary bedroom now this is a cute space very very nice I think is this is

12:10of those pullout type beds okay where you can do yep so okay this is like a king flies king

12:17something for that that's great and then I do like the fact that when there's not guests we could
12:21collapse it a little bit and we would have the ability to maybe put a desk in here yeah that's

12:25possibility see look at you I'm trying I'm trying there in San Juan it is a more competitive drag
12:31scene so you do have to really stand out and have that star power but we are a little bit
12:35innovative
12:36if you will and we have some ideas to kind of spice it up and bring some new stuff to
12:39the table
12:40San Juan's already hot but I still beast is hotter okay um I'm looking at this bedroom color and I
12:48don't know if I love or hate the color yet I don't know if I feel like I'm walking into
12:51a hospital room
12:52or if it's giving me the full island vibe okay I do see a sliver of a balcony over there

12:58want to check it out wow this must be like eight inches by three feet teeny this view is stunning

13:17the bathroom is very dated it needs a lot yeah of work in every aspect absolutely hideous

13:37it's completely dated I don't think there's too many positives after the toilet looks new it does look
13:43relatively new it's fabulous I feel like I'm more of a bargain hunter because it's always fun to get
13:47something in lesser condition and then kind of drag it up yourself I like to turn something more
13:52beautiful hey diva hey I want to hear all about it all right let it go so overall the layout

14:01space is very nice I like the fact that it's all open the paint was very colorful but we're not

14:06that single-family home vibe that I'm looking for the pool is a definitely a big help but I don't

14:11how sold I am on it just yet I will tell you I actually did like the fact that it
14:16had two bedrooms
14:16that is very nice to have that extra space to be able to have a little office if we do

14:21yeah I think the price point is incredible but there's a little bit too much maintenance that I
14:25wasn't willing to try however with this lower budget we still can pay somebody to get these done
14:30from an investment perspective get some renovations done and then bring your value up it does make
14:36sense I didn't think about it like that don't worry guys we'll see each other again tomorrow okay we can't
14:42wait okay we're adventurers we love to adventure we love to get our hands dirty being in Puerto Rico is
14:52definitely going to give us the escape that we need when we are able to unplug from the company
14:57this cave is nearly four million years old wow are we ready I'm ready I'm ready so follow me guys

15:18me introduce you to Puerto Rico's third largest vet without fruit bats there will be no bananas I
15:24think my favorite part about Puerto Rico in general is the beauty is natural here this is incredible
15:33it's very rare that I'm left speechless but I do not have words
15:44so we're headed to Puerto de Tierra that is prior to old San Juan so this is pretty close to
15:49old San Juan
15:50it's extremely close to all so not only that it's the same zip code oh I can almost smudge it
15:58and say
15:58I live in old San Juan that is awesome you have the most amazing bars restaurants a lot of nightlife
16:05which I know you love yes this is great we are going to be in the building that is five
16:12minutes
16:12walking to the beach love that okay okay then let me tell you Jimmy it has a pool okay okay

16:19like a million dollar property well it's not it's 360,000 I can't wait to see this one here we

18:20the yeah okay that's not cute I'm not really a fan of that no I'm gonna be honest that might

18:26me reevaluating my one bedroom dream yeah we might have to think this through are you guys ready hi
18:32yes just finished up so tell me all about it there is a lot to think about here I mean
18:37when I walked in
18:38I was almost ready to write you a check say budgets off limits I don't care anymore the one thing
18:43that we
18:43really didn't like about the apartment is the fact that the only bathroom here is in the bedroom
18:48actually normally one bedroom in this location I have never seen one with a half bathroom outside
18:53okay that's something to think about what do you thought about the view I really love the view when I
18:59walked in I thought that was a million dollar view the only thing that kind of bums me out is

19:03have nowhere to actually go and enjoy the weather outside the other thing that I'm really struggling
19:08with there's no real space for us to have guests stay over I was almost positive it was
19:13gonna be like once I walked in this is it I need it but after thinking of a couple things
19:16I really
19:17want to make sure we're 100% set wear options up so I just got off the phone with Alexandra
19:30okay and
19:31I do not have the best news the one bedroom apartment is already off the table somebody put in an
19:36offer
19:37what that quickly she wasn't kidding she said to move quick and she meant fast if we had to lose
19:42one of
19:42the properties I'm kind of glad it was that one it didn't have enough of the things that we were
19:46looking for for our lifestyle when you are right you are right but how about the one you were really
19:51hoping for a single-family home what did you think of that although it wasn't three bedrooms like I was
19:55originally looking for it had the two full bedrooms and then the side little office nook that I would
20:00be able to use to work from it felt very nice and very authentic I liked that a lot the
20:05colorful condo
20:06that was kind of the vibe I was hoping for I wanted to walk in and feel like I was
20:09in old San Juan see
20:10colors see pastels have a view which that place had as well I've done the apartment living thing my
20:16whole life and I have a vision for our life in mind and that's going to impact our decision so
20:25after
20:25some careful consideration and a consultation with Hasta La Vista we went with the colorful condo it was
20:33the perfect choice for all three of us because it fits into our budget it allows us to have family
20:36if
20:36needed and it still allows Hasta La Vista to get more costumes a little mini dress for a
20:42I can honestly cut it up turn into something else yeah yes mama I think we should grab our
20:48snorkeling gear and head on in get the gear and do I say snorkel look at you go this move
20:54has
20:54honestly been incredible for us now we get to go out on an adventure together snorkel and just really
20:59soak up life we love the kitchen as it was but honestly it was so much fun to just think
21:04pink and
21:04enhance it even further we have all pink accessories now from our air fryer to our knives to our toaster
21:09I'm even at the point now where I'm only allowing us to buy pink soap well I know I talked
21:14a lot of
21:15crap about that balcony but we did find the perfect little table to sit out there enjoy our cafecito in
21:20the morning and just soak up the Sun it's almost like the compromise worked out just seeing a little
21:26skinny fish over there well thank you I've been working out
