00:12If you look at what we've already accomplished here, assuming that we're able to get to a final agreement here,
00:19we're reopening the Straits of Hormuz, we've already decimated their conventional military, and we're in a position where we could
00:25substantially step back their nuclear program, not just during the term of this president, but over the years.
00:30For the long term, that's a very, very good thing for the American people.
00:33So, we're not there yet, but we're very close, and we're going to keep on working at it.
00:36Thank you, guys. Have a good evening.
00:37Not in Iran. Not in Iran.
00:45Is there a line that they would cross for you to go on the offensive again, militarily?
00:49Well, a deal that wasn't going to be good for us is the line, ultimately, because, you know, I'm playing
00:54it out, and we're going to see, and that's what I do.
00:56I negotiate. They negotiate. They're very good negotiators. They're crafty.
01:00But in the end, we have all the cards, because we've defeated them militarily.
01:05Look, they have no Navy. Every ship, they have 159 ships.
01:09Every one of them are at the bottom of the sea. Every single one.
01:13We take pictures of them. We have people going down, taking pictures of hundreds of ships.
01:17Their Navy is totally gone, 100%. Their Air Force is totally gone, 100%.
01:23Their military, we've sort of left it alone, because we think that their military is somewhat moderate.
01:31They have other people that aren't moderate. We've taken them out. We've taken different forms of leadership out.
01:35We've actually left their military alone. People would be surprised to hear that, because mistakes have been made in wars
01:41where you wipe out everybody, and then you have a country that's, you know, for 40 years can never rebuild.
01:47You look at what happened with Iraq.
01:48We did so badly. It was such a foolish thing, what we did. Shouldn't have been there in the first
01:53place, by the way.
01:54And shouldn't have been in Iran. But Iran has the capability. If we didn't hit them with the B-2
02:01bombers nine months ago, they would have a nuclear weapon right now.
02:04President Trump said, Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we will have to blow them up.
02:11Are you guys back there in the West Wing making plans for a new war with Oman?
02:16Again, I think the president wanted to punctuate freedom of navigation in the strait.
02:22I had a call with the Omani ambassador this morning, and he assured me that there were no plans for
02:28tolling the strait.
02:29As he said, our countries have had 200 years of good relations. He wants to have another 200 more.
02:35And I told him that this was a non-starter, and he did not want to risk either the Omani
02:43individuals or Omani financial institutions getting sanctioned.
02:47What we've seen is actually oil prices are down about 10% in May.
02:52There are almost 2,000 ships waiting to come out of the Gulf, and I think the oil market is
02:57going to be very well supplied on the other side of this, and that we could see prices come down
03:02very quickly.
03:03We saw the UAE leave OPEC.
03:06So I would expect on the other side of this that gasoline prices will follow.
03:12Is there an agreement with Iran on the table?
03:15The teams have been going back and forth, and President Trump has made it very clear.
03:20He talked about it at the cabinet meeting that he has several red lines, and Iran has to turn over
03:28their highly enriched uranium.
03:30They cannot pursue a nuclear weapon.
03:32And the strait of Vermouth, back to your question on energy, has to free transit.
03:37Navigation of the seas has to be free and open as it was before.
03:41So he's not going to take a bad deal.
03:43He's going to make a great deal for the American people.
03:47We've seen that, but we also are very worried and concerned about the reported exchange of fire we've seen between
03:56the U.S. and Iran over the last day or so.
04:01And we encourage both parties to respect the ceasefire that they had announced.
04:07The SG's position, I think, has been consistent from day one.
04:10He wants the restoration of full freedom of navigation in the strait of Hormuz.
