In a statement today, Works Minister Alexander Nantalingi said this exemption will cost the

government some RM42.99 million.

It will only apply to personal vehicles.

Nanta said the government decided to exempt tolls for the two days as part of its goal

to look after the welfare of the rakyat and reduce their cost of living.

The exemptions will be implemented at all highways from 12.01am tomorrow and end at

However, it will not apply to the tolls at the country's borders, namely the Sultan
