00:00Yeah look, this is pretty exciting. We know that Bathurst Regional Council made the decision not
00:04to go ahead with the Bathurst Winter Festival this year. But what I'm really proud to be able to say
00:09is that Ace Attractions and the Bathurst Showground Trust have actually stepped up.
00:13They've got businesses on site already and we're going to see the Bathurst Showgrounds Winter
00:18Festival for 2026 taking place. It's reimagined. It's going to be down here at the showground.
00:24We're going to see the ice skating rink returning. We're going to see the carousel.
00:28We're going to see market days. We're going to see food stalls down here. There's going to be special
00:33days as well. All abilities days. There's going to be days for your pets and this is fantastic.
00:39I just say that this event is so important. Once you lose these events out of your community
00:43it's very difficult to bring them back and what we have seen here is the community coming together,
00:49working together to ensure that this event is going to be continuing here in the local area.
00:55So it's going to run from the 4th to the 19th of July. So we've actually put three weekends
01:02into it. The middle weekend I can announce this morning we're going to have fireworks which
01:07is quite exciting. And we'll have the food and drink wine on the first and the last weekend.
01:14We're positioned. We've got the room, you know, we've got the amazing buildings and we do have
01:21parking on site. So people don't need to walk anywhere. They can drive in and park right
01:26near which is really good for anyone with disabilities as well.
