The Dubbo advanced wastewater treatment plant opened on September 8, 2026, after a ceremony involving Squadron Energy CEO Rob Wheals and Dubbo mayor Josh Black. The facility cost $7.8 million and its water will be spread between the company's wind farms and the council's sporting fields, freeing more potable water from other resources for the city's residents.
