00:063 oil tankers came under drone attack in the Black Sea near Turkey's northern shoreline
00:11on Thursday, shipping agency Trebekah reported.
00:15According to the agency, the tanker James II, which sails under the Palau flag and was
00:20travelling without cargo, was located about 80 km north of the Turculi region when the
00:26incident took place.
00:28Trebekah also stated that the tankers Altura and Valora, both operating under the Sierra
00:33Leone flag and likewise empty of cargo, were targeted in the same general area while engaged
00:38in a ship-to-ship transfer operation.
00:41Emergency coastal safety vessels were dispatched to assist, and all crew members aboard the
00:46affected ships were said to be unharmed.
00:49Ukraine's main intelligence directorate, known as HUR, has claimed that the tankers belong
00:54in Russia's Shadow Fleet.
00:57Since the start of Russia's full-fledged invasion of Ukraine more than four years ago, both
