00:00Rapid KL this morning confirmed that one of its trains derailed while passing a railway switch near the Chan Sao
00:06Lin station,
00:08subsequently disrupting services on the Ampang Street pataling line.
00:12In a statement, the rail operators said no injuries were reported.
00:16It said there were 25 passengers on board the LRT when the incident occurred.
00:20They have since been evacuated.
00:24Rapid KL also said its technical team is currently investigating the matter,
00:28while repair works are ongoing.
00:31This morning's incident is the latest in a series of disruptions that have plagued Rapid KL's rail services.
00:38On May 18, the Kalana Jaya LRT line experienced delays due to a technical issue involving a train that was
00:45unable to move.
00:47Rapid KL said alternative train services are being provided,
00:51with trains from Central Timor turning back at the Pudu station
00:54and trains from Putra Heights turning back at the Bandar Tasik Salatang station,
00:58both operating at six-minute intervals.
