00:03Okay, gentlemen, we have been in the racing room.
00:06I don't want to see any other big punches.
00:08Protect yourself at all times.
00:10Touch those, but you come with luck.
00:16All right, so Fomack, one of the great trainers in the world today,
00:20most notably with Terrence Crawford,
00:23has also worked with Keyshawn Davis, Chris Eubank Jr.,
00:26Amir Khan, Jamel Herring, the list goes on and on.
00:29And now he's sharpening his tools with no mercy.
00:33Jamar Talley from Camden, New Jersey, facing the Black Tiger, Fossum Mamdua.
00:40I like how Jamar came out fainting right off the grip and jabbing to the body.
00:44Usually when young fighters do that, not even young fighters,
00:46he's thinking up even though he's going down, and usually it's vice versa.
00:51That's a great physique for the cruiserweight division as well.
00:55I love the faints.
00:58The more of that, continue to do more of things.
01:00You know, some people view the cruiserweight division as kind of a stopgap
01:03from light heavyweight to building up to be a heavyweight.
01:05I wonder if Talley's going to stay at cruiserweight for a long time or make the jump.
01:09Well, you can tell he's got some weight on him, even if he's a cruiserweight.
01:12He's not like a short guy, but he's not extremely tall either.
01:16You know what I mean?
01:17I really like how he jabbed into the body.
01:19He continued to do more of that.
01:20And the reason why he's jabbed into the body so much, Ty, is because eventually the right
01:24hand is going to come over the top.
01:26So he's basically setting it up.
01:27He's decoying down.
01:28He's putting the attention of his offense down so his opponent could think down, so then
01:32he could eventually come up with a right hand or a left hook.
01:35This one may not last long because Talley looks really sharp.
01:39Look at that combination.
01:43And look how he hitting with a good shot.
01:44But look how Talley get back to his jab, Ty.
01:47He gets right back to his jab after his big shot slam from his offense.
01:50Look, he get back to his jab.
01:52He get back to his jab to the body, to the head.
01:56And you can tell Mokdu is trying to time him with that right hand.
02:01Maybe Talley becomes a little overaggressive.
02:09I'm not sure this is going to make it out of the first round.
02:12One of those big power shots from No Mercy could be the end of Mokdu.
02:18Good body shot by Talley.
02:19He did that off of the up jab.
02:22He's still jabbing down to the body.
02:23Even though he has had some good moments with his offense, he's not forgetting the real
02:28estate of jabbing to the body.
02:30Good left hook right hand right there.
02:31Mokdu is leaving that chin in the air, kind of stuck in no man's land.
02:35Still hopeful that overhand right lands with Talley's coming in.
02:39That's the only shot it seems that he's got.
02:42I love how Jamal Talley is staying dedicated to that jab to the chest, that jab to the bottom.
02:48He's not getting greedy, but he's keeping his opponent down.
02:51Now he's bringing the jab to the head.
02:53Now he's doing the jab from an up jab position, like from his hip.
02:57He's bouncing and moving as well.
03:03He's working the free hand in there.
03:05Ty, whenever you see young fighters doing stuff like that, working their free hand during the
03:09clinch, that's them letting the ref know, I'm here to fight, I'm not here to hold.
03:13That's them letting the judges know, I'm here to fight, I'm not here to clinch.
03:16And it's just good signals, you know, to give off to not just the judges, but the crowd and
03:21the referee.
03:21Yeah, we saw earlier a referee took a point for holding right away, so these Egyptian referees
03:26not playing around.
03:30It was a good round for Jamal Talley right there.
03:33Stuck with his jab, put the jab everywhere, to the head, to the chest, to the torso.
03:38We're going to see him pick it up the next round.
03:45There's the scene, the golden hour here in Cairo, Egypt.
03:50It's been a fantastic week, punctuated by great weather tonight.
03:53Thought it might be blistering hot.
03:55No, no, no.
03:56Nice little cool breeze coming through here.
03:58Some clouds blocking the sun.
04:00And we kicked the night off with this fight.
04:04Coming up next, Lapin versus Bendis Tani.
04:06Break this one down, Malik.
04:08Oh, it's a great fight.
04:09I did some work with Lapin in Dubai for Alexander Usyk when he was fighting Anthony Joshua
04:14in the second time.
04:15Lapin is a hard worker.
04:16He didn't have a good performance against Edmondson, but he came back after that a couple
04:20months ago and had a first-run knockout, and I think that was the best performance of
04:23his career.
04:23We're going to see if he can do the same thing tonight.
04:25Yeah, Daniel Lapin, a perfect 13-0 taking on Tani, who's 9-1.
04:31That'll be the first fight of our main card coming up at the top of the hour.
04:35Make sure to go to DAZONE.com.
04:38Purchase his pay-per-view today.
04:40There's a jab right hand.
04:41Good stuff here from the American.
04:44You hear what Bommack is telling him.
04:46He's saying, take your time.
04:46Even though you just landed some good offense, take your time.
04:49Because he knows.
04:50You hear Bommack saying, take your time.
04:51Because he knows the more you take your time, the more you see, the more opportunity that
04:55you're able to take advantage of with your own offense.
04:59You know, it's kind of a fine line.
05:00You know this better than me.
05:01Between take your time and you've wasted too much time when you have a guy in trouble.
05:06Absolutely.
05:07And then the more and more you fight, especially on the professional rings, you have a better
05:11feel of that, like, okay, I can rush it now.
05:13I'm going to continue to take my time.
05:14The more and more you're in the ring, the more and more you have a better feel with
05:17those type of things.
05:22Jamar Talley looking slick.
05:24Has power.
05:29Whereas, he's trying to find something to do here to get some positive energy.
05:33I love how Jamar Talley is working the freehand during the clinch.
05:36And that's a signal.
05:37What else is he saying?
05:38Oh, good vibes.
05:39Another one.
05:40Ryan McIntyre shouting his approval.
05:43He wants the big man to go downstairs again.
05:46He's hitting his opponent with a good body shot, but he's not getting over anxious.
05:50He got his lead hand down, which means he's going to start doing up jabs from here.
05:53Okay, he picked it up now.
06:00You can see the amateur pedigree in Jamar Talley, too, because look how he's just taking
06:03his time when he got his opponent hurt.
06:05He's not in the rush.
06:06He's done this so many times.
06:07Oh, boy.
06:08I don't think Matua can take much more.
06:13Good body shot.
06:14He was investing down to that body the whole fight from round one.
06:17It started with the jab to the body, the jab to the chest, and eventually the liver shot.
06:21And he's not going to make it up.
06:23Jamar Talley shows no mercy to his seventh opponent and gets his sixth knockout.
06:30How do you like it, Malik?
06:32He did great.
06:33I love how he set it up.
06:34He took his time.
06:35He came out with his jab, and he wasn't just putting his jab just at the head.
06:38Like I said, Todd, he was putting it at his chest, at the torso, and eventually would end
06:43up getting the fight stopped.
06:44The body worked to the jab, but he then was making the investments down there early on
06:48in the fight from round one.
06:49Very impressive.
06:50Now, after seeing that, do you really believe he stopped somebody in four seconds?
06:53I think it's possible.
06:54Absolutely.
06:55It's very believable.
06:56Yes.
06:57Let's see it again.
06:58And the best part about this, he started low and then went high.
07:01Yes.
07:01Cringing shot.
07:02And that's the second time we've seen somebody fold from that shot tonight.
07:05Saltain knocked this guy out with the body shot just like that.
07:08He got himself a knockout with a body shot just like that tonight.
07:10So it's a cringing shot.
07:13Mickey Ward used to—not Mickey Ward.
07:14Yes, Mickey Ward.
07:15It was one of his best shots.
07:16He hurt a Tory got—gotty with it.
07:18Zab, Judah with it.
07:19Anybody he hit with that liver shot, they would just cringe and go down.
07:22Oh, hey, gotty, though.
07:23Remember when he cringed and didn't go down?
07:25It didn't go down, yes.
07:26I mean, that's the warrior.
07:27It was like a movie, right, Todd?
07:28Yeah, it was.
07:28That's the Arturo Gotti.
07:30And a big kiss from Jamar Talley to his trainer.
07:33They make a pretty good partnership, you can tell already.
07:36Yes.
07:36What do you think the future looks like for this young man?
07:38The future is very bright for Talley right now.
07:41All he has to do is continue to listen to Bomek, stay dialed into training, stay focused,
07:46and continue to just do what he did tonight, set things up the proper way behind that good jab.
07:50And you're very familiar with the Cruiserweight division.
07:52Of course, the trainer of Zerdo Ramirez is not that deep of a division.
07:56If he keeps improving, he can be a real factor pretty soon.
07:59Absolutely.
07:59And he's not too far from being a factor now.
08:01He's one of these guys that got under 10 fights, but I'm already impressed with him thus far.
08:06Don't forget, we have some mouthwatering clashes coming later tonight,
08:09including Jack Catterall versus Chakram Diazoff in a showdown for the vacant WBA World Welterweight title.
08:14You haven't already purchased Glory in Giza now at DAZN.com slash boxing.
08:22Well, Thomas Schreiber has the mic.
08:24Time for him to officially announce the winner.
08:33Ladies and gentlemen, here is the official time.
08:361 minute 51 seconds of round number two.
08:38Our referee, Andrei Shevalov, reaches the count of 10.
08:44Therefore, your winner by way of knockout and still undefeated,
08:50Jamar No Mercy Talley.
08:56All right, so what would your advice be right now to Jamar Talley as he tries to become a real
09:02contender?
09:03Continue to set all your knockouts and victories.
