00:00:00We're a great team it's been a tremendous period of time for our country and things are going very well
00:00:06number of jobs we have more people working today than we've ever had before in the history of our country
00:00:11and
00:00:12many other things and I have a few words to say to you that
00:00:17I think will be helpful and last night was incredible not only
00:00:21Texas but so many other places and the numbers were
00:00:24fantastic and they've really been that way for
00:00:27a year
00:00:29if you look it's hundreds of people won and
00:00:33almost nobody didn't win so but last night was very very
00:00:39powerful
00:00:41So I'm thrilled to welcome everyone to the 12th cabinet meeting of our administration and we're doing something that no
00:00:47administration's ever done
00:00:49We're always letting the press join us because we're very open and transparent
00:00:53We like the word transparent but we're more transparent than any
00:00:57any administration in history no to the best of my knowledge press has never been invited ever to a cabinet
00:01:03meeting for any reason
00:01:04at all and
00:01:08It's an honor to have you this team has achieved more than most other administrations achieve in
00:01:13eight years
00:01:15We took the most dangerous unsafe violent and open border in the world
00:01:19Anywhere in the world there's no border like the border we had
00:01:22And created the most secure border in the history of our country we had
00:01:26No people 12 months now. No people reported in the last 12 months
00:01:32came in
00:01:32Illegally zero illegal aliens admitted to the United States in the last 12 months and that's
00:01:37those charts are made by you would say politically unfriendly people and
00:01:42And the reason they don't come in it because nobody comes up because they know that
00:01:46They're going to be turned away and if they get in they're going to be moved out right away, so
00:01:51It's been zero you're the one that do you do the reports
00:01:54I'm actually surprised by the number because I don't know how it can be zero, but
00:01:58They say it's zero for the last 12 months in
00:02:002025 we achieved the largest drop in the murder rate ever recorded so the murder rate was
00:02:06quite high and we we achieved the largest drop in the murder rate ever recorded to the lowest level on
00:02:14125 years. That's the year 1900 and
00:02:17That's despite the fact that many people came in from prisons and from very rough countries and from mental institutions
00:02:24and from lots of other places drug dealers and
00:02:28Others they came in illegally during the Biden administration. We've gotten many of them out
00:02:33But we still have some that we're looking for quite a few that we're still looking for but we've gotten
00:02:37over
00:02:3811,888 murders
00:02:42We're allowed into our country. We've gotten a lot of them out. We've gotten some we put them in jail
00:02:46we don't even trust the country to send them because they'll
00:02:49Come back in maybe we put them in jail
00:02:5411,888 murders more than half of which have committed more than one murder
00:02:58That's what they allowed and they should they can never be forgotten for the horrible things
00:03:03They've done to this country
00:03:05Fentanyl coming across our border is now down by 61%
00:03:0961% and
00:03:12Coming in by water by sea
00:03:14by ocean is down
00:03:1697%
00:03:18Can you imagine?
00:03:20Thanks to our Republican majorities in Congress we passed the largest tax cuts in American history
00:03:26All Democrats voted against the tax cuts
00:03:29putting more money in American's pockets
00:03:31This year the typical family got tax refunds of nearly almost close to five thousand dollars
00:03:38The stock market has set 68 all-time record highs since the election
00:03:43So 68 days we hit all-time highs. We're right there now
00:03:47And the average 401k and that's despite the conflict
00:03:52I don't call it a war I call it a conflict
00:03:55Despite the conflict with Venezuela who no longer has a Navy no longer has an Air Force
00:04:00No longer has a lot of people that were leading the country into very bad places
00:04:07Their leadership is gone
00:04:08Their second rung leadership is gone and we're dealing with their third half of their third because half of their
00:04:14third is gone
00:04:15The average 401k is up almost thirty thousand dollars since I took office
00:04:21So the Americans are benefiting working today. We have the most working and we have 401ks at their all-time
00:04:27high
00:04:29Highest they've ever been
00:04:31And that goes along with the stock market which is the highest it's ever been
00:04:35Under my most favored nation agreements. This is something that I wish the
00:04:39Media would talk about because to me it's one of the biggest things ever to happen in our country
00:04:43Certainly as to
00:04:45Medical anything having to do with medical because drug prices were delivering record-setting discounts on prescription drugs with price
00:04:54differences of
00:04:55400 500 and even 600 percent at the Trump rx.gov
00:05:01We recently added nearly 1,000 low-cost
00:05:04Low-cost generics to the website so
00:05:09We have drugs down 400 500 600 percent now you could say 80 90%
00:05:1470 60 50%
00:05:17Percent if you want there are two ways depends on the way you ask the question
00:05:20But a pill that would sell in Germany or and let's say in London
00:05:26For ten dollars was selling for here for a hundred and thirty dollars
00:05:31And I got the countries to all agree otherwise they would have had to pay big tariffs
00:05:37I don't want to go into it but I had some very interesting discussions
00:05:40They said vehemently no and then when I said that's all right we're going to charge you a 50 percent
00:05:45tariff on everything you sell into America
00:05:47They said well
00:05:48Like we said we'll say yes and every single country agreed
00:05:52And every drug company agreed so we have most favorite nations
00:05:56So we were paying the highest drug prices in the world now. We're paying the lowest drug prices in the
00:06:00world
00:06:01So that pill that I talked about would go from
00:06:03$10 to 20 the world is bigger than the US
00:06:07Hard to believe but it's true
00:06:09So it's not like you cut it in the middle
00:06:11You just had to go up a little bit but a little bit is a doubling of a price so
00:06:16a little bit's a lot
00:06:18So the pill would go from $10 to $20
00:06:22And we'd go from a hundred and thirty dollars to $20
00:06:26Think of that
00:06:28So we would get if you remember some of you were at the news conference
00:06:31I had my first term where I got the prices down one-eighth of a percent one-quarter one-eighth
00:06:36of a percent my first term
00:06:38And I'm so proud of it because prices drug prices hadn't come down in 28 years and I was the
00:06:43first one to do it
00:06:44But now I'm getting them down not one-eighth of a percent. I'm getting them down 400 500 600
00:06:50Or if you want to use it a different way you could say 70 percent 80 percent 90 percent 50
00:06:56percent
00:06:58Nobody's ever seen anything like it and I got that through
00:07:03Well, everybody knew it was taking place but we paid the highest prices anywhere in the world
00:07:08Now we're paying the lowest prices anywhere in the world and the press refuses to write about it
00:07:14I think it's the biggest thing and for healthcare you know so much of it is prescription drug prices and
00:07:19drug prices
00:07:20And with them coming down the health care is going to come down very substantially
00:07:24We recently added nearly 1,000 low-cost generics to as I said and
00:07:29That's you know 1,000 drugs and it's all on and it's this was not a this was not given
00:07:36By me this was given by dr. Oz and Bobby and I you know wasn't sure whether or not I
00:07:42love the idea
00:07:43But they said we want to use trump trump rx.gov is what it is and it's the hottest site
00:07:49I think anywhere on the planet from what I understand Bobby right
00:07:52It's really great people are calling up and they're buying drugs for a fraction for literally a fraction of the
00:07:58price
00:07:58And it should be the biggest story and on that alone we should win the midterms
00:08:03On that alone we should win the midterms
00:08:05But the press doesn't talk about it's the biggest thing to happen in the drug industry ever maybe
00:08:10Ever and the press doesn't even want to write stories about it
00:08:13We made the largest ever investment in US military 1 trillion dollars and we're asking actually for 1.5 trillion
00:08:20For the coming year
00:08:22And we have the strongest military anywhere in the world as you know you saw what we did with
00:08:29Venezuela that worked out very quickly and we were doing really equally as well
00:08:34With but again people don't want to write about it with
00:08:38Iran Iran is very much
00:08:41Intent they want very much to make a deal so far they haven't gotten there that we're not satisfied with
00:08:45it
00:08:45But we will be we will be either that or we'll have to just finish the job
00:08:51But the Navy is gone as I've said a thousand times and Navy is gone their Air Force is gone
00:08:57Everything's gone and
00:08:59They're negotiating on fumes
00:09:01But we'll see what happens
00:09:03Maybe we have to go back and finish it maybe we don't
00:09:06Right now I mean you can speak to Steve Witkoff and Jared
00:09:10They're doing a good job but right now I think
00:09:15It looks like they want to just make a deal they want to they have I don't think they have
00:09:18a choice
00:09:19They're just going back to the internet because they're getting clobbered their economy is
00:09:23In freefall they have 250 percent inflation
00:09:27Their money has no value and their whole
00:09:31Economic system is broken down
00:09:34They thought they were going to outweigh me you know we'll outweigh him he's got the midterms
00:09:38I don't care about the midterms look what happened last night that was the prelude to the midterms
00:09:43People understand it they know that
00:09:45Very simple Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon I'm doing that for the world I'm not doing it just for
00:09:50us
00:09:50And we've had great support from other nations by the way we don't need it
00:09:55At all but we've had great support from other nations
00:09:57The problem is you always get the support when you don't need it when you need it you don't get
00:10:01the support
00:10:02With Operation Epic Fury our warriors are ensuring that the world's
00:10:06Number one state sponsor of terror never obtains a nuclear weapon and they won't
00:10:11Under the leadership of Vice President J.D. Vance very proud of this
00:10:16The White House task force
00:10:18To eliminate fraud is waging war on
00:10:20Waste fraud theft and abuse like nobody's ever seen before
00:10:25He looks like Elliot Ness
00:10:26Do you ever see Elliot Ness?
00:10:28I'm telling you the guys that are up there
00:10:30Rural central casting standing behind
00:10:32What a group of people
00:10:34No it looks like a movie I'm going to make a movie out of it I think
00:10:38And they're finding billions and billions and billions of dollars
00:10:42And I just said that's good he said you haven't seen anything yet
00:10:45Just said that
00:10:46And you know V does really great we'll have a balanced budget without having to do anything
00:10:51This is the kind of money they stole
00:10:54They're crooks they're thieves and I hope that Todd is going to do a real job
00:10:58These are crooked people these are thieves this isn't like a mistake
00:11:03Just talking about one person he got hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars
00:11:09For securing one man for taking care of one elderly man
00:11:13He was a service
00:11:14He got paid millions of dollars for taking care of one man
00:11:18Total crook
00:11:18They're all crooks
00:11:21The Somalians are what they've done to Minnesota
00:11:24The Somalians
00:11:26Crooked as hell
00:11:28Ilan Omar
00:11:29Crooked as hell
00:11:30They're all crooks
00:11:31And we got them
00:11:32We got them
00:11:33Now we're putting the clamps on but boy I tell you that's an impressive group of
00:11:37Guys that you have behind you
00:11:39I was watching that and a couple of very strong women too
00:11:42But I was watching that last night I said I'm proud of you guys
00:11:46In two months we've exposed tens of billions of dollars of defrauded taxpayer money
00:11:51Prosecuted numerous fraudsters Todd
00:11:53And stopped billions of suspicious payments very suspicious
00:11:58Oh you haven't seen anything yet
00:11:59Well you see I'm getting reports from Todd from JD
00:12:03I've never seen anything like it to kind of
00:12:05Just hundreds of billions of dollars were stolen
00:12:11And no other administration would do what we're doing
00:12:13They'd let it go
00:12:15Everybody was getting rich
00:12:17And I think we have a chance to save social security without doing anything to it
00:12:21I just the numbers of fraudulent people on social security
00:12:26People that are 115 years old
00:12:30125 years old
00:12:32Getting payments
00:12:33It's funny I said oh do those payments get turned back
00:12:36No they accept them
00:12:38Somebody's getting the payment
00:12:39It's not a person that's 125 years old
00:12:41But that's the least of it
00:12:43The numbers that we're finding out
00:12:44We have great people at social security
00:12:46We're going to make our social security so strong
00:12:49So so good
00:12:51That you never see anything like it
00:12:54We're going to protect
00:12:54I said right from the beginning we're going to protect our people on social security
00:12:59If the Democrats ever got in you wouldn't have said social security would be bankrupt
00:13:03People wouldn't be getting anything
00:13:05Last week they took down two of the largest Medicaid fraud cases in Minnesota history
00:13:10As well as the largest autism fraud case ever charged by the federal government
00:13:15You saw that with millions of dollars just being stolen
00:13:18Everybody had autism
00:13:20Everybody had autism
00:13:21They said
00:13:23It was incredible actually
00:13:26And I really
00:13:28I mean I've just seen some I see what they're doing
00:13:31You haven't seen anything yet
00:13:33So congratulations JT
00:13:35Be vicious like they are
00:13:38They're violent people
00:13:39They're violent vicious scum
00:13:41Before asking Vice President Vance to speak about these efforts
00:13:45I want to express our tremendous gratitude to our outgoing director of national intelligence
00:13:50Tulsi Gabbard
00:13:51Who's a terrific person actually
00:14:01She's come up with some findings that were pretty good
00:14:05And Tulsi's worked tirelessly to restore trust and focus on the intelligence and with the intelligence community
00:14:12They all respected her
00:14:13They listened to her
00:14:15She gave us leads that were pretty much
00:14:18People thought they were dead and they weren't dead
00:14:20They were right there
00:14:21And she was able to expose a lot of things that we used at the FBI with Cash and with
00:14:26Todd and with JD and everybody else who was amazing
00:14:29She dramatically reformed the office of director of national intelligence
00:14:34And cutting the staff by 40%
00:14:36And she prevented countless terrorists and cartel members from entering the United States
00:14:41She exposed mountains of evidence related to the Russia Russia Russia hoax
00:14:45One of the probably the greatest hoax in the history of our country
00:14:48Although when you look at the fraud coming out
00:14:51There's a lot of them
00:14:52I mean honestly there's a lot of them
00:14:54But the Russia Russia Russia hoax a great hoax
00:14:57A very dangerous hoax too
00:14:58And revoke security clearances of officials involved
00:15:02And she declassified numerous historic documents of special public interest
00:15:07Including related to the JFK and RFK assassinations
00:15:11Which everybody wanted to see
00:15:13And we're now releasing a lot of things having to do with space
00:15:17You know, people are very interested in that
00:15:20It actually became the number one topic
00:15:24We're releasing a lot of information having to do with extraterrestrial things
00:15:31And people are totally fascinated by it
00:15:34It's amazing, I wasn't sure if they would enjoy it
00:15:39It's literally trending number one, can you believe it?
00:15:42So a lot of people out there are like it
00:15:44But we're releasing all of that information
00:15:46And Tulsi, we're praying for you and for your husband
00:15:49Her husband's not feeling great, but he's going to feel great soon
00:15:52You're going to make him, you're going to get him better
00:15:54And he's a wonderful guy
00:15:55So just say hello and thank you for the great work you've done
00:15:58We appreciate it, thank you very much
00:16:01And now I'd like to ask JD to say a few words about the war on fraud
00:16:04Followed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche
00:16:08Who's doing fantastically
00:16:09And Secretary of State Marco Rubio, another one
00:16:12I mean we have great people
00:16:14And Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Central Casting
00:16:17He loves war, I don't like that
00:16:21He's a good man, that one
00:16:23And Scott Besant, you talk about a guy doing a job
00:16:29Been fantastic, thank you Scott, really fantastic
00:16:32And a lot of the success that we're having with other countries
00:16:35Is what you've been able to do and find
00:16:38And SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler
00:16:41And all of the people here have been great
00:16:42We're going to just do those few
00:16:44And maybe if you have some questions we'll go to others
00:16:47But everybody around here has got a lot to say
00:16:49But we did that once and it lasted for like four or five hours
00:16:54It was a little much, we want to be open
00:16:56Now if I do it this way they'll say he didn't let anybody talk
00:17:01But let's start with J.D.
00:17:03And you can talk about a really, really important thing
00:17:06Bringing our country back to honesty
00:17:09A tremendous amount of money is involved
00:17:11Go ahead, thank you
00:17:12Yes sir, well first of all
00:17:14Thank you for your leadership sir and for making it possible
00:17:16I often find in the Fraud Task Force
00:17:19That there sometimes are barriers that we need to break down
00:17:21Agencies that need to coordinate
00:17:22And I'll come to the President and say
00:17:24Mr. President, I need your permission to do
00:17:26It'll say for what, for the Fraud Task Force
00:17:28And it'll cut me off and say yes, go do it
00:17:29So the fact that we have dedicated presidential leadership
00:17:33Is really what's made this possible
00:17:34Because it does require, we've got great people around the table
00:17:37But sometimes these agencies don't know how to work together at the lower level
00:17:41And that's one of the things we've had to turn on and force with the Fraud Task Force
00:17:44So I want to shout out just a few all-stars here
00:17:47Linda at the Department of Education has been amazing at finding student loan fraud
00:17:51You've got people who are either illegal aliens
00:17:53Or aren't even actually real human beings
00:17:56Who are getting hundreds of millions of dollars from the Department of Education for student loans
00:18:00We have cut that off, we've found a lot
00:18:02We're going to find a lot more
00:18:04Scott at HUD has been amazing because a lot of the fraud that we see is housing fraud
00:18:08People claiming benefits that they're not entitled to
00:18:10Or again, sir, sometimes completely made up people
00:18:13Who exist purely to collect fraud, fraudulent money from the American taxpayer
00:18:18Brooke at the Department of Agriculture
00:18:20Something I had no idea until I started this work, sir
00:18:23That we send hundreds of billions of dollars to the states to administer the food stamp program
00:18:28The federal government has no insight into whether those food stamps are going to people who are legally entitled
00:18:34Or whether those people actually even exist
00:18:36And so we're working on a number of mechanisms to actually force the states to verify that the people who
00:18:42receive these benefits are actually entitled to them
00:18:45And I could go down the list, I've gotten a lot of support from a lot of people in this
00:18:49room
00:18:50Bobby Kennedy and Dr. Oz have been particular all-stars on this
00:18:54And Kim at H&HS
00:18:56What they've done with the Medicaid fraud
00:18:58We've found tens of billions of dollars in Medicaid and Medicare fraud
00:19:02Just from their hard work
00:19:03We've cut that off, and yes, Mr. President, we're going to find a lot more
00:19:06The final thing I want to say, Mr. President, and I know that Todd maybe has something to say about
00:19:11this as well
00:19:13But I always try to remind the American people and certainly remind the Cabinet officials
00:19:17By the way, Kelly at SBA has found tens of billions of dollars that were from fraudulent loans that were
00:19:22giving under the Biden administration
00:19:23And we've now cut that off and recovered a lot of that money
00:19:26So this has been a whole of government effort, Mr. President
00:19:29The team really deserves a great deal of credit here
00:19:31But the final point I want to make, sir, is I always try to remind the American people that fraud
00:19:35is fundamentally a crime with two victims
00:19:37The most obvious victim are the American taxpayer
00:19:40They pay their taxes, they expect the money to go where it should go
00:19:43And that's not happening because of the fraudsters
00:19:46But there are also victims, people who benefit from these programs that don't exist
00:19:51If we're not actually taking care of the fraud issue
00:19:54And let me just give one example to build on something you said earlier, sir
00:19:57One of the people that Todd just prosecuted was a person who was collecting a lot of money from the
00:20:03American taxpayer
00:20:03To take care of elderly citizens
00:20:06People who worked their entire lives, paid their taxes, should have had dignity and nobility in old age
00:20:11But it was deprived from them from fraudsters who say that they're taking care of them
00:20:15Who collect a check to take care of them, but then abuse and neglect these people
00:20:20And particularly one man who died because he wasn't getting adequate care
00:20:25And that guy was still collecting benefits to take care of a person who he had completely neglected
00:20:30So not only do you have an American taxpayer who's paying into these programs
00:20:35You have an elderly citizen deprived of his dignity because we're not going after the fraudsters
00:20:40Well, now we are
00:20:41How much money did he get?
00:20:42Sir, hundreds of thousands of dollars, maybe more than that
00:20:45But we think that that exact type of fraud has been replayed all over our country
00:20:50That particular case was outside of Minneapolis
00:20:52We expect that there are tens of thousands of people who are collecting fraudulent money
00:20:58To take care of people and they're not actually taking care of them
00:21:01We're of course going to get to the root of as much of it as we can
00:21:04But again, sir, it's been, I wouldn't say fun
00:21:07Because you find out how much people have been taken advantage of
00:21:11But it's certainly very good and valuable work
00:21:14So thank you for giving me the opportunity to do it
00:21:15Well, thank you very much
00:21:16Yes, sir
00:21:17Attorney General, please
00:21:19I'll just continue to talk about what the Vice President was just talking about
00:21:22The way that we are actually, it's one thing to uncover fraud
00:21:27Which we've done and that's part of it
00:21:30But it's also prosecuting the bad guys that are doing it
00:21:32And stopping it from continuing
00:21:35And that's where you have, everybody in this room has inspector generals
00:21:38And for many years, these really hard working law enforcement members would identify fraud
00:21:43And nobody did anything about it
00:21:46DOJ prosecuted it but spent very little resources on that
00:21:48So what we've done just in the past 51 days
00:21:51Over 400 law enforcement actions in this country related to major fraud
00:21:57That's search warrants, that's arrests, that's convictions, that's indictments that are filed
00:22:02And that's just 51 days
00:22:03And it's not just the great prosecutors
00:22:06It's the FBI agents, it's DHS and HSI agents
00:22:09It's everybody in this room that has inspector generals that are now
00:22:13They have been freed up
00:22:14And it's because of you, it's because of the Vice President saying
00:22:18This is going to be a priority of what we are going to do
00:22:20Not just the Department of Justice
00:22:22Even though we're the prosecutors that are putting bad guys in jail
00:22:24It's also the law enforcement at every agency, FBI and DHS
00:22:30And so we're already seeing results
00:22:31We had a $1 billion fraud, a conviction at trial last week out of Florida
00:22:37And this was an organization that was stealing from senior citizens in Florida
00:22:42Duping them, there were call centers set up in the Philippines
00:22:44And they were duping them to buy medical equipment that they didn't need
00:22:48That they would never get, and that the taxpayers paid for
00:22:50And so that's a good win
00:22:53We arrested 15 guys in Minnesota last week
00:22:57The Vice President mentioned one of them
00:22:58These are people that are not, they are just stealing
00:23:01And many of them are here illegally
00:23:03And so you have people who are in this country illegally
00:23:05Who are then taking advantage, and the Vice President says something a lot that resonates with me
00:23:10The generosity of the American people, the generosity of everybody in this room, the leadership
00:23:16To take care of the people in this country that are the most, that deserve it the most
00:23:20Children who are supposed to get food at school, and you have men just stealing, taking that money
00:23:25And so that's what we're focused on
00:23:29We are standing up, as you know Mr. President, you allowed us to stand up a new division at the
00:23:34Department of Justice
00:23:35It's our entire existence of that division, is to combat what we're talking about
00:23:39And then every U.S. Attorney's Office is now focused on it as well
00:23:43So this is something that will result in a better place for every citizen in this country
00:23:48And save money, a lot of money, and also it's the right thing to do for our tax dollars, Mr.
00:23:55President
00:23:55And billions of dollars was given out just very quickly before Biden left office
00:24:01Billions and billions were given out
00:24:03And I mean, I know of many cases, but one, I don't know what's happened with it
00:24:08But I think you're looking at it, I know Lee was involved in it, environmentally
00:24:12Stacey Abrams was given $2 billion for an account that had $103 in environmental fraud, I guess
00:24:21And she had $103 in this newly opened account
00:24:25And before leaving business, they put $2 billion into the account
00:24:31And they had no reason for existence, they were unable to say what they did with it
00:24:35$2 billion
00:24:35Lee, do you want to just mention something about that?
00:24:38Well, thanks to your leadership, Mr. President, that was cancelled
00:24:42And they no longer have access to that $2 billion
00:24:45These won my gal, they wanted that money
00:24:49Go ahead
00:24:49In fact, it was over $29 billion that has now been cancelled at EPA
00:24:56You told us to make it a priority
00:24:57Now this happened as soon as you came in
00:25:00After the election, before your inauguration
00:25:03They were caught on video
00:25:05Saying that they were rushing to get billions of dollars out the door
00:25:08Before you're swearing in
00:25:09Because they were afraid that once you were sworn in, you were going to stop it
00:25:13Well, that part, they were right
00:25:14We did
00:25:15We did
00:25:18We're happy to do it, Mr. President
00:25:22The Department of Justice under Todd Blanche's leadership
00:25:26They just secured another big win in the appeals court
00:25:29On some recently cancelled grants for different agencies
00:25:32So great attorneys making sure that this accountability is delivered over the finish line
00:25:40It's been a great team effort
00:25:41And we're building more, most importantly
00:25:44We're building more factories and plants in the United States now
00:25:47Than at any time ever before
00:25:49$18 trillion coming in
00:25:51That's not including the 12th month
00:25:53That's $11
00:25:54And I say it often that the Biden administration had much less than $1 trillion
00:25:58And we have $18 trillion
00:26:00And when those numbers, those final numbers come up, they'll be even higher than that
00:26:04That's a record in the history of the world
00:26:06No country has ever done that
00:26:08And that money is going into plants
00:26:10And you are giving them very fast approvals
00:26:13Thorough and environmentally correct
00:26:15But fast approvals
00:26:16And you're doing a fantastic job
00:26:17Thank you very much
00:26:18Another man doing a fantastic job, I think we all agree, is Marco
00:26:23You're all over the place, right?
00:26:24I watched you last night in three different locations
00:26:27So, tell us about Iran
00:26:29Well, first of all, the bottom line is Iran's never going to have a nuclear weapon
00:26:33And if recent events have done anything is just remind us once again that they are the world's leading sponsor
00:26:38of terrorism
00:26:39And they can never have a nuclear weapon
00:26:41Now the President's preference, Mr. President, your preference has told us repeatedly, is always to negotiate these things and to
00:26:47figure out if you can have agreements
00:26:48Diplomacy is always the first option
00:26:50And we continue to work on that through your envoys, Mr. Woodcoff and Kushner and others, the Vice President, who
00:26:56have been very involved
00:26:57And if there's an agreement to be made, we want that to be made, I think there's been some progress
00:27:01and some interest
00:27:02And we'll see over the next few hours and days whether progress could be made
00:27:05I just want to remind everybody, Mr. President, you know this well, you have other options available to you if
00:27:10that doesn't work
00:27:11But the bottom line is that we prefer the negotiated diplomatic route, and we're going to give it every chance
00:27:17to succeed
00:27:17I know you're giving it every chance to succeed, Mr. President, but here's the bottom line
00:27:21Because I keep getting asked, what is this all about?
00:27:22It's very simple, Iran and these people in charge of Iran can never have a nuclear weapon
00:27:27And they will never have a nuclear weapon, and they most certainly will not have one
00:27:30As long as you're President of the United States, on that point it's very clear
00:27:34Just two quick things I want to touch upon
00:27:36One, you touched upon the border and security
00:27:38Part of securing our border is dealing with the people that are in this country unlawfully
00:27:43Many of whom do not want to go back to the country that they originally came from
00:27:47For a variety of reasons, either we can't send them there or some judge ties us up
00:27:50And one of the key things we have achieved is now 20 countries have signed third country national agreements
00:27:56Meaning these are safe countries where individuals who refuse to go back to their country of origin
00:28:00Can be sent to that country instead
00:28:02We've got 20 countries now around the world who have signed agreements that allow us to deport people to those
00:28:08places
00:28:08What often happens when you go to the person who's here unlawfully and say, we're going to send you to
00:28:13this third country
00:28:14Is all of a sudden they decide they'd rather go back to their home country instead
00:28:18So it gives the ability to enforce all laws and we work very closely with the Department of Homeland Security
00:28:22on that front
00:28:23Something else that I know is concerning people, because it's on the news, is Ebola
00:28:28Our number one obligation, you know, we're involved in foreign policy, but even our foreign policy
00:28:32The number one priority of our foreign policy is to protect the American people
00:28:35We cannot and will not allow any cases of Ebola to enter the United States
00:28:40And so we're very, the State Department and other agencies represented here
00:28:44The Centers for Disease Control, HHS, others, are working very, very hard to contain this crisis to the countries where
00:28:51it's currently located
00:28:52Particularly the Democratic Republic of the Congo
00:28:54And so we've surged assistance to make sure that that is being contained there
00:28:59And obviously multiple agencies involved here are also very involved in tracking people
00:29:04Just to make sure that nobody comes into this country that has Ebola and creates a problem for us
00:29:08And we feel like we've got good efforts in place to do that
00:29:11And Americans should feel assured that the President and his administration is doing everything we can to protect them on
00:29:17that front
00:29:17My last point, you said I was all over the place
00:29:19One of the places I stopped in last night was to initial the Trump route for prosperity in Armenia
00:29:26This is a key linchpin of the peace deal that you were able to achieve between Armenia and Azerbaijan
00:29:32And in addition to that, we also signed a critical minerals, MOU with them, and a strategic engagement one as
00:29:38well
00:29:39So just a reminder of another war you helped settle, Mr. President
00:29:43But from that, now we are seeing the emergence of a great new relationship with Armenia
00:29:48That really had grown stagnant for a very long period of time
00:29:51So we're doing well on that front as well, thank you
00:29:54And could I just ask you, Cuba and Venezuela, what's going on there?
00:29:58Well, interesting, on Venezuela, that process continues, that three phase process, you know, of obviously stabilization, recovery, and transition
00:30:07I would just say, just since January 3rd of this year, okay, and I think this number is right
00:30:11And Chris or Doug can correct me on this
00:30:14But I think over 10 million barrels of Venezuelan oil have been delivered to the United States since the 3rd
00:30:20of January
00:30:20That industry is being professionalized for the first time ever
00:30:24It's going to the benefit of the Venezuelan people
00:30:26They are selling oil in the market at market rates
00:30:28The money is going to an account in the United States, controlled and monitored by Treasury, audited by KPMG
00:30:35And it's for the first time ever, the money is not being stolen
00:30:38It's going to the benefit of the Venezuelan people
00:30:41Cuba's in a lot of trouble, because unfortunately for them, it's run by a bunch of incompetent communists
00:30:46And being communist is bad, being an incompetent communist is like the worst
00:30:51And, but the country's been taken over by this company called Gaesa
00:30:54That basically controls 70% of the economy
00:30:57None of the money in that company goes to help the Cuban people, none of it
00:31:01So we'll be talking to them, we'll be working on it, you know, we want something good for the Cuban
00:31:06people
00:31:06And hopefully there'll be a good outcome there for them, there needs to be
00:31:09It's 90 miles from our shores
00:31:10And having a failed state 90 miles from our shores is a threat to the national security of the United
00:31:17States
00:31:18So we're producing right now more oil by double than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined
00:31:24There's never been anything like that
00:31:26We have, we don't need oil, we don't need the straits, we don't need anything
00:31:30But we have more oil now being produced by double, by two times than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined
00:31:38Great, a great state
00:31:40Do you want to say something about that?
00:31:42Well, I would, President Trump, under your leadership
00:31:44We've opened up lease sales on public land
00:31:48This is land that was put away for the benefit and the use of the American people
00:31:52Like the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in Alaska
00:31:55The Biden administration had illegally stopped holding lease sales during their administration
00:32:00President Trump famously said, drill baby drill, but before you can drill, you've got to open public lands
00:32:07Between the lease sales that have happened in the Permian, in the Bakken, and on the North Slope
00:32:14Just since January of this year, it's over $4 billion of revenues come into the Treasury
00:32:20That's 13 times more than the Biden administration brought in on lease sales in the entire four years that are
00:32:26in office
00:32:28Sir, your policies brought that in in five months
00:32:30So with that, a lot of excitement, a lot of activity
00:32:33We also inherited, just in one district in Carlsbad, New Mexico
00:32:395600 unprocessed applications to drill for oil and gas on public land
00:32:44And when we're drilling on public land, those companies pay a royalty
00:32:48And that money comes to all of our citizens, and it goes to local school districts, and it goes to
00:32:53states
00:32:53It is the core of the economy in parts of our country
00:32:57The team down there, working for the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management, has dropped that by 91%
00:33:03It's one of the reasons why they had a record lease sale
00:33:05It's because now people go, I can bid on federal land, and I'm going to get a permit to drill
00:33:09And it's not going to take me five years to get it, I'm going to get it in a month
00:33:13or less
00:33:13And so it's exciting to see your vision, and of course, with this energy dominance
00:33:20Us, as you noted, largest oil producer in the world, largest natural gas producer in the world, largest natural gas
00:33:26exporter
00:33:27This is an opportunity for us to bring prosperity and affordability here at home, but also bring priests abroad
00:33:33So, President Trump, your energy dominance strategy with Chris Wright, Lee Zeldin, all the people that are working on this
00:33:40People around the room, you know, it's been really incredible
00:33:43And of course, you mentioned Venezuela, but all that flowing to our Gulf Coast refineries is also helping to keep
00:33:50the price of gas down at home
00:33:51So, again, it's an amazing transformation
00:33:54Bottom line is, the center of geopolitics around energy has moved from other parts of the world to the western
00:34:02hemisphere
00:34:03In the last five months, you turn Venezuela from a sanctioned adversary into a strategic ally in 45 minutes
00:34:10Never happened in history before
00:34:12And what's going on in Alaska
00:34:15When I was there last week in Alaska in the North Slope
00:34:1780,000 barrels a day coming online at PICA
00:34:20That wouldn't have happened with you
00:34:21It's up by Willow on the North Slope
00:34:23That's going into the Alaska pipeline
00:34:2620% increase just off that one field
00:34:29So, amazing work
00:34:31Energy is a high-tech industry
00:34:33And those guys are crushing it
00:34:34And they're loving the fact that they can provide affordable, reliable, secure energy for America
00:34:40And we're working very hard in California
00:34:42You know, a lot of people don't know this
00:34:44But California has tremendous, tremendous oil reserves
00:34:47Used to be number three in the nation
00:34:49And the radical left has just wiped it out
00:34:52And we're working very hard to get that open again and get it
00:34:55So the people, their gasoline prices, their lack of energy is just staggering
00:35:02It's staggering
00:35:02And we're actually making very good progress
00:35:05Even people that were against that at one point
00:35:07Now they're saying, wow, that would be great
00:35:09But people don't realize it was one of the
00:35:10Right, Chris?
00:35:11It was one of the top drilling states
00:35:14One of the, I would say in terms of reserves
00:35:17As among the top in the country
00:35:19Nobody thinks of that with California
00:35:20Everything was just closed down
00:35:22Really violently closed down
00:35:25And we're opening up some of it
00:35:27And we're being met with actually great spirit
00:35:30Because they're paying so much for gasoline
00:35:32They don't have to be doing that
00:35:34And they have a very incompetent group of leaders
00:35:37Like grossly incompetent
00:35:39So I think that's going to be something
00:35:41On a slightly smaller subject
00:35:42While Doug was speaking, Department of Interior
00:35:45He and his people have done a fantastic job on D.C.
00:35:48D.C. is looking beautiful
00:35:50The fountains are almost all open
00:35:51We had 28 of them
00:35:53And we have one in particular
00:35:55A very long lake, we call it
00:35:57A reflecting lake
00:35:58Between the Lincoln Monument
00:36:02Nobody has ever seen anything like it
00:36:04The, you take a look at
00:36:06Between Lincoln and Washington
00:36:08You have the longest, like 2,400 feet long
00:36:11That's longer than the tallest building in the world
00:36:13If you set it on the side
00:36:15And it's almost 200 feet wide
00:36:16And for, actually it was built in 1922
00:36:19And from 1922 on it really never worked
00:36:22It always leaked and it was a problem
00:36:25A lot of things
00:36:26Hundreds of millions were spent
00:36:28And the Biden administration
00:36:29And the Obama administration
00:36:31Spent hundreds of millions of dollars
00:36:33Trying to get it to work
00:36:34And they failed
00:36:36And we'll be spending, you'll give me a number
00:36:38But I think it's a very low number
00:36:40It's like in the number that we originally talked about
00:36:43Where we cleaned it, we fumigated it
00:36:48We had 10 major truck dumpsters of garbage taken out
00:36:54Can you believe it?
00:36:55A friend of mine came in
00:36:56A very substantial person from Germany
00:36:59Wanted to see the Washington Monument
00:37:02Wanted to see the Lincoln Memorial
00:37:04He said, I look, but
00:37:06That horrible reflecting pond is disgusting
00:37:09It's filthy, dirty and disgusting
00:37:11I said, really?
00:37:12I drove down, I said, Secret Service
00:37:13Let's take a drive
00:37:14And we went down, I said, that's terrible
00:37:17And for the most part it didn't work
00:37:19I mean, they wouldn't even have water in there
00:37:20But when they did, it was just dirty, filthy water
00:37:22That leaked out
00:37:24And we got to work on it
00:37:26And it was supposed to cost almost 400
00:37:28Think of it, 400 million dollars
00:37:30Because it's like putting the skin on a skyscraper
00:37:33But bigger, much bigger
00:37:36Many skyscrapers, you could almost say
00:37:38Other than for the world's tallest
00:37:39Think of it, the world's tallest skyscraper
00:37:41Is shorter than 2,400 feet
00:37:44So we went to work
00:37:47And over the years I built hundreds of pools
00:37:50I built them every time I built them
00:37:52I always like to build Olympic-sized swimming pools
00:37:54And I was very aware of swimming pool
00:37:57What goes into making a swimming pool
00:37:59It's not as simple as people think
00:38:01You never want it to leak, you want a beautiful surface
00:38:03And I said, you know, I have an idea, Doug
00:38:06We sat down, I said, let's take that long thing
00:38:11Well, we're going to fix it with concrete, which leaks
00:38:14Concrete, all sorts of other materials
00:38:16That all leak and don't look good
00:38:18They're gray
00:38:19And, you know, swimming pool
00:38:22I have a swimming pool right up the road
00:38:24I built it 22 years ago, it's perfect
00:38:25I said, does it ever leak?
00:38:27No, it's perfect, good contractors
00:38:30I actually called in a couple of the contractors
00:38:32Got some ideas from them
00:38:34And I gave it to Doug
00:38:35And Doug's done an unbelievable job
00:38:37And so they were going to spend maybe $400 million
00:38:41I don't know, you never know with cost overruns and everything
00:38:44But it was going to take years to build
00:38:46Three years, four years
00:38:48And we'll have it done before July 4th
00:38:53Substantially before July 4th
00:38:54If we didn't have such bad weather the last four or five days
00:38:57We could have been almost done
00:38:59You can't do this substance in the rain
00:39:02And what they did is they cleaned it
00:39:04They took out, as I said, more than 10 dumpsters of garbage
00:39:10Shovels, it was disgusting
00:39:11Oh, every corner of that
00:39:13Every corner had massive amounts of
00:39:16I guess that's the way the tide goes
00:39:17But they had massive amounts of garbage
00:39:20We then steam cleaned it
00:39:22We then sandblasted it
00:39:25And then we pebble blasted it
00:39:27That's a bigger version of sand
00:39:28We made the surface as good as it can be
00:39:32And we're now covering it with the most beautiful blue
00:39:36Very thick, you think of it as a very sophisticated form of rubber
00:39:41No leaks, no problems
00:39:43And it's beautiful
00:39:44It's called American Flag Blue
00:39:46That was the color we chose
00:39:48And we are probably 70% finished with it
00:39:52It's going to be finished, the hard part's done
00:39:54And then we decided to do much more than we originally
00:39:57When I originally thought I was just going to do the surface
00:39:59But we said the problem is the outer ring looks pretty bad too
00:40:03Where you walk on
00:40:04So we sandblasted that
00:40:06This is all additional work
00:40:08We didn't want to do, you know, when you do something like this
00:40:10When you do the one, you think the other looked okay
00:40:13But then when the other, you see the new surface
00:40:16The old stuff that looked okay looks really bad
00:40:19So we cleaned that, sandblasted it
00:40:22The walkways, all of it
00:40:24Tremendous amount of area
00:40:25Again, it's thousands of feet long, very wide
00:40:30This is where the people stand, not the water part, the dry part
00:40:34And we had a combination of granite and stone
00:40:37And we're pointing it, fixing it
00:40:39The joints were terrible, everything
00:40:41The whole place was a mess
00:40:43And when it opens in a couple of weeks
00:40:47Long before July 4th
00:40:49We want to have it for July 4th weekend
00:40:51But it'll be long before that
00:40:52You will see something that's really going to be beautiful
00:40:55And now we're looking at the World War II fountain
00:40:58Because that's also in pretty bad shape
00:40:59On the bottom, we're going to duplicate it, I think, with the
00:41:04Maybe with a slightly different color, actually
00:41:06We'll go with a lighter color
00:41:07But Doug and I have a lot of fun doing it
00:41:09Your staff is fantastic, they've really worked well
00:41:12But the concept, so think of it
00:41:14Instead of spending two, three, four hundred million dollars
00:41:18And it will never work
00:41:20We're going to spend, like, ten million dollars, maybe
00:41:22Twelve million dollars
00:41:24Instead of spending four years, we're going to spend
00:41:27Like, if you add it all up, like, a couple of months
00:41:30And instead of going through four, 4th of July
00:41:33There's a horrible construction site
00:41:35We're going to have it open before the 4th of July
00:41:38And the difference is it's better
00:41:39Somebody will say, oh, well, but it's not the same
00:41:41You know, some of the fake news will say, well, but it's not
00:41:44No, it's like the pen story
00:41:46The pen is better at $2 than it was at $2,000
00:41:49This is the same thing
00:41:51This is far better
00:41:53Won't leak, it'll last for 50 years
00:41:55Maybe a hundred years, they didn't even know
00:41:57I said, how long will this last?
00:41:59Oh, I think you'll get 50 years out of it
00:42:02We did the swimming pool treatment
00:42:04But they said, sir, for a little more money
00:42:07We can get industrial strength
00:42:10I said, that sounds good to me
00:42:12Same color, same everything, same stuff
00:42:14But it's much, it's actually much stronger
00:42:16It's used for industrial
00:42:18I said, I love that
00:42:19So we're going to have that open
00:42:20It's going to be really, really beautiful
00:42:23And it's a very important thing
00:42:25You know, we can't have people looking at the Washington Monument
00:42:28Going to the Memorial
00:42:31If you take a look, the Lincoln Memorial
00:42:34It was built, I guess, a little after the Lincoln Memorial
00:42:38It's embarrassing
00:42:39It was so horrible
00:42:41I never saw anything like it
00:42:42It was filthy dirty
00:42:44It was Biden
00:42:46And they spent, between the two of them
00:42:49They spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to fix this thing
00:42:54Now, when Biden, when Obama did it
00:42:56He spent way over $100 million
00:42:59And they had a great idea
00:43:00Let's use the water from the Potomac
00:43:03Because environmentally, they liked it
00:43:04Somebody said that was good
00:43:05But the water from the Potomac was not suitable for this
00:43:09To put it mildly, it was disgusting what happened
00:43:11And so they spent hundreds of millions, over $100 million
00:43:15And they immediately closed it
00:43:17It was closed for many months and nobody did anything
00:43:19It was closed, it's basically been closed
00:43:22But go back to 1922
00:43:25It was always sort of, people think of it as beautiful
00:43:27But it was always a mess
00:43:28It's going to be unbelievable, it will be unbelievable
00:43:31It's actually exciting, I want to ride over there today if I can
00:43:34You know, I always have a problem with Secret Service
00:43:36Is in love with my walking along
00:43:39Checking the sidewalk, the new sidewalk
00:43:41To see whether or not they pointed it correctly
00:43:44But they do, we have great contractors doing the job
00:43:46But we'll spend a very tiny amount of money
00:43:48And it'll be better than it ever was when it was built in 1922
00:43:52It's very exciting actually, to me, I love construction
00:43:54It's very exciting, and we do many things
00:43:56We did 28 or 29 fountains
00:43:59I made a contribution to redoing Lafayette Park
00:44:02That's the entrance to the White House
00:44:04And it was an embarrassment
00:44:06The floors were broken
00:44:08They had bricks
00:44:10Some of the bricks were missing
00:44:11You know where they're missing?
00:44:12They took them out to throw at people
00:44:15We're going with them
00:44:16It's going to be a world-class park
00:44:18It'll be open pretty soon, they're doing a lot of work over there
00:44:21That was a contribution that I made with some other people
00:44:24And it's going to be really beautiful
00:44:26That was really the front door to the White House
00:44:28But you couldn't even use it, it was so terrible
00:44:30People would come to the White House
00:44:31And it was so terrible
00:44:33So with that I'm going to ask Pete to talk about some of our great success
00:44:37Yes sir, including Venezuela you might talk
00:44:40Absolutely sir, I think actually your efforts on the reflecting pool
00:44:44Are actually a great segue
00:44:45If you look at Washington and Lincoln
00:44:48These are two men that faced monumental tasks
00:44:50And stood up in historic fashion
00:44:53And delivered for the American people
00:44:54And when you step back and look at 47 years
00:44:57Of what Iran waged war against us and our people
00:45:00There's only one man over the course of both Presidency
00:45:04Who has stood up and said they will never get a nuclear weapon
00:45:07As Marco said
00:45:08So whether it was Qasem Soleimani, whether it was scrapping the Obama deal
00:45:12That was going to give them a weapon
00:45:13Whether it was the 12 day war or Operation Midnight Hammer
00:45:16You created the conditions to ensure the American people and the world
00:45:20Are safeguarded from this generational threat
00:45:22And so when you authorized Operation Epic Fury
00:45:26Just like you talked about with the reflecting pool
00:45:28We didn't do the same old thing the way we'd done it in the past
00:45:31After Iraq and Afghanistan, the way we waged wars
00:45:34Instead you said we're going to do this smart
00:45:36We're going to do it overwhelming
00:45:38We're going to use maximum lethality
00:45:40And we're going to bring them to their knees
00:45:41And so whether it's their Navy that's at the bottom of the Persian Gulf
00:45:44Their Air Force, their air defenses, or their defense industrial base
00:45:48They may have missiles but they can't build more right now
00:45:50And they can't build more drones right now
00:45:52And they can't build more ships
00:45:53And so they came and cried uncle to talk
00:45:56Which Steve and Jared and the Vice President and others are doing so ably
00:46:00And during that time we put in a world class blockade
00:46:04And they haven't been able to bring anything in or anything out from Iranian ports
00:46:08And we know from the intel that their economy is hurting big time
00:46:14Because that is their lifeblood
00:46:15And again, bringing them to the table
00:46:17So whether it is through the efforts of your negotiators
00:46:21That they ensure that they never have a nuclear weapon
00:46:24Or we have to go back to the War Department to finish the job that way
00:46:28We're prepared to do that
00:46:29And I think even our reach on the dark fleet of Iranian tankers
00:46:33No Iranian tanker around the globe is safe
00:46:36And we've seen seizures all around the globe
00:46:37Again, choking off their economic lifeblood
00:46:40But all of this is possible, Mr. President
00:46:42Thanks to the investments that you've made in this department
00:46:46Firing on all cylinders
00:46:48For the second year in a row
00:46:49We're at historic recruitment rates
00:46:52Last year we said that here
00:46:54This year we beat it even faster
00:46:56The American people are excited about what you're bringing to our department
00:46:59Our defense industrial base
00:47:00$50 billion in private investments
00:47:03Because of the meetings you've held
00:47:05Defense manufacturers are investing in new plants
00:47:08And new manufacturing, new production lines
00:47:11So that we're getting weapons faster than ever
00:47:13And then the $1.5 trillion that you've committed to the department going forward
00:47:17That's a million American jobs
00:47:19One million American manufacturing jobs
00:47:22That's Golden Dome for America
00:47:24That's F-47, that's B-21
00:47:26That's $50 billion in drones
00:47:28We're going to lead the world in drones
00:47:31Shaving years off of production of all of those
00:47:34Everything under budget and ahead of schedule
00:47:36Which is what the warfighter deserves
00:47:38And we saw it, you mentioned Venezuela, Mr. President
00:47:40You saw it on display there
00:47:41Think of the fact that our South Com commander
00:47:44Just landed via helicopter at our embassy
00:47:48Peacefully at the welcome of the Venezuelans
00:47:50Because we're now partnering with them, hopefully
00:47:53Even on the counter-cartel mission
00:47:55As we secure our hemisphere
00:47:56So we've secured that southwest border
00:47:58We're going to war with the cartels
00:48:00Through the America's counter-cartel coalition
00:48:04Venezuela's a big part of securing our energy future
00:48:06And defending the homeland
00:48:07And then I just want to note one more thing
00:48:09To give you a sense of how committed this president is
00:48:12Maybe a year ago, he heard the call of Nigerian Christians
00:48:16Who were being targeted and killed by ISIS in Nigeria
00:48:21And he said, Pete, I want the War Department to focus on ensuring
00:48:24That we do everything we can to protect those Christians
00:48:27Partnerships like that can take time behind the scenes
00:48:29But he never wavered on it
00:48:31And we got the assets there
00:48:32And over the last month, and there hasn't been much coverage of this
00:48:35We killed ISIS number 2 in Nigeria
00:48:37Who's most responsible for killing Christians
00:48:39And trying to target the U.S. homeland
00:48:41And have since, because of the intel we gathered
00:48:44Killed hundreds of ISIS members
00:48:46Who were targeting and killing Christians in Nigeria
00:48:49Creating a whole new opportunity there
00:48:51So there's a lot of things we do that the media pays attention to
00:48:53And a lot of things that the president empowers the department to do
00:48:57On behalf of the American people that he deserves great credit for
00:49:00Thank you, great job, great job
00:49:02I just want to say on recruitment
00:49:05We're very proud of the fact that
00:49:06For the previous four years, previous administration
00:49:10They had, I mean, they couldn't recruit people
00:49:13And that included, by the way, police and firemen and others
00:49:16They were not proud of our country
00:49:18And they couldn't recruit anybody with a uniform
00:49:20And was having a hard time recruiting
00:49:21And they set record low numbers
00:49:24They were way, way behind
00:49:26And literally from November 5th it started
00:49:28It started even before we got going
00:49:31But from the time we won the election to now
00:49:34We've had numbers of recruitment
00:49:36The likes of which we've never had
00:49:38Record recruitment in every single branch
00:49:41And that includes police and firemen
00:49:44Record recruitment, so we're very proud of that
00:49:47Thank you, great job, thank you, sir
00:49:48Kelly, please
00:49:49Mr. President, you have made us a nation of builders again
00:49:53You're leading us to the greatest economy that the world has ever known
00:49:56And I see that every week as I travel this country
00:49:59Main streets across dozens of states
00:50:02From Alaska to Maine
00:50:04I've been in many of those states two or three times
00:50:07I hear it everywhere I go
00:50:08Please thank the President for putting us back on track
00:50:12They thank you, they love you, they want more of what we're doing
00:50:16Tax cuts, deregulation, fair trade, energy dominance
00:50:20Small businesses are spring-loaded and we see that in the jobs numbers
00:50:24In the last two months alone
00:50:26We've created over 300,000 private sector jobs in this country
00:50:31Most jobs are created by small businesses, two out of three
00:50:34And small businesses, as you know, make up 99% of all businesses in this country
00:50:39And account for half of our GDP
00:50:40So when that part of the economy is finally working again
00:50:44They've gotten out from $5 trillion of regulation that the Biden administration put on hard-working small businesses
00:50:50They penalized growth, investment, hard work and success
00:50:54But thanks to the working family tax cuts that every single Democrat voted against
00:51:00Hard-working families, the welders, the waitresses that I meet on factory floors
00:51:05Across this country, from Pennsylvania to New Mexico where I'll be tomorrow, Brooke and I are going to Arizona tonight
00:51:12So we see this everywhere we go
00:51:14It's one of the most under-reported stories in the media
00:51:18Main Street is back
00:51:19And that's because America first
00:51:21I'll tell you the other thing about fraud
00:51:24Small businesses are particularly hurt by the fraud
00:51:27Because they're some of our biggest taxpayers in the country
00:51:30And they show up every day
00:51:32They work hard to provide for their employees, to build their businesses
00:51:36They're working, they're doing it the honest way
00:51:38And they see fraudsters taking from the American people
00:51:42It's taxpayer money
00:51:43And so you think about, at the SBA, we found $200 billion in fraudulent PPP loans
00:51:50That the Biden administration tried to hide and forgive and sweep under the rug
00:51:54We've turned the first $22 billion of that over to Treasury for collections and to DOJ for prosecution
00:52:01Our inspector general is already announcing that people are going to jail
00:52:05There are jail sentences now being served
00:52:08We've announced that 140,000 people have been barred from ever getting SBA loans again
00:52:15Defrauding the government for about $9 billion
00:52:17So we are going to continue our work under the great leadership of Vice President Vance
00:52:22And appreciate the partnership because it's really accelerated our ability to get the job done
00:52:28But then just back to small businesses, we have record business formation in this country
00:52:32That's another story that the media won't tell you
00:52:34Over half a million businesses on average a month this year
00:52:38So it's not just record people working, strong job creation, business formation at all time records in this country
00:52:45But we have manufacturing expansion, four consecutive months
00:52:49That's a leading indicator, meaning that we have expansion coming
00:52:54Another story the media won't tell you, 98% of all manufacturers are small businesses
00:52:5875% of our defense industrial base is small business
00:53:03They're our main exporters
00:53:05And so America first, free trade, fair trade, deregulation, tax cuts, and energy dominance
00:53:11Is helping workers on Main Street
00:53:13And that's why they tell me to tell you, Mr. President, thank you and they love you
00:53:18Well, thank you very much, great job, thank you, Kelly
00:53:20And I just say, you know, we went to China last week
00:53:25We had an amazing meeting with President Xi
00:53:27The relationship is very good, we're doing a lot of business with China now
00:53:30But it's not where they were ripping us off
00:53:33For years and years they ripped us off like nobody ever got ripped off
00:53:37Now it's a very profitable business that we do with China
00:53:41And they respect our country again
00:53:43We have the strongest military in the world by far
00:53:45They respect our country again
00:53:46Scott, please
00:53:48Sir, on the economy, two words
00:53:52Resilience and prosperity
00:53:53The continued resilience of the economy speaks for itself
00:53:57Even during the Iran conflict
00:54:00And it speaks to the strength of your leadership
00:54:03Pro-growth policies are creating conditions for American families and businesses to prosper
00:54:08Entering the second half of our 250th anniversary year
00:54:13With renewed optimism and momentum
00:54:15It has never been a better time to be an American
00:54:18And as you said earlier, we have a record number of Americans working
00:54:22The economy that you are building is not only strong, but secure and resilient
00:54:27And better positioned to compete globally
00:54:30Real GDP has risen 2.7% over the past four quarters
00:54:35Something that many economists said couldn't be done
00:54:38In the first quarter of 2026
00:54:41Despite the Iran conflict
00:54:43GDP grew at a 2% annual rate
00:54:46The Atlanta Fed GDP now is predicting 4.3% for this quarter
00:54:51In terms of prices, I believe the prices are transitory
00:54:56Oil will be lower than pre-conflict levels
00:54:59When this ends, natural gas is already down
00:55:01As you mentioned, drug and pharmaceutical prices are plummeting and rent is down
00:55:10We are more resilient to energy price fluctuations due to your energy dominance agenda
00:55:15To regulatory efforts
00:55:17And we have never sold so much energy to the rest of the world
00:55:21Business investment rose at a 10.4% annual rate in the first quarter
00:55:26Capital expenditures and business equipment rose more than 17%
00:55:30And that is as a result of the tax bill and tariffs
00:55:36Jobs related to commercial construction and factory construction are up 90,000 since your inauguration
00:55:42In the past two months, the private sector, as Kelly said, has added 313,000 new jobs
00:55:49And those are private sector jobs, sir
00:55:52Including 13,000 manufacturing jobs
00:55:55We have construction jobs, we're building the factories
00:55:58And those will turn into manufacturing jobs
00:56:00The stock market has hit new highs
00:56:03The stock market lives in the future
00:56:04It is seeing on the other side of this conflict
00:56:07It is a strong symbol of optimism for the future
00:56:11Corporate earnings are high
00:56:12And wages are doing well
00:56:14For the tax season, we had the best tax filing season in history
00:56:19Which is a victory for Main Street
00:56:22The average refund was nearly $3,300
00:56:2611% increase from last tax filing season
00:56:30And importantly, 62 million returns
00:56:33At one of your four signature policies
00:56:36No tax on tips, no tax on overtime
00:56:39The reduced taxes
00:56:4085% of our seniors paid no taxes on Social Security
00:56:45And the deductibility of auto loans for American-made cars
00:56:48For what I believe is the most important government benefit for young people
00:56:56Since the GI Bill
00:56:57The Trump accounts, the app will be available on all major platforms tomorrow morning
00:57:03And it will place the American dreams into the palms of the hands of parents and children
00:57:10Nearly 6 million kids have been signed up for Trump accounts
00:57:14And they will launch on July 4th
00:57:16And it will be a great symbol of the 250th anniversary
00:57:21Main Street prosperity workers have seen positive wage gains
00:57:25The unemployment rate remains low at 4.3%
00:57:29And private sector job growth is strong
00:57:32So just to reiterate, resilience and prosperity have been the marks of your second term
00:57:40It's been great, it's been amazing, excellent
00:57:43Any questions?
00:57:45Thank you, Mr. President
00:57:46Thank you, Mr. President
00:57:47I always tell with MTV Sister Media with the Epoch Times
00:57:49There's been a lot to clean up DC and fight crimes here
00:57:53And as a lot of Americans and people from all around the world
00:57:56Are coming to the nation's capital
00:57:57Ahead of the major 250th birthday events here
00:58:01How important is it for you to really keep delivering on these results
00:58:05But also, what does it mean for America's identity on the national and international stage?
00:58:09So I'm very proud of DC because when we came here
00:58:12A little more than a year ago
00:58:15It was a very dangerous place
00:58:17And now it's a very safe place
00:58:19It's been incredible what's happened
00:58:21As you see the crime numbers
00:58:23We had restaurants closing up
00:58:25And nobody wanted to go to a restaurant
00:58:27They were afraid to walk to work
00:58:29It was a very dangerous place
00:58:31Very unsafe
00:58:33And now it's a very safe place
00:58:34Yes, we brought in the National Guard
00:58:36We worked with Cash and the FBI
00:58:39And Janine is doing fantastically
00:58:41And Todd and everybody
00:58:42And it's now a very safe city
00:58:45And people are pouring in
00:58:46And you see the grass is all beautiful
00:58:48We put a lot of new grass in
00:58:49Because, you know, like people, grass has a life too
00:58:52On this grass
00:58:53It was about a long time
00:58:55But we, the waterfalls we talked about
00:58:58And the fountains
00:59:00Most of them are in the final stages
00:59:03Orphex
00:59:03People are writing me letters
00:59:04People are talking about it
00:59:06They're all
00:59:06We have some of the most beautiful fountains in the world
00:59:09And there wasn't one, not one, that worked
00:59:13We had 29
00:59:13Out of the 29, not one was worked
00:59:17In addition to the reflecting pool
00:59:18Which is even, you know, that was the big one of them all
00:59:21But that was a disaster
00:59:23So, with all of that, and we, this place is looking beautiful
00:59:28I wrote through it yesterday
00:59:30The fences are down
00:59:32The homeless aren't staying here any longer
00:59:34We have, we're helping them out
00:59:35But we're not, you know, we just can't have them in the nation's capital
00:59:39And when foreign dignitaries come in, they're saying
00:59:42The first thing they say to me, this place has really changed
00:59:46They, they saw that it was going down
00:59:48Our whole country was going down just like D.C. was going down
00:59:52And as you know, the restaurants were closing up
00:59:54There weren't very many restaurants
00:59:56And now they're opening up, you can't get a space
00:59:59And everyone's going out to dinner and they're safe
01:00:01And we have the national security and we have the national guard
01:00:03And we're going to keep them
01:00:06You know, I want to, by the way, just in case I mentioned
01:00:09Keep them
01:00:10And don't lower the number either
01:00:13Somebody said, oh, are there less?
01:00:14I said, I hope not, but don't lower the number if you don't mind, okay?
01:00:18We're going to surge this summer, too
01:00:19They look great
01:00:21You know what? They give people
01:00:23We have, we took out 5,000 criminals, hardcore criminals
01:00:27By the way, 90% of the crime is calculated
01:00:322% of the people do 90% of the crime
01:00:36That's a great number
01:00:38Because when you get rid of 2%, 2% you can get rid of
01:00:4190% you can't get rid of, 2%
01:00:43So 2% create 90% of the crime, 91% actually, to be exact
01:00:48And we have really, we moved 5,000 people out of here
01:00:52These are career criminals
01:00:54Many of them came over from the last administration through the open border
01:00:58The ridiculous open border
01:01:00No vetting, nobody knew who they were
01:01:02They came out of prisons, they came out of, they're drug dealers
01:01:05There were people from mental institutions
01:01:07And Washington, D.C. is now a safe and beautiful place
01:01:11And it's only going to get more beautiful
01:01:12Yeah, please
01:01:13Mr. John, thank you so much for having us in here today
01:01:15What are your thoughts, why do you think that Joe Biden
01:01:17Was trying to sue this government of justice
01:01:20Former President Joe Biden
01:01:21To have his tapes that he did interviews on
01:01:24Blocked from the American people hearing them
01:01:26Do you think that he's trying to hide something
01:01:27And maybe Acting Attorney General Todd Lynch could comment on
01:01:31If they will countersue and release those tapes to the American politics
01:01:33Are you talking about with respect to his book?
01:01:36Well, I'd like to see it, I don't know
01:01:37Maybe there's some constitutional reason, I don't know
01:01:40I'd like to, I would like to see what he has to say
01:01:42Because we can never allow what happened to this country to happen
01:01:47The man was grossly incompetent
01:01:49And the Democrats, I call them the Democrats because the policy is so bad
01:01:54But they came very close to destroying our country
01:01:59We can never let it happen again
01:02:00And I hope that you're able to produce that
01:02:03I think it would be a very interesting reading for people
01:02:05The Press, Mr. President, Iran wants control of the strait or moves
01:02:09Would you accept a short-term deal that allows Iran and Oman to control the strait?
01:02:14And would they have to open it immediately?
01:02:16Or would you be open to that happening over a period of time?
01:02:18Yeah, no, the strait is going to be open to everybody
01:02:21It's international waters
01:02:23Nobody is going to control it
01:02:24We're going to watch over it, we'll watch over it
01:02:26But nobody is going to control it
01:02:28That's part of the negotiation that we have
01:02:30They would like to control it
01:02:31Nobody is going to control it
01:02:32It's international waters
01:02:34And Oman will behave just like everybody else
01:02:37And we'll have to blow them up
01:02:38They understand that, they'll be fine
01:02:40How much economic pressure do you feel to get the strait of hormones open?
01:02:47Well, you have to say, the United States has so much oil
01:02:50That we are an export of oil
01:02:52So we have plenty of oil
01:02:53We're very lucky, we're blessed with the greatest piece of land in the world from that standpoint
01:02:59And we have more than anybody else
01:03:01And now when you add Venezuela to it
01:03:03We have, I think, 64% of the world's oil
01:03:07And we're getting along very well with Venezuela, by the way
01:03:10It's being run really beautifully
01:03:12The big companies are moving in
01:03:14It's going to be amazing
01:03:15Because it's also, like us, they're very blessed in that sense
01:03:19But we have natural energy that no other country has
01:03:22We have more than anybody else
01:03:24So, it's really a world problem
01:03:27Because most of the world doesn't have that
01:03:29And we're making it available
01:03:30During the closing, I don't know if you've seen some of the satellite pictures
01:03:36Boats, hundreds of boats lined up
01:03:38It looks like, I used to say, the Long Island Expressway with cars
01:03:41They're lined up and they're coming to Texas, Louisiana
01:03:44They're coming to Alaska
01:03:46To fill up their boat, their big boat
01:03:49Some of them are really big, you know, 2 billion gallons
01:03:51Even bigger than that now they make them
01:03:53They make them up to 4, Chris, I hear
01:03:55Now they make them up to 4
01:03:56The 4 are now the big ones
01:03:58Used to be the ones
01:03:59Now it's 4 million barrels of
01:04:02Think of that, 4 million barrels of oil in one boat
01:04:05But they're lined up and they're right now heading to Texas
01:04:09And they've already filled up and they've gone back
01:04:11In addition to that, you have a lot of boats
01:04:14You have about 1,400, 1,500 boats in the strait
01:04:17Wanting to get out, and at the right time we'll release them
01:04:19But the American peoples are seeing higher gas prices
01:04:22Yeah, they are
01:04:22It's come down a little bit, but it's still 4 dollars
01:04:25It'll come down a lot, it'll come down to where it was before
01:04:28We had it, when I was in Iowa
01:04:30We were driving by and we saw gas stations
01:04:35$1.90 a gallon, $1.85, $1.87 were the three that we saw
01:04:41We had it down in some places below
01:04:43Now we can't help a California where they charge so much tax
01:04:46You know, you lower it and they charge tax
01:04:49They've got to straighten the act out in California
01:04:51But we had oil, we had gasoline down to a very low number
01:04:54I think we'll be hitting that number
01:04:58Shortly after that whole excursion ends
01:05:02But regardless of anything
01:05:05Regardless of anything, as Marco said better than anybody can say it
01:05:08You can't let them have a nuclear weapon
01:05:11They would use it instantly, they wouldn't think about it
01:05:14They would use it instantly
01:05:15I've gotten to know them, they would use it instantly
01:05:18Does that give you more urgency, Mr. President?
01:05:20You've said that you're in no rush to make a deal
01:05:22But with gas prices that are so high across the country
01:05:24People are paying more for travel
01:05:26Does that give you more urgency to make a deal?
01:05:28Why does that make a deal?
01:05:29Well, I'll tell you the primary urgency I have
01:05:31I said this, it wasn't covered properly
01:05:32But the primary urgency is that we can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon
01:05:38But at the same time, we have a tremendous amount of oil
01:05:42Gas, coal, we have tremendous amounts of energy
01:05:45We're blessed with something very special
01:05:47Those prices are going to come down, they're going to come down fast
01:05:50I think that you'll see, actually, Todd
01:05:52I think you're going to see lower prices that we had even before we did this
01:05:55Now, I knew there'd be an increase
01:05:58I said, we have a choice, we don't have to do anything
01:06:00And in two years, or one year, or two months
01:06:02Because Iran would have had a, if we didn't hit them with the B-2 bombers
01:06:06Iran would have had a nuclear weapon within two weeks from that date
01:06:10Because they were ready to go
01:06:12And if they had a new weapon, a nuclear weapon, it would have been used already
01:06:16It also would have been used had I not terminated the Obama deal
01:06:19The Iran nuclear deal, as we call it
01:06:22That was in my first term
01:06:24Had I not terminated that, they would have had a nuclear weapon a long time ago
01:06:28I would say it was a guarantee that it would have been used
01:06:31And it would have blown up Israel, it would have blown up the entire Middle East
01:06:36And that's never going to happen
01:06:37Yeah, please
01:06:38On Iran, would you be comfortable with Russia or China taking their stockpile of highly English geranium?
01:06:44And have they offered to do that?
01:06:45No, I wouldn't be comfortable
01:06:47That would not make me comfortable
01:06:48Is the U.S. considering easing sanctions on Iran to allow Iran to sell its nuclear market?
01:06:54No, we're not talking about any easing of sanctions or giving money
01:06:57No sanctions, no money, no nothing
01:07:01We have control of money that they claim is theirs
01:07:06We'll keep control of that money
01:07:07When they behave properly and when they do what's right, we'll let them have their money
01:07:12But right now, we're not doing that
01:07:14And it's not, one thing is not contingent on the other
01:07:17Mr. President, on the shooting last weekend
01:07:20It came barely a month after the third assassination attempt against you
01:07:24During the White House Respondents Dinner
01:07:25What was your reaction when you first heard about the latest shooting?
01:07:29And what gives you the courage to really keep doing your job effectively without thinking about these threats everyday?
01:07:34Well, I can't think about it because if I thought about it a lot, you know, I wouldn't be a
01:07:38very good president
01:07:39I wouldn't be here, probably
01:07:41I'd be up in some room with a locked door and say, just leave me alone
01:07:45So I can't really think about it
01:07:47It's such something that, it's a sad part of life
01:07:52It's a dangerous business
01:07:54What I'm doing is a dangerous business
01:07:55And they say, and look, we have been maybe the most consequential
01:08:01But we certainly have been one of the most consequential
01:08:03This group has been a very consequential administration
01:08:06And they say, if you're not consequential, you don't have so much problem
01:08:10If you are consequential, you do
01:08:12So you have to look at that
01:08:14But it's a shame, it's a sad, it's a very sad fact of life
01:08:20Look, anybody in office, not only in this country, in other countries too
01:08:25But when you are a consequential president, your life is in grave danger
01:08:30I knew that, yeah
01:08:31Mr. President, how would you characterize the current state of the talks with Iran
01:08:35I guess if it were a football field, what yard line would you be on?
01:08:39Well, I think we're doing very well
01:08:40They are starting to give us the things that they have to give us
01:08:44And if they do, that's great
01:08:45And if they won't, then the man on my left is going to finish them off
01:08:49Is there a time frame in your mind?
01:08:51What?
01:08:52Is there a time frame in your mind for us?
01:08:54I mean, it happens quickly
01:08:55The problem is, every time I mention a time frame
01:08:57For instance, I see, you know, we've been doing this for a few months
01:09:02Vietnam lasted 19 years
01:09:05Korea lasted 8 years
01:09:07Afghanistan lasted many years
01:09:09They were all many, many years
01:09:10And we were into it for a few months
01:09:12And I read about you people like you
01:09:15What's taking so long?
01:09:17But we're in it
01:09:17You know, we lost between two wars, two big wars
01:09:21Venezuela and Iran
01:09:23We lost 13 souls, 13 great people
01:09:25Met the parents, great people
01:09:28And it's a terrible thing
01:09:30But 13, if you look at the war casualties
01:09:34And the deaths and wars from Vietnam and all that
01:09:37They lost hundreds of thousands of people in numerous of these wars
01:09:42We're very cognizant of that
01:09:44We want to lose very few
01:09:46We want very few to be injured
01:09:47We're very careful
01:09:50But war is war, war is dangerous
01:09:53But we've lost 13
01:09:54And so the Democrats took an ad
01:09:55Putting in the 13 people that were lost
01:09:57And when you look at hundreds of thousands of people that were lost in
01:10:02The Middle East, Iraq, all the different wars we were in
01:10:08We have done an amazing job
01:10:10With that being said, I hate to lose 13
01:10:11I hate to lose one
01:10:13But we've been very capable
01:10:15We've been very capable
01:10:17When you think of it, we took over Venezuela in one day
01:10:22We have done a similar job
01:10:24But we said, well, give them a little chance
01:10:26At the request of somebody that we greatly respect from Pakistan
01:10:29The Field Marshal and the Prime Minister
01:10:32They've been great
01:10:34They asked us would we pause the war for a little while
01:10:36Because they'd like to do it
01:10:37So we'll do that
01:10:39But we had them beat
01:10:42You know, no better now
01:10:44We could close it out very quickly
01:10:46If we can do it in a different way, that would be good
01:10:48If we get everything we want
01:10:51But we could close that out very, very quickly
01:10:53And we may have to
01:10:54I don't think so, but we may have to
01:10:56The Pressure about the World Cup, if I could
01:10:58The U.S. spent a lot of money getting the World Cup here
01:11:01And increasing the infrastructure
01:11:03Does the economic benefit outweigh the cost?
01:11:05No, the World Cup is great
01:11:06It's the most successful they've ever had, ticket-wise
01:11:09They've never had anything that sold so quickly
01:11:12It's amazing because it's the United States
01:11:14You don't think of
01:11:14I call it soccer, you know, it's just
01:11:17It's just easier to do
01:11:18Because we have football and they have two footballs, right?
01:11:21They call it football
01:11:22But I never, most people never thought they'd see anything like that
01:11:26The World Cup, it's turned out to be the most successful World Cup
01:11:30From the standpoint of what's happening
01:11:32Than they've ever had
01:11:33But yeah, please
01:11:34Thank you so much, Roman Ortiz with Turning Point USA
01:11:38I have one question for you and one question for Vice President J.B. Vance on fraud
01:11:42What's your message to the New Jersey leaders pushing back against ICE operations at the Lane Hall?
01:11:48About ICE?
01:11:49Yes
01:11:49Or about NICE, as I call it
01:11:51The NICE facility
01:11:54I'd love to change the name, call it NICE
01:11:56They do a great job and it's all paid for, protesters
01:12:00You know, you can see by the signs, the signs are all made by the same beautiful factory
01:12:04It's a printing plant
01:12:05In fact, I'm thinking about using it, they do such a nice job
01:12:08These aren't protesters, these people are fake
01:12:10They're all paid for
01:12:12And I will tell you, Tom Holman and that whole group
01:12:15And now Mark Wayne is so incredible
01:12:17Mark Wayne, do you want to just respond to that?
01:12:20We run the finest facilities anywhere in the world of their type
01:12:24But we have some horrible killers
01:12:26We have killers, we have guys that have murdered numerous people in there
01:12:30And these are the people they're trying to protect
01:12:32There's nobody that runs a facility like we do
01:12:36Mark Wayne, please
01:12:37Yeah, it shows this radical left Democrats' priorities when they decide to go out and protest
01:12:44A detention center where we're housing rapists, child predators, murderers, drug dealers
01:12:50And they choose Memorial Day, of all the day, of all the time to go protest something that they say
01:12:57that they're
01:12:58That it's because they're on a hunger strike when there was only a handful of individuals that was refusing to
01:13:02eat because they want their ethnic group, or their ethnic right food
01:13:05Well, they can go back to the country and get whatever food they want
01:13:08The fact is, we're giving them the calories they want
01:13:10This isn't Holiday Inn
01:13:12We're giving them sanitation
01:13:14But for the Democrats and the Governor, like Governor Sherrill and Senator Kim and Senator Booker
01:13:22To go out and do something like this, of all the days, is very frustrating
01:13:26And we see Antifa signs are literally out there
01:13:29The local police, refusing, literally refusing to respond
01:13:34They barricaded, not allowing our employees to come in and out
01:13:37ICE has to go out there, remove the barricade
01:13:39And then you have one of the senators complain because he got splattered with a, you know, pepper ball
01:13:44I'm sorry, you probably shouldn't have been there
01:13:47You know, one thing I'll say about that, the local police
01:13:50I know a lot of the New Jersey police, they're phenomenal, they love us
01:13:53But they're told not to do anything
01:13:55They love us, they love him
01:13:58They even love me a lot
01:14:01And they, I'm in New Jersey a lot, it's great
01:14:05I mean, I think it's a great place
01:14:06It's got a group of people running it now that are having a hard time
01:14:11But they really, they really like this administration
01:14:16They love this administration more than any administration they've ever had
01:14:20And they're thanking me all the time
01:14:21And you know, I see those, I see those guys going up and down the Jersey Turnpike
01:14:26With their big, beautiful hats on
01:14:28I say, I'd like to look like that someday
01:14:31You know, they're great
01:14:32No, these are great people, and they love him
01:14:34And they love ICE, and they love the Border Patrol
01:14:37And they're not allowed to talk to anybody
01:14:39It's like, but it all comes from the top
01:14:42They have to follow orders, they want to keep their jobs
01:14:46Are you expecting Congress to pass a federal gas tax holiday?
01:14:50A gas tax holiday?
01:14:53Well, it's something we might talk about
01:14:55Let's see what happens over the next week, two weeks
01:14:57A lot of good things are happening
01:15:01No, I was invited to, I was going to go on Wednesday
01:15:04But they closed it out very quickly, they're great
01:15:07And Jim Dolan's a great guy
01:15:08He's, as you know, owns and in charge of Madison Square Garden
01:15:13He's having a good year
01:15:15Boy, what a team
01:15:16They win all their games
01:15:17They really, they have some great players
01:15:20I think I'll be going to one of the games
01:15:22I was invited by numerous people
01:15:25And Jim, and I think I'll be going
01:15:27It's great, great to see it
01:15:28You know, the Knicks have
01:15:29The Knicks have really, they've really suffered for years
01:15:33And they're doing right, they're doing right now very well
01:15:38Do you accept an agreement with Iran that just calls for further talks on the uranium?
01:15:45Or is the only option...
01:15:46No, the basics, no, I would for some of it
01:15:48You know, because it's a memorandum of understanding for speed
01:15:51One of the things that will happen is the strait will open immediately
01:15:56Immediately
01:15:57But it's got to be perfect
01:15:58I'm not going to do this
01:15:59I didn't do this to get a crummy agreement
01:16:01The worst agreement ever signed was by Barack Hussein Obama
01:16:06What a horrible agreement that was
01:16:08It was a setback for this country, for the whole world
01:16:11The Middle East would have blown itself up
01:16:13No, and we'd like to have the countries we were talking about
01:16:16With Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and the others
01:16:19We'd like to have them immediately join
01:16:22And Steve Whitcoff is working on that with Jared and some others
01:16:25But we'd like to have them join the Abraham Accords
01:16:27It'll be historic if they do it
01:16:29I think they owe that to us, to be honest
01:16:32I think, because that really would be a tremendous sign
01:16:36And I think those countries owe it to us
01:16:38Steve, are you going to get them to sign?
01:16:43We're definitely pushing it, Mr. President
01:16:45I'm not sure we should make the deal if they don't sign
01:16:49You want to know the truth
01:16:50If they don't sign to join the Abraham Accords
01:16:53I don't know that we, you know, we have countries in there already
01:16:56UAE, great, great countries, bold countries
01:17:00And it's turned out to be so good, so effective
01:17:03And so we're, you know, requesting strongly that they join
01:17:09It'll be great, it'll be great for Saudi Arabia
01:17:11It'll be great for Qatar, Kuwait, the whole group
01:17:14So the Iran deal might be contingent on more countries joining
01:17:18I don't know, I don't want to say that
01:17:20I'm not going to give you, you know, what's contingent, what's not
01:17:23I can say that we can make a good deal right now
01:17:27But maybe not a great deal
01:17:28And if it's not a great deal, then I'm making it
01:17:31Because we can make a great deal with this guy right here
01:17:34And, but it's, you know, it's a lot nastier
01:17:37Probably wouldn't go as quickly
01:17:39We wouldn't be talking about as quickly
01:17:41But it would be foolproof
01:17:45But I think we're doing very well, Steve
01:17:46I think we're doing pretty well in terms of the negotiation
01:17:49But we'll see, if it's not going to be a real deal
01:17:52Because Obama had that horrible JCPOA
01:17:56Whatever it was, it was the worst deal
01:17:59It was a path for Iran to have a nuclear weapon very quickly
01:18:04Years ago they would have had a nuclear weapon
01:18:06We might not be here talking about it right now
01:18:09They would have had a nuclear weapon
01:18:11And frankly, Obama picked the wrong country
01:18:14He should have picked another country, I won't tell you what it was
01:18:17But he picked the wrong country when he picked Iran
01:18:20But we have things understood now with Iran
01:18:23It's been nasty, they've lost their leaders
01:18:25And it really is regime change
01:18:28You know, we didn't set out for regime change
01:18:31But by the fact that we're dealing with a totally different group of people
01:18:35Than we were at the beginning
01:18:37And frankly, I find them to be much more reasonable
01:18:40I actually find them to be smarter
01:18:42But I find them to be much more reasonable
01:18:44This is regime change
01:18:47One regime is gone, another regime is gone
01:18:50We're dealing with the third
01:18:51Pieces of it, because some of them are gone too
01:18:55And I find them, I think, how can you have a stronger regime change than that, you know?
01:19:02So, I do find that
01:19:04I'd like to thank you all very much
01:19:05We're doing great, our country is doing fantastically well
01:19:08And this group of people is outstanding
01:19:10Thank you all very much
01:19:11Thank you
