00:00Iran. Iran is very much intent.
00:03They want very much to make a deal.
00:05So far, they haven't gotten there.
00:06We're not satisfied with it, but we will be.
00:09We will be either that or we'll have to just finish the job.
00:14But their navy is gone, as I've said a thousand times.
00:17Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone.
00:19Everything's gone, and they're negotiating on fumes.
00:23But we'll see what happens.
00:25Maybe we have to go back and finish it.
00:26Maybe we don't.
00:28Right now, I mean, you can speak to Steve Witkoff and Jared.
00:32They're doing a good job.
00:34But right now, I think it looks like they want to just make a deal.
00:39They want to — they have — I don't think they have a choice.
00:41They're just going back to the Internet because they're getting clobbered.
00:43Their economy is in freefall.
00:47They have 250 percent inflation.
00:49Their money has no value.
00:51Their whole economic system is broken down.
00:56They thought they were going to outweigh me.
00:57You know, we'll outweigh him.
00:59He's got the midterms.
01:00I don't care about the midterms.
01:01Look what happened last night.
01:02That was the prelude to the midterms.
01:05People understand it.
01:06They know that — very simple — Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
01:10I'm doing that for the world.
01:11I'm not doing it just for us.
01:13Iran is very much intent.
01:16They want very much to make a deal.
01:18So far, they haven't gotten there.
01:19We're not satisfied with it.
01:20But we will be.
01:22We will be either that or we'll have to just finish the job.
01:26But their navy is gone, as I've said a thousand times.
01:29Their navy is gone.
01:30Their air force is gone.
01:32Everything's gone.
01:33And they're negotiating on fumes.
01:36But we'll see what happens.
01:38Maybe we have to go back and finish it.
01:39Maybe we don't.
01:40Right now, I mean, you can speak to Steve Witkoff and Jared.
01:45They're doing a good job.
01:46But right now, I think it looks like they want to just make a deal.
01:51They want to — I don't think they have a choice.
01:53They're just going back to the Internet because they're getting clobbered.
01:56Their economy is in freefall.
01:59They have 250 percent inflation.
02:02Their money has no value.
02:04Their whole economic system is broken down.
02:08They thought they were going to out-weight me.
02:10You know, we'll out-weight him.
02:11He's got the midterms.
02:12I don't care about the midterms.
02:13Look what happened last night.
02:15That was the prelude to the midterms.
02:17People understand it.
02:18They know that, very simple, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
02:22I'm doing that for the world.
02:23I'm not doing it just for us.
02:25Iran wants control of the strait over moves.
02:27Would you accept a short-term deal that allows Iran and Oman to control the strait?
02:31And would they have to open it immediately, or would you be open to that happening over
02:35a period of time?
02:36No.
02:36The strait's going to be open to everybody.
02:38It's —
02:38And who would control it?
02:40It's international waters.
02:41Nobody's going to control it.
02:42We're going to watch over it.
02:44We'll watch over it.
02:44But nobody's going to control it.
02:46That's part of the negotiation that we have.
02:48They would like to control it.
02:49Nobody's going to control it.
02:51It's international waters.
02:52And Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we'll have to blow them up.
02:57They understand that.
02:58They'll be fine.
02:59The economy that you are building is not only strong, but secure and resilient and
03:04better positioned to compete globally.
03:06Real GDP has risen 2.7 percent over the past four quarters — something that many economists
03:13said couldn't be done — in the first quarter of 2026, despite the Iran conflict, GDP grew
03:20at a 2 percent annual rate.
03:22The Atlanta Fed GDP now is predicting 4.3 percent for this quarter.
03:28In terms of prices, I believe the prices are transitory.
03:32Oil will be lower than pre-conflict levels.
03:35When this ends, natural gas is already down.
03:37As you mentioned, drug and pharmaceutical prices are plummeting, and rent is down.
03:45We are more resilient to energy price fluctuations due to your energy dominance agenda, deregulatory
03:52efforts, and we have never sold so much energy to the rest of the world.
03:58Business investment rose at a 10.4 percent annual rate the first quarter.
04:02Capital expenditures and business equipment rose more than 17 percent.
04:07And that is as a result of the tax bill and tariffs.
04:12Jobs related to commercial construction and factory construction are up 90,000 since your
04:17inauguration.
04:19In the past two months, the private sector, as Kelly said, has added 313,000 new jobs.
04:25And those are private sector jobs, sir, including 13,000 manufacturing jobs.
04:31We have construction jobs.
04:32We're building the factories, and those will turn into manufacturing jobs.
04:37The stock market has hit new highs.
04:39The stock market lives in the future.
04:40It is seeing on the other side of this conflict.
04:43It is a strong symbol of optimism for the future.
04:47Corporate earnings are high, and wages are doing well.
04:51For the tax season, we had the best tax filing season in history, which is a victory for
04:57Main Street.
04:58The average refund was nearly $3,300, an 11 percent increase from last tax filing season, and
05:06importantly, 62 million returns had one of your four signature policies.
05:12No tax on tips.
05:13No tax on overtime.
05:14They reduced taxes.
05:1685 percent of our seniors paid no taxes on Social Security, and the deductibility of auto
05:22loans for American-made cars for what I believe is the most important government benefit for
05:31young people since the GI Bill.
05:34The Trump accounts.
05:35The app will be available on all major platforms tomorrow morning, and it will place the American
05:41dreams into the palms of the hands of parents and children.
05:45And nearly six million kids have been signed up for Trump accounts, and they will launch
05:51on July 4th, and it will be a great symbol of the 250th anniversary.
05:57Main Street Prosperity workers have seen positive wage gains.
06:01The unemployment rate remains low at 4.3 percent, and private sector job growth is strong.
06:08So just to reiterate, resilience and prosperity have been the marks of your second term.
06:16It's been great.
06:17It's been amazing.
06:18Excellent.
06:19Any questions?
06:20Thank you, Mr. President.
06:23Iris Howell with MTV's Sister Media with the Epoch Times.
06:26We've done a lot to clean up DCM-5 crimes here, and as a lot of Americans and people from
06:31all around the world are coming to the nation's capital ahead of the major 250th birthday events
06:37here, how important is it for you to really keep delivering on these results, but also
06:41what does it mean for America's identity on the national and international stage?
06:45So I'm very proud of DC, because when we came here a little more than a year ago, it
06:51was a very dangerous place, and now it's a very safe place.
06:55It's been incredible what's happened, as you see the crime numbers.
06:59We had restaurants closing up, and nobody wanted to go to a restaurant.
07:03They were afraid to walk to work.
07:04It was a very dangerous place, very unsafe, and now it's a very safe place.
07:10We brought in the National Guard.
07:12We worked with Cash and the FBI, and Janine is doing fantastically, and Todd, and everybody.
07:19And it's now a very safe city, and people are pouring in, and you see the grass is all
07:23beautiful.
07:24We put a lot of new grass in, because, you know, like people, grass has a life too.
07:29It was about a long time.
07:31But we, the waterfalls we talked about, and the fountains, most of them are in the final
07:38stages, or fixed.
07:39People are writing me letters, people are talking about it.
07:42They're all, we have some of the most beautiful fountains in the world.
07:45And they're all done.
