CD Projekt has officially announced a brand-new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt called Songs of the Past.

The expansion is being co-developed with Fool's Theory and will bring players back alongside Geralt of Rivia once again in 2027.

Considering how legendary expansions like Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone were, expectations are already sky-high.

00:00The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Songs of the Past has been announced and I gotta say I'm super excited.
00:06I can't wait for CDPR to preview this thing for us, especially new gameplay systems, features,
00:13setting, story, basically everything. The only thing that is disappointing to me is the fact
00:18that it's gonna come in 2027. I really hope the expansion is going to be available in 2026 but
00:25alas, it is what it is. I suspect GTA 6 might be the culprit but if they're going to cite
00:32them
00:32polishing it to perfection, I accept it. What really interests me is the involvement of Fool's Theory.
00:39That studio includes former Witcher developers and they're already working on the Witcher remake.
00:43Anyway, if you were hoping to get more information on the upcoming stream, that's not gonna be the
00:48case because it's all about Blood and Wine and Tucson. Apparently, we will be getting more
00:54information about songs of the past late this summer. All I can say is the wait is going to be
01:01agonizingly difficult but I kind of feel it's gonna be worth it.
