00:00I'm having a dispute with my neighbor and I want to know what you guys would do.

00:03So you can see, this is my lawn here. This is my neighbor's lawn.

00:07I want to have a fence put in the back of my house coming down here.

00:12This would be my backyard.

00:15I knew that this was not our boundary, our property line.

00:20But he kept cutting over and over and over closer into my yard.

00:24And so I asked to meet with him before I have the fence built because I was going to build

00:30it right about here, right?

00:33So it would give me like an extra foot, whatever.

00:36He was very condescending and very rude and kept telling me to get a survey because I think he believed

00:43that his lot was over here and that I was going to lose space.

00:47I knew that wasn't true.

00:49I knew my lot started about here.

00:54And I kept trying.

00:56I kept trying to work it out with him.

00:57I told him I didn't want to pay for this survey if I didn't have to.

01:00Like I was happy to give him some space because there's not a whole lot of space in his yard

01:04to begin with.

01:05I was trying to be kind, right?

01:07Nope.

01:08Now I want to be petty.

01:09And I need somebody to either give me permission to be petty or tell me that that's bad karma.

01:15So I did call a surveyor.

01:17I had the surveyor come out today.

01:22There's my lines.

01:24There's my boundary.

01:25That's his driveway.

01:27That's my boundary line.

01:29You can see it all the way.

01:32So I ended up with multiple feet more than I expected.

01:38And he's very unhappy, which I don't blame him.

01:41He's very unhappy with how close, how close that is, right?

01:46I wasn't home when the surveyor did this.

01:48He, the surveyor sent me these pictures.

01:50I have, I have him on my ring camera at like 2.06, putting my paperwork in my door.

01:58By 2.16, these stakes were out of the ground.

02:03The neighbor came and pulled them out of the ground because he didn't like where they were.

02:07So he picked them up and threw them on the ground.

02:10And he threw that one.

02:11And then there's a third one somewhere up there that he, that he threw on the ground.

02:15I, I did send my neighbor a message and told him that he cannot do that again.

02:20That's destruction of property.

02:21Um, if he doesn't like where the boundary lines are, he's more than welcome to get his own survey that

02:27he pays for.

02:28Um, he's welcome to call my guy to come back out that he's going to pay for.

02:33Uh, but he cannot move these again.

02:37I put them back where I could see the stakes had been, um, put them right back up.

02:42So anyway, he just kept saying that I was wrong.

02:45The surveyor was wrong.

02:46He's going to the city.

02:47I've been asking this man for like two months to talk about this whole issue with me.

02:52And he kept just putting me off.

02:54He wouldn't do it.

02:55He was not amenable.

02:56He wanted me to pay for everything to have it done.

02:59And I was fine doing that.

03:00He doesn't want to split the cost of the fence.

03:02No problem.

03:02He doesn't want to pay for the survey.

03:04No problem.

03:05I got it.

03:06So now I have two options.

03:07What, what I'm thinking is either have the fence coming here to the property line, remove

03:16that tree and just put it there, or I can cut in where the tree is and kind of do

03:21an

03:22angle.

03:22If that makes sense, like do an angle right here over to the edge of the yard and then

03:29go straight across.

03:30So if this was you, what would you do?

03:32Would you, if this was me, uh, I'm, I'm taking all of my stuff.

03:41So that fence is going to be, is going to be from over here to back behind her head to

03:47right next to his driveway.

05:37Because at the end of the day, if she doesn't go either one of those routes where she takes

05:43all of her property or she sells, you know, the property that she's not going to put the

05:49fence on, when she goes to sell her property, this is what a lot of people aren't going to

05:52think of.

05:53When she goes to sell her property, the new owners are going to be like, bro, why is this

05:58fence like not taking up the whole property for the, for this house?

06:04This property line goes way over there.

06:06Why is this fence like all, you know, wonky like this?

06:09Because our property is extended.

06:13Like the, the new buyers going to go, they going to want to have all, all they laying.
