00:00The internet is starting to come back on in Iran. Could this be the government's way to carry
00:06favour with the people in Iran? Because the internet has now been in a blackout for 88 days.
00:12That's the whole time this war has begun, been on. So in answer to your question, yes, I think that
00:18there probably is a little bit of an attempt by the government of Iran to make sure that they are
00:24occurring favour, as you suggest, with the people. You know, there are 92 million Iranians who have
00:32been without internet, as you said, for almost three months. So one of the issues I'm sure that
00:38the government is trying to alleviate is that level of frustration, right? They want to make sure that
00:44while they might not be too concerned with making sure everybody's happy, they want to make sure that
00:51they can alleviate some of the frustration. I do think that that's part of the political survival
00:58instincts that the government is going to be going through as they're questioning what is it that we
01:03need to do to make sure that, you know, the majority of people are sort of kept comfortable so that
01:10they're not thinking about perhaps overthrowing the government. But I do think that the bigger issue
01:17at play here is the digital economy. And we have to think about the, think about the daily conveniences
01:24that we experience. And if there was no internet, all of those would be gone. But it's also so much
01:31more than that. It's businesses, it's millions of jobs and millions of people, as well as millions of
01:38dollars that have been lost as a result of no internet for almost three months. So the government,
01:45I think, by lifting this blackout, I think things, that's an indication that things are getting back,
01:53or at least moving in that direction, where they're going to be getting back to normal very soon,
01:57which tells me that there seems to be a comfort level with whatever it is that the US and Iran
02:05are
02:05negotiating, what points they're stuck on. I think it's getting to that point where they're feeling
02:11comfortable enough that they're also not just bringing the economy back, but they're also
02:18comfortable with the Iranians learning more about what news organizations outside Iran are saying.
