00:00that I was listening this morning to the guys driving my daughter to school and you know Joe
00:06was talking about how the right when I turned it on this was the conversation about how he has
00:11season tickets to the bills and at least he wasn't sure that he wanted to go to a game before

00:18opener you're going to have two preseason home games and before those that scrimmage that they
00:25do presumably all at the stadium so it got me sort of I know probably how they were thinking
00:31which is like all right well hockey ended a week ago and it's going to be 80 today and like
00:38the next
00:38thing is the bills and I am not I like the the you know the topic of whether you'd want
00:46to go to those
00:48preseason games or that practice and Jeremy was saying like well don't you want to know where the
00:51bathroom is and don't you want to know where the beer is and you know Joe is maybe thinking like
00:56well I can probably figure that out but I go to the other stadiums that I've never been in and
01:01usually find my way to a bathroom be the beer I think I'll get it right but it was it
01:06was nice to
01:07listen to and I was thinking about it and thinking that I am just totally not not only not prepared
01:15but I don't think there's any way for me to get prepared for for the first time in my lifetime
01:21and
01:21for most of our lifetime seeing the bills play somewhere new I know there are things about it
01:27they're going to look the same the end zones or something like I know I know there are things
01:30about it that they are going to be made to look similar of course but I am not prepared to
01:37see
01:37the bills play on grass in a stadium where the seats are all different colors and it's like there's
01:43sort of a roof and just like everything that will be I mean camera angles and yeah not even to
01:49mention going to a game there and you know it'll be the same to a point which is basically like
01:57when
01:57I type in the address leaving my house on the island it's going to take me the same same way
02:02that I've always gone right mostly but you know once you get out of your car totally different are we
02:08I mean it's still may are we ready like is there any way to even be ready for it just
02:16like how
02:17especially if you have tickets like Joe was saying do I even want to go before it I'm not sure

02:23my first game to be a preseason game when we talked about the stadium last year or even since we

02:30since we have known it was going to be replaced you know once in a while we'll talk about like

02:36when it opened and oh who did they play and what happened but there was there were preseason games
02:42then they played six preseason games in those years yeah so there might have been three I don't
02:47know there might have been three preseason games in in rich stadium before they opened their regular
02:52season schedule and wasn't there there might have been a kickoff return in one of them that was like
02:56the first thing that happened yeah that saves it a little bit otherwise like they're not events
03:02preseason games are not events right so anyway I was just thinking about the people who are thinking
03:07about this and like is there any way to sort of prepare yourself mentally for you know sitting
03:15down to watch the bills this year starting at week two I guess and they're playing in some other
03:21place that's just not right yeah that's not right I don't mean it's not right but like I meant to
03:30say
03:30right and then I said but anyway it happens it is yeah I haven't really thought about it either
03:37um I'm not a season ticket holder I don't know we and you and I you've not been there through
03:44any of
03:44the phase of construction at all right okay me neither have I um I think we've got an invite
03:50uh at some point although I mean there's not I don't know the phase of construction it might be
03:53pretty cool to go walk through there now it's maybe now I don't want to maybe now it's too late
03:58right might it might be like a version of what you're describing do you want your first time in there
04:03to be you know some Wednesday morning before work where we get a tour or do you want it to
04:08just be
04:08a game you're going to they're hearing you say you sleep till 11 so it's almost too late well
04:13yeah but no one time thing you're burying the lead the point is I never do that um until yesterday

04:19right so even just thinking about the the way whether it's a one o'clock Sunday or an evening game

04:30whatever it is you know you're turning the game on even on tv it looks a certain way the lighting
04:37looks a certain way like everything about the color of the turf the walls the what you can see of

04:42crowd like you know your whole life you can tell that that that's a home game like immediately I see
04:50photos of other teams other players during free agency or whatever and I can oh that that's the
04:56bill stadium I see pictures of bands backstage from huge shows they play what is this but no
05:02that's not buffalo there's too many tears in the in the you know the 200s 300s whatever you know what
05:09it looks like and you're gonna whether you're going or not you're you're gonna turn this game on
05:15and and then week over week is this gonna happen it does not look right it just doesn't it doesn't
05:21look like we're used to it looking it looks different I assume we're gonna hope it's gonna look
05:25better I'm sure we'll grow to like it but it never looked bad no it just was it yeah it

05:31how long does it take to get used to it a year boy I don't know like they're still they'll

05:40snow let's hope for a few months you know there'll be a snow game and we'll we'll talk about and

05:47find out together like what the impact of that is when I went out and I'm not sure if you

05:51but maybe you did this separately when I went out to that stadium experience place at the Walker
05:56Center see I didn't even do that okay I did that and they were explaining how all this research went
06:04into wind direction and like they think they've been able to mitigate or maybe better predict or
06:10whatever it is it's like what is going to happen with the wind in the stadium and so that's I
06:16mean we
06:17dig into the bills on levels that make it interesting to us about like where the wind is
06:25blowing and they'll show the the goalposts and those flags like oh well it's a swirling winds
06:29are they still swirling are they going to be swirling like they used to be I missed this presentation
06:35but I've read plenty about this I don't know if the word neutralize is too strong yeah but I think
06:41that's what they're after yeah and you know the early returns during construction were like that
06:47it it worked once they did whatever was that needed to be done that was supposed to neutralize that that
06:53on days where it was insanely windy out there inside the stadium it was not and is that good I

07:00that's what they're striving for I know but is that good yeah I'm gonna go with yes don't you miss

07:05days of Carrie Blanchard missing all the field goals making one of which would have changed the
07:11direction of the season for the Jets yeah I don't know I just don't know if there's any way to

07:17of like what do you do how do you get ready you just you can't right you're gonna close your

07:22and try to picture it and look at videos and drone shots and different like fine but I don't know
07:29what I'm looking at until they're they're out there in uniforms against you know the Lions like okay
07:35well I've experienced watching the NFL where it's a new stadium like all right I'm sort of I've done
07:43that at least I'm right qualified many many times but now this is a new Bills stadium which is a
07:51whole
07:51different thing I don't go back to the rock pile I mean that's just a different completely different
07:56era and it's like mud to when I think of videos of games there it's just like mud this won't

08:04that there'll be grass but no mud that's the plan you hope so right can you guarantee no mud I

08:13know if you can guarantee no mud let's hope yeah if there's mud they messed it up they're in real
